Anatom - Living Colours

LIVING COLOURS WELCOME THE SUMMER IN STYLE
What is it about the Rado Anatom? First of all, there’s that design. When the first one was launched in 1983, it was well ahead of its time but loyal to Rado’s historical aesthetic appeal. Forty years later, the updated, upgraded Anatom also delivered a striking contemporary flair that sparked an enthusiastic global response. A quick look will tell you why. Like the watch that inspired them, those models are immediately recognizable across a crowded room. They have Rado’s legendary visual allure to be sure, but there has always been so much more to the Anatom story than first meets the eye. And now, just in time for summer, Rado has created three stunningly colourful interpretations of one of its most storied timepieces.

Like every Rado Anatom watch, these new models deliver unparalleled wearer comfort, thanks to their ergonomic design that delivers effortless harmony with the human wrist. These appealing contours also mean that along with wearability, the Anatoms have a visual flow that distinguishes them from every other wristwatch in the world. Design, of course, shares centre stage with material technology at Rado and the Anatom watches are delivered in a case crafted from the brand’s latest high-tech ceramic. This is complemented by an edge-to-edge sapphire crystal that is perfectly shaped to follow the anatomical lines that earned the watch’s unusual name.

The new Rado Anatom models have been created in vivid colours perfectly suited to the summer sun. Of course, they’ll also brighten every wearer’s mood throughout the rest of the year. The colours take their inspiration from some of our favourite fruits: lemon yellow, grapefruit red or lime green. Let’s meet the watches.

Each of the new Rado Anatom models features a polished black high-tech ceramic bezel, along with a cylindrical sapphire crystal with bevels. It is metallized in black and has anti-reflective coating on the inside. The case middle is made of sandblasted black PVD coated stainless steel. The stainless steel case back is fitted with a sapphire crystal.

At the heart of these Rado Anatom watches is a Rado calibre R766 mechanical movement with an antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring. The movement is adjusted in five positions and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours. The much-loved moving Rado anchor symbol on a black background is placed below the 12 o’clock hour marker. Each model has a date window at the 6 o’clock position and rhodium coloured hands coated with white Super-Lumi-Nova®. They are water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).

Dazzling in the colour of a bright midday sun, the lemon-yellow model has a black to yellow gradient dial. It is presented on a yellow strap made of fluorine rubber (FKM). This summery fashion statement will add a certain solar flare wherever it is worn, whether in the office, a restaurant, or a sandy beach.

Green is associated with well-kept summer lawns and the trees, whose renewed foliage each spring and summer is a perfect expression of our optimism and a reason for hope. The lime-green Anatom stands out with its black to lime green gradient dial and its matching rubber strap.

What a pleasure it is to enjoy an outdoor breakfast in the morning summer sun. A highlight is always cutting a grapefruit in half to expose the unique red of the juicy fruit inside. Rado has captured that colour in the Anatom that features a black to grapefruit red gradient dial and the comfortable, durable rubber strap in a perfectly matching red hue.

Each of the straps – whether in yellow, green, or red – is flexible, odourless and remarkably resistant to wear and tear, UV radiation and a wide range of acids and solvents. Thanks to this brilliant bold strap combined with the high-tech ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal, the watch is as durable as it is beautiful and comfortable.

The three colourful new members of the growing Anatom family exemplify at once Rado’s mastery of materials and its ergonomic expertise. In bright, living colours, they are set to attract a whole new generation of watch lovers to one of the world’s most distinctive timepieces.
