True Square Open Heart

WELCOME TO THE SHAPE – AND COLOURS – OF THINGS TO COME
A significant part of Rado’s reputation was built on its square high-tech ceramic watches, and the True Square collection, since its launch, has taken the world by storm with its compelling interpretation of this iconic Rado shape. Thanks to its square injected monobloc high-tech ceramic case, it is light and scratchresistant, and it delivers incredible wearer comfort.

Among the models that have generated the most buzz are the True Square Open Heart watches, featuring skeletonized dials whose crisp lines and clear windows offer evocative glimpses of the R734 automatic calibre at work. Rado is now enhancing the collection with two new True Square Open Heart timepieces, one in eye-catching turquoise with diamond hour markers and another in white, featuring a kaleidoscopic range of coloured gem stones.

These are watches that will catch you checking the time more frequently than usual. And if you decide that one of these striking timepieces is an ideal gift for a special someone, know that you’ll be in her thoughts with each glance at the time. Let’s meet the newest members of the True Square Open Heart family.

The first is particularly alluring with its turquoise high-tech monobloc ceramic case and crown. It has a vertically brushed turquoise dial with silver-coloured bevels, which is highlighted by 12 Top Wesselton, VSSI full cut diamonds with a combined weight of 0.096 carat and a turquoise-coloured flange. The rhodiumcoloured central hour and minute hands are coated with white veneer and white Super-LumiNova®, which makes them legible in all lighting conditions. There is also a rhodium-coloured central seconds hand and the presentation is rounded out with a rhodium-coloured moving anchor symbol on a silver background along with grey printed Rado and Automatic logos. The sandblasted titanium case back is fitted with a sapphire crystal, which allows additional views of the movement at the heart of the watch. Appropriately, this colourful watch is presented on a turquoise polished high-tech ceramic bracelet secured by a titanium 3-fold clasp.

The second watch being debuted is a True Square Open Heart with a polished white monobloc high-tech ceramic case and crown. Its white vertically brushed dial has rhodium-coloured bevels and each hour is marked by a coloured gemstone. The effect is especially impressive as the stones offer dazzling bits of colour in striking contrast to the dial. The rhodium-coloured central hour and minute hands are coated in orange Super-LumiNova®. Along with a central rhodium-coloured central seconds hand, the dial is distinguished by a rhodium-coloured moving anchor symbol on a white background as well as by grey printed Rado and Automatic logos. This study in white is delivered on a white polished high-tech ceramic bracelet with a titanium 3-fold clasp.

Both models are driven by a superb automatic movement, the Rado calibre R734. Thanks to its Nivachron™ hairspring, adjusted in 5 positions, it offers outstanding resistance to the effects of magnetic fields. It is not only a technical marvel, it is also an expression of the design elements for which Rado has long been celebrated: the movement has an appealing circular grain decoration and the Côte de Genèvedecorated movement holder adds another intriguing touch. The R734 offers an impressive power reserve of 80 hours. The watches are water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).

Distinctive and design-led, these new Rado True Square Automatic Open Heart models combine the shape, the colours, and the performance of things to come.
