Agnieszka Radwanska is back to the Rado family
Rado names tennis great Agnieszka Radwanska as Friend of the Brand
“The Magician” returns to the family
Rado, the Swiss watch brand known worldwide for its design excellence and mastery of materials, has welcomed Agnieszka Radwanska back to the family as its newest Friend of the Brand. The celebrated former tennis superstar, who spent much of her career in the world’s top ten, was a global ambassador for Rado from 2014 until her retirement in late 2018.
Fondly remembered for the creativity of her shot making, she was a fan favourite throughout a career that was cut short by injuries. Her style of play and her ability to execute nearly-impossible shots are reflected in the nicknames given to her by tennis journalists and broadcasters over the years, including “The Magician”, “The Ninja”, and “The Professor”.
A perfect harmony
Agnieszka joined the brand in Switzerland for the 40-year celebrations of high-tech ceramic, wearing the Integral Jubilé. With its smooth high-tech ceramic finish and timeless brilliance, the watch reflects the grace and quiet strength that have always shaped her presence on and off the court. Together with the True Square Open Heart – a timepiece that reveals its beauty through transparency and structure – it will accompany her throughout the partnership, forming a natural dialogue between her elegance and Rado’s iconic design.
Rado’s CEO Adrian Bosshard is excited about Agnieszka’s return to the brand’s family. He says, “What Agnieszka achieved, both on and off the tennis court, was incredible and her style was unique and completely original. She remains a woman of passion, perseverance, and elegance, qualities which align perfectly with Rado’s core values of innovation, strength, and precision. We’re looking forward to being part of her ongoing journey.”
Although Agnieszka Radwanska is no longer competing on court, tennis is still an important part of her life. She has distinguished herself as a coach at the highest professional level, most recently with talented countrywoman Magda Linette.
Agnieszka is pleased to be returning to Rado as a Friend of the Brand. She says, “It is a pleasure to return to Rado after eight years. My first partnership with the brand was both rewarding and memorable, and reconnecting now feels wonderfully natural. Rado’s longstanding support for tennis and its continuous pursuit of innovation make this collaboration very special to me. I am proud to join the Rado family once more.”
