Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph

PHENOMENALLY VERSATILE, POWERFULLY BLUE

Up to the task during aquatic exploits, adrenaline-fuelled adventures and epic on-court battles. Plus, equally at home in business meetings, on date night, and as an accessory to life’s most glamorous occasions. Yes, the Rado Captain Cook Chronograph in high-tech ceramic is a timepiece that refuses to be typecast. Balancing rugged performance credentials, retro details, modern materials and contemporary style, this is a carefully curated heir to decades of Captain Cook watchmaking heritage – a range first launched in 1962 – with a beguiling dark blue dial and matching ceramic bezel now debuting on a chronograph.

Boundary defying

The piece joins an existing line-up of two Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronographs, both launched in 2025: one, an alluring masterpiece in black with rose gold-coloured embellishments, the other pairing a dark green dial and bezel against a sleek plasma case and bracelet, with stainless steel detailing. But this sultry blue hue brings something new to the table. Its intrigue is in its very darkness. Like ocean waters encountered by only the boldest of divers, or the sky at first light, with its promise of exhilarating new adventures, it is a powerful colour that seems to straddle different realms. In the dial, it discreetly reflects light and luxury, while its polished high-tech ceramic bezel exudes craftsmanship and poise. In combination with a high-tech ceramic case and bracelet in plasma, and rose gold detailing, it all makes for a remarkably sophisticated colourway. That lends the watch a boundary-defying, dynamic character. Depending on context and surroundings, one minute it looks innately sporty, the next it’s unmistakably stylish. (And somehow, it’s both of those things, all at once).

A story of precision

If that all feels focused on aesthetics, let’s dig a little deeper. This is, after all, a watch featuring a complication created for pulse-raising pursuits, where precision is essential. Chunky hour and minute hands point to purposeful indices, all finished with white Super-LumiNova® – leaving no room for ambiguity. The second hand in the main dial, and those on the chronograph’s minute- and hourcounter subdials, feature a painted red tip – a distinctly retro touch that’s a design staple in watches of this nature. Its box-shaped sapphire crystal boasts an anti-reflective coating on both faces – enhancing legibility. And its chronograph pushers are reassuringly substantial, making stop/start/reset commands decisive and intuitive – never fiddly. The Captain Cook Chronograph in high-tech ceramic is powered by a Rado calibre R801 automatic movement, assembled with 37 jewels and boasting a 59-hour power reserve. With an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring, tested in five positions, wearers can trust in its accuracy.

Ruggedised style

It’s certainly built for hard knocks. High-tech ceramic is harder than steel and impervious to scratches. And by the way, its plasma appearance is no surface finish, but runs right through the entire material, having been ‘baked in’ at 1,450°C. It makes for an intriguing depth of metallic grey that’s almost pearlescent – beautiful to photograph, and even better in the flesh. As a watch created with exhilaration in mind, it goes without saying that it’s water resistant to 30 bar (or 300 metres).

Which takes us to how it feels. Because high-tech ceramic is remarkably comfortable, quickly adapting to match the temperature of the wearer’s skin, it becomes almost an extension of their body. Just one more reason Rado is known as the Master of Materials. In this case, a fluid-like bracelet follows the contours of the wrist, thanks to matt plasma high-tech ceramic outer links and polished plasma high-tech ceramic middle links.

As part of a range of three highly adaptable timepieces, designed as much for the great outdoors as for the urban environment, the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph is an impressively engineered chameleon.

About high-tech ceramic

High-tech ceramic truly embodies Rado’s experience and status as Master of Materials. Not only is it a material of astonishing durability, with remarkable scratch-resistant characteristics, but it is also beautifully light and silky to touch, with the ability to quickly match a wearer’s body temperature, so it feels like an extension of themselves. That's why we say, ‘Feel it!’ High-tech ceramic was first introduced by Rado in 1986 following extensive research and development, and can only be produced under exacting conditions. The process starts with extremely pure and finely calibrated mineral powders of zirconium oxide, which are mixed with a specially developed plastic carrier medium and injected into precision moulds at pressures of around 1,000 bar. The moulds are baked, then allowed to cool and the plastic carrier agent dissolved chemically. The ceramic forms are then heated again, this time to 1,450°C. This precisely controlled sintering stage causes powdered particles to fuse together, resulting in a density and hardness that far exceeds regular ceramic. The reward is a material that stands at 1,250 on the Vickers scale and which can be machined and finished, using diamond tools, ready to be assembled into a Rado timepiece.

Rado’s pioneering plasma high-tech ceramic combines the qualities of high-tech ceramic with the unique shine of metal – without using metal. This unique process enriches completely finished white high-tech ceramic elements with carbon, giving them a metallic finish. They can have a polished, brushed or matt surface, which allows for a wide variety of looks. Such a complex material requires all the ingenuity that led to the development of high-tech ceramic along with some essential extra steps.

Agnieszka Radwanska is back to the Rado family

Rado names tennis great Agnieszka Radwanska as Friend of the Brand

“The Magician” returns to the family

Rado, the Swiss watch brand known worldwide for its design excellence and mastery of materials, has welcomed Agnieszka Radwanska back to the family as its newest Friend of the Brand. The celebrated former tennis superstar, who spent much of her career in the world’s top ten, was a global ambassador for Rado from 2014 until her retirement in late 2018.

Fondly remembered for the creativity of her shot making, she was a fan favourite throughout a career that was cut short by injuries. Her style of play and her ability to execute nearly-impossible shots are reflected in the nicknames given to her by tennis journalists and broadcasters over the years, including “The Magician”, “The Ninja”, and “The Professor”.

A perfect harmony

Agnieszka joined the brand in Switzerland for the 40-year celebrations of high-tech ceramic, wearing the Integral Jubilé. With its smooth high-tech ceramic finish and timeless brilliance, the watch reflects the grace and quiet strength that have always shaped her presence on and off the court. Together with the True Square Open Heart – a timepiece that reveals its beauty through transparency and structure – it will accompany her throughout the partnership, forming a natural dialogue between her elegance and Rado’s iconic design.

Rado’s CEO Adrian Bosshard is excited about Agnieszka’s return to the brand’s family. He says, “What Agnieszka achieved, both on and off the tennis court, was incredible and her style was unique and completely original. She remains a woman of passion, perseverance, and elegance, qualities which align perfectly with Rado’s core values of innovation, strength, and precision. We’re looking forward to being part of her ongoing journey.”

Although Agnieszka Radwanska is no longer competing on court, tennis is still an important part of her life. She has distinguished herself as a coach at the highest professional level, most recently with talented countrywoman Magda Linette.

Agnieszka is pleased to be returning to Rado as a Friend of the Brand. She says, “It is a pleasure to return to Rado after eight years. My first partnership with the brand was both rewarding and memorable, and reconnecting now feels wonderfully natural. Rado’s longstanding support for tennis and its continuous pursuit of innovation make this collaboration very special to me. I am proud to join the Rado family once more.”

Rado x tennis

Rado’s longstanding relationship with tennis began more than forty years ago at the Swiss Open in Gstaad, marking the start of an enduring partnership. For more than four decades, the innovative Swiss watch brand has supported the most inspiring talents in the sport – from rising stars supported through the Rado YoungStars programme, to iconic champions such as Ash Barty and Agnieszka Radwańska, whose achievements continue to energise the sport.

Rado’s commitment extends across generations, celebrating the passion, precision and perseverance that define tennis at every level. Today, the brand proudly takes its place courtside as Official Timekeeper of several ATP and WTA tournaments around the world — a role that reflects both its technical expertise and its deep connection to the game. The message is clear: advantage Rado!

Smriti Mandhana joins Rado as Friend of the Brand

RADO SIGNS CRICKET STAR SMRITI MANDHANA AS A FRIEND OF THE BRAND

Rado has named cricketing sensation Smriti Mandhana as its newest Friend of the Brand, in a move that reinforces its close connections to the sport. As one of the most dynamic talents in world cricket – and the undisputed face of Indian women’s cricket – Smriti combines exceptional performance with a cultural influence that extends far beyond the pitch. Her fearless energy, elegance and confidence make her a perfect match for Rado’s innovative and expressive design philosophy.

Smriti recently joined the brand in Switzerland for its 40-year celebrations dedicated to high-tech ceramic, wearing the Rado True Square Open Heart. With its open-worked dial, sculptural geometry and high-tech ceramic case, the watch reflects her unique balance of power and finesse – revealing its inner strength as boldly as she does. The timepiece will accompany her throughout the partnership, symbolising the harmony between her game and Rado’s unmistakable aesthetic.

Rado x cricket: a material match

Smriti’s outstanding talent and pioneering spirit exemplify the brand’s passion for reinvention – which defines its approach to watchmaking. “Rado continually sets new standards and surpasses all expectations,” she said. “That’s exactly how I approach cricket – and life in general. Becoming a Friend of the Brand feels like a natural partnership.

She joins an impressive line-up of Rado cricketing collaborators who, like Smriti, embody power, precision and the courage to push boundaries. South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada was recently announced as a Global Brand Ambassador, alongside Australian all-rounder Cameron Green.

The new partnership reinforces Rado’s commitment to cricket – two worlds driven by performance, timing and resilience, and united by an exacting approach to materials. In cricket, traditional bats made of willow and leather-covered balls sit alongside modern protective equipment. Rado is similarly inspired by the traditions of Swiss watchmaking but renowned for its forward-looking approach to materials, centred around its expertise in high-tech ceramic.

Sensational talent, cover star

In domestic cricket, Smriti continues to set the pace. As captain of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, she led the team to victory in India’s Women’s Premier League in the just-finished 2026 season, building on their earlier win in 2024. On the international stage, she is vice-captain of the Indian women’s national cricket team, reinforcing her leadership as one of the most influential players of her generation.

These accomplishments add to an extraordinary legacy already firmly established in world cricket. She was the highest scorer in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025 and was named ICC One Day International Cricketer of the Year in 2024. These honours build on earlier global recognition as ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year, in both 2021 and 2018.

Throughout her journey, Smriti has shattered multiple records, including the fastest century by an Indian player in Women’s One Day Internationals; the most centuries in a single calendar year (five) in women’s ODIs, and both the fastest and youngest player to reach 10,000 runs in women’s international cricket. Her achievements place her firmly among the most accomplished athletes of her era.

A cultural powerhouse

Off the pitch, Smriti is one of the most recognizable athletes in the world and a cultural icon in India. She has a huge following across social media platforms, and is among the most influential female athletes in the country. She is regularly a magazine cover star, having featured on Indian editions of Vogue, Forbes, Cosmopolitan and Harper’s Bazaar, and has earned a name for blending sportswear and high fashion.

Adrian Bosshard, Rado’s CEO, said: “Smriti is a dynamic modern Indian icon. Through her talent, dedication and self-confidence, she has transformed her dreams into reality. Her influence extends far beyond the cricket field, and she stands as a remarkable example to young women everywhere. At Rado we feel a strong connection to her drive and ambition, and look forward to accompanying her on the next steps of her journey.”

Rado celebrates 40 Years High-Tech Ceramic

SOME BEAUTY IS NATURAL AND ETERNAL

Dear Watch-Lovers,

From the very beginning, Rado has been driven by a powerful belief: progress  has no limits. Guided by a deep commitment to research and development in  both materials and design, the brand has continually challenged the boundaries of what is possible, opening new territories and redefining the future of  watchmaking.

In 1962, we unveiled the DiaStar Original – the world’s first scratch resistant watch crafted in Hardmetal – and it created a sensation. Our mission was clear: to give the world a timepiece of lasting beauty, with unmistakable design, ultra-brilliant lustre, and enduring accuracy. That first bold step into Hardmetal was only the beginning; it initiated a relentless commitment to innovation that continues to define Rado’s identity today.

For decades, our engineers and designers challenged and surpassed existing limits of watchmaking. Hardness alone was not enough. We envisioned a material that would combine strength with lightness, resistance with sensual tactility – a material that feels like a second skin, and that keep its brilliance for a lifetime. After years of research and development, that vision became reality in 1986 with the launch of the Integral, the world’s first watch collection crafted in high-tech ceramic.

This achievement remains one of the proudest chapters in our history. High-tech ceramic embodies everything Rado stands for: beautiful design, exceptional durability, remarkable scratch resistance, and a smooth, silky touch that adapts instantly to the wearer’s body temperature. It offers a timeless brilliance that never fades – a natural, eternal beauty that you can truly Feel. Today, high-tech ceramic has become the signature of our brand, shaping nearly all of our collections and reaffirming our status as the Master of Materials.

The Integral itself was an icon from day one. Its refined rectangular silhouette, seamless integration of case and bracelet, and harmonious curved profiles introduced a new era of ergonomic design in watchmaking. The Integral quickly became a symbol of Rado’s forward-thinking spirit and its unwavering dedication to redefining modern form.

In 2026, we proudly celebrate not only 40 years of the Integral, but four decades of mastery in high-tech ceramic. And to honour this milestone, we are delighted to present the Integral 40-Year Anniversary Edition, a tribute to the pioneering 1986 model that started it all. This anniversary edition reinterprets the signature codes of the original Integral, while elevating it with the latest innovations in Rado’s materials. It is both a celebration of heritage and a clear continuation of our journey toward the future.

This special edition stands as a reminder of what makes Rado unique: the courage to imagine, the determination to experiment, and the mastery to transform visionary ideas into timeless design. It reflects the bold, creative spirit of our founders, whose guiding words still define us today:

“If we can imagine it, we can make it. And if we can make it, we will.”

I invite you to explore the story of our four decades of high-tech ceramic legacy, and to experience the new Integral 40-Year Anniversary Edition – a watch that honours the past, celebrates the present, and inspires the future.

Warm regards,

Adrian Bosshard
Rado CEO

Kagiso Rabada – the new Rado Global Brand Ambassador

CRICKET STAR KAGISO RABADA BECOMES A RADO GLOBAL BRAND AMBASSADOR

Rado has named Kagiso Rabada, one of the world’s most successful fast bowlers who is helping nurture the next generation of cricketing talent, as a global brand ambassador.

The elite South African player is known for his pace, discipline and consistency, mirroring the Swiss watchmaker’s reputation for precision, innovation and endurance. As a global ambassador, he will feature in international campaigns and brand initiatives, connecting Rado with cricket fans worldwide over the next three years. He said: “It gives me great pleasure, humility and pride to be announcing my partnership with Rado. Timing, accuracy and performance are critical on the pitch and in watchmaking, so it’s a perfect fit, and I’m truly excited for the road ahead.”

Astonishing talent

A right arm fast bowler, Kagiso consistently bowls between 140kph and 150kph (87mph and 93mph), accelerated by a ‘snapping’ hip rotation that’s regularly likened to that of a javelin thrower. A reputation for aggressive play reflects an unusually late release – making it difficult for batsmen to predict how the ball will travel – and his ability to create steep, unpredictable bounces.

Since making his international debut in 2014 and his Test debut in 2015, he has amassed a slew of awards and topped bowler rankings. Milestones include setting the all-time world record for reaching 300 Test wickets, meaning he achieved this with the fewest deliveries – a feat which, alone, puts him in the very top echelons of the sport. To date, he has taken 340 Test wickets.

Kagiso has played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2017, winning the 2020 Purple Cap as the league’s leading wicket taker and setting a record during his time with the Delhi Capitals by taking at least one wicket in 25 consecutive matches. In 2023, after moving to the Punjab Kings, he became the fastest player in IPL history to reach 100 wickets. He is now signed to the Gujarat Titans.

More recently, he helped the South African national team – known as the ‘Proteas’ – win the 2025 International Cricket Council World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. Taking nine wickets himself, he broke the record for the most wickets taken by a bowler in a WTC final.

Rado x Cricket: a material match

Kagiso’s appointment marks the latest chapter in an ongoing relationship between Rado and cricket. Together, they form a natural harmony: a material match – two worlds where revered traditions sit alongside cutting-edge innovation, both driven by performance, timing and resilience, and united by an exacting approach to materials.

In cricket, bats made of willow and leather-covered balls lie at the heart of its traditions, modern protective equipment reveals the game’s ferocity, while playing tactics, timekeeping and endurance are a critical part of success. Similarly, Rado’s watchmaking prowess is centred around its approach to materials – for instance, its expertise in high-tech ceramic – as it produces timepieces of remarkable precision, reliability and durability.

Creating a legacy

Rado’s new relationship with Kagiso sees him join Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, a Rado Global Ambassador since 2024. The brand has also been a proud partner of the European Cricket Council since 2025. It plays a vital role in developing the sport across Europe, nurturing new talent, and inspiring the next generation of players and fans.

Kagiso is similarly committed to identifying and mentoring promising young cricketers, having founded the KG Rabada Fast Bowling Academy in 2023. It offers them specialized coaching, training and support to refine their technical and tactical game, shape their physical prowess and hone the mental discipline required to perform at a top competitive level.

Adrian Bosshard, Rado’s CEO, said: “Cricket is a sport of rhythm, poise and extraordinary precision. At Rado, we capture that very spirit in our timepieces – through material innovation, flawless design and enduring elegance. Kagiso Rabada is an icon on the pitch and an inspiring example to many athletes and fans. We’re extremely proud to count him as a global brand ambassador.”

True Square Open Heart

Rado True Square Open Heart

ELEGANCE AND GLAMOUR LIGHT UP TRUE SQUARE OPEN HEART

Rado takes to the runway again with two glamourous True Square Open Heart models. Brilliant diamonds, sparkling cut-away dials and the soft, gentle glimmer of polished white and plasma high-tech ceramic lend expressive elegance to a charismatic self-assured style. The seductive lighting of an haute-couture catwalk falls on 12 diamond indices and a scintillating, diamond-dust-like dial, adding a layer of warmth and radiance that makes the watch feel both luxurious and celebratory.

The Open Heart dial

Innovative by design, the skeleton dial isn't just visually arresting. It’s an open-hearted invitation to create an enduring emotional connection to your watch – to enjoy the living, pulsing mechanics of time.

Innovation continues

The new dials were developed using a unique electro-forming process that produces a uniform diamondpowder effect. This process also permits the Rado logo, markings and minute tracks to rise in striking relief from the base of the dial, the end result of galvanic growth. The resulting textured profile lends added distinction to an iconic design.

Two captivating styles

Crafted for essential elegance, the True Square Open Heart models merge slinky link bracelets with iconic square cases, both fashioned in Rado's signature high-tech ceramic, renowned for its lightweight comfort and scratch-resistant surface. The two models offer a choice of refined aesthetics: The white edition presents a white high-tech ceramic case, crown and bracelet and a white flange surrounding the dial. A low-relief minute track flanks rose gold-coloured hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova® highlighting and a rose gold-coloured second hand. Alternatively, in polished plasma high-tech ceramic, the sparkling dial's yellow goldcoloured hands are framed by a sleek grey flange and a minute track raised in galvanic relief.

Both versions are powered by the Rado calibre R734, a 25-jewel, 3-hand automatic movement with antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring and an impressive 80-hour power reserve. Assured reliability and Swissmade precision combine to form a trusted companion for both everyday and exceptional occasions.

Haute-couture glamour

Iconic design, innovative technology and the allure of high-fashion style place irresistible charm on the wrist of anyone with confidence and character. Worn with studied nonchalance, the True Square Open Heart becomes a fascinating addition to an effortlessly empowered elegance and haute-couture glamour.

Centrix Moonphase

Rado Centrix Moonphase Limited Edition

FEEL THE MAGIC OF THE MOONLIGHT

On the clearest of desert nights, as the silvery light of the moon shines bright against a canopy of stars, the sense of magic and mystery always feels at its most alive. Inspired by One Thousand and One Nights and its enchanted worlds of flying carpets, fantastical creatures and fearsome challenges, Rado presents a truly celestial timepiece.

The Centrix Moonphase Limited Edition has been created to channel the legendary exploits portrayed in the renowned collection of Middle Eastern folktales and to inspire wearers to embark on a quest or adventure of their own.

The darkness of the nocturnal world was, after all, when the heroine of The Arabian Nights – to give the collection’s other name – devised story after story for her king. With one tale leading to the next over 1,001 nights, the waxing and waning phases of the moon and the steady turning of the constellations in the night sky not only marked the steady passage of time but provided a particularly evocative and romantic backdrop.

Over the centuries that have passed since the collection was compiled, the myths and legends it contains have inspired countless generations, and the heavenly bodies that light up the sky continue to represent realms of fantasy and worlds of infinite possibility. For a little inspiration, there’s still no substitute to gazing up at the moon and the stars to consider how you might shape the next chapter of your life.

But now, you can enjoy a similarly evocative experience just by glancing at your wrist. The Centrix Moonphase Limited Edition’s bold, black and silver aesthetic features a combination of glittering diamonds, a moonphase complication and a dial that shimmers like stardust. More than a mere watch, it is a portal to wonder, destiny and dreams. It is, naturally, limited to 1,001 pieces.

A sense of wonder

In the dial, a curving band of 29 Top Wesselton diamonds represents the curvature of the earth – that these are no ordinary gemstones is confirmed by the presence of the word ‘Jubilé’ beneath the Rado logo. Our home planet appears in black mother-of-pearl, bringing tone-on-tone, organic elegance that frames a date window at 6 o’clock. The rest of the dial is composed of an aventurine background decorated with a diamond powder-like finish, bringing a sparkling complexity that looks like a million stars scattered across the galaxy.

Just above the horizon is where you’ll find the moonphase display. In fact, this is the first time Rado has deployed a moonphase complication on a Centrix model. Here, the moon is rendered in rhodium, matching the watch’s hour and minute hands, and reveals the full lunar cycle as it waxes and wanes each month. Each phase emerges like a hidden treasure from a tale in One Thousand and One Nights, which was collated during the Islamic Golden Age, an era associated with major advances in scientific understanding, including astronomy.

Infinite vastness

The dial is protected by a curved sapphire crystal, with a band of black metallisation around its periphery that speaks to the infinite size of the universe, though here everything is neatly contained in a polished stainless steel case. The black and silver aesthetic continues with the bracelet, featuring polished stainless steel outer links and polished black high-tech ceramic middle links.

The starry sky continues with dramatic flair on the case back, where laser-engraved star motifs cascade around the Centrix branding and are bordered by inspirational text that reads: ‘LIMITED EDITON, ONE NIGHT OUT OF 1001’. Inside, a Rado calibre R084 quartz movement purrs along, providing effortless accuracy.

Supplied in a special display box and with a limited-edition certificate, this is a watch designed for all those who have ever stopped to wonder about the bigger picture, what their legacy might be, and whether there’s room for a little fantasy on the journey.

The Centrix Moonphase Limited Edition answers that question definitively, encouraging the wearer to indulge their wildest dreams. On any evening that calls for intrigue and enchantment, this stylish, star-studded showpiece serves as inspiration to enjoy every moment, to embrace every opportunity, to reach for the stars.

Launched at the same time are three sibling Rado Centrix Moonphase models in alternative colourways. Offered in brown, black and white, these luxurious timepieces also evoke the harmonious relationship between the earth and its moon, gracefully positioned above the horizon. Each piece features a dial of delicate mother-of-pearl, reminiscent of a cloud-filled sky, adding a touch of ethereal elegance and exceptional finesse for the wearer.

Production runs for these three pieces are not limited.

True Round x Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier®

Rado True Round x Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier® Special Edition

CELEBRATING THE BOLD VISION OF A MASTER OF MODERNISM

Disruptive, captivating, iconic. Three words that characterise the work of Le Corbusier, the Swiss-born design visionary, whose unique and striking approach to architecture has been captured in a new collection of special-edition Rado timepieces – which may also be described by those same three words.

The new releases are the latest output in a long-running collaboration between Rado and Les Couleurs Suisse®. For Rado, known as the Master of Materials, Le Corbusier’s bold designs and use of modern materials and statement colours strike a chord with its own approach to watchmaking and appetite for innovation. So far, the partnership has seen the release of 12 Rado watches, which focused on deploying contribution to modern architecture – which set the tone for the then-emergent Brutalist style – with each watch referencing one of his most epic projects.

Minimalist elegance

The first watch pays tribute to La Cité Radieuse, a vast, concrete apartment building in Marseille, France, completed in 1952, and which reimagined modern urban living. This special edition features an abstract inspiration of the building’s rough-cast, board-formed concrete, known as béton-brut, laser engraved in its high-tech ceramic dial. This offers a highly intricate interpretation of the concrete’s innate texture, with each minute detail intriguingly reflecting the light.

Each watch in the series combines four shades from the Polychromie Architectural. First introduced in 1931, and extended in 1959, the palette was identified by the great designer as being eminently architectural, naturally harmonious and able to be combined in any way.

This first watch is presented in Ivory White, reference 4320B, across its monobloc high-tech ceramic case and matching crown and bracelet, telling a story of pure, minimalist elegance. It is the first time that this specific colour has been deployed in high-tech ceramic. It’s worth remembering that the colour runs right through the material – the final hue is not just a coating or finish, but acquired during sintering, when it is heated to 1,450°C. Faithfully recreating an exact shade with this complex methodology is no small thing and took Rado’s experts years to perfect. This timepiece is complemented by hands in Lucent Sky Blue (32021), Luminous Ultramarine Blue (32020) and Light Ultramarine Blue (32023).

Monochromatic power

The second watch honours the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the USA. In a region so closely associated with American history, the Center’s bold aesthetic was a stark contrast against the leafy squares and Georgian architecture of Harvard University. As the only building Le Corbusier designed in North America – and one of his last, completed in 1963 – it is part of the nation’s cultural heritage.

An abstract evocation of its moulded concrete facade features in the dial of this special edition, similarly laser engraved in high-tech ceramic. Showcased in Iron Grey – specifically 32010 from the Polychromie Architectural – the piece conveys the monochromatic power of raw concrete, a material which allowed for the more disruptive, sculptural forms so associated with Le Corbusier. The watch’s lacquered hands offer a dramatic juxtaposition against the dial, in three additional colours from his palette: Cream White (32001), Powerful Orange (4320S) and Slightly Greyed English Green (32041).

Monumental design

The final watch in the series celebrates Le Corbusier’s capacity to conceptualise ideas on a truly epic scale through his visionary plan for Chandigarh, India. Conceived as a completely new capital for Punjab, he imagined a more rational, efficient city with a geometric ‘grid’ layout, shared principles for architectural design, and nature carefully integrated – a design legacy that would shape urban planning throughout the rest of the 20th century.

This special edition includes a dial design inspired by detail from the Palace of Assembly, one of three public buildings known as the Capitol Complex, completed in 1962. An abstract inspiration of a section of this monumental building’s facade is laser engraved in the dial, within a darker palette still. Here, the high-tech ceramic monobloc case, crown and bracelet appear in Ivory Black – 4320E from the Polychromie Architectural – accompanied by lacquered hands in Powerful Orange (4320S), Emerald Green (4320G) and Olive Green (4320F).

Sensuous and scratch-proof

The reverse of all three watches features 63 digitally printed colour strips – representing the full spectrum of the Polychromie Architectural. They encircle the view of the Rado calibre R763 automatic movement within, which can be seen through a flat sapphire crystal that features the logo of Le Corbusier at its centre. The colour strips also decorate the presentation box each watch is supplied in.

On the wrist, the watch’s high-tech ceramic construction feels impossibly light and beautifully comfortable – the material quickly matches body temperature – while the material’s sensuous qualities are magnetically alluring. The almost scratch-proof characteristics of high-tech ceramic lend it unrivalled durability, just like Le Corbusier’s beloved concrete, while the Rado calibre R763 automatic movement’s 80-hour power reserve – and waterresistance to 5 bar (50 metres) – give it astonishing practicality.

This architecturally inspired collection, pairing the father of modernism with the watchmaking vision of Rado, Master of Materials, represents a poignant new chapter in the story of Swiss design.

Rado x Design

Creativity is the lifeblood of Rado and has long been a part of the brand’s identity. Over the years, it has been involved in more than thirty collaborations with some of the world’s most visionary artists and designers, including luminaries such as Le Corbusier. Each project serves to open Rado to new horizons. Accordingly, its passion for design shares pride of place with the brand’s unending mission to discover and develop innovative materials, and is at the core of the brand’s identity, expressed as ‘Design You Can Feel’.

About Le Corbusier

Born Charles-Édouard Jeanneret in 1887, in the Swiss watch capital La Chaux-de-Fonds, Le Corbusier adopted his famous pseudonym in 1920, reflecting his own belief in reinvention and a trend for artists at the time to be known by a single name. That spark of maverick originality runs through the full gamut of his output, which included urban planning, furniture design, painting and writing. While he also enjoyed an earlier career as a watch engraver, it is arguably his architectural legacy that cemented his reputation as a pioneer – indeed as the ’father’ of modern architecture – with many of his disruptive, captivating designs still celebrated today.

About the collaboration

Today Les Couleurs Suisse® is exclusively mandated by the Fondation Le Corbusier to license the great designer’s original palette of architectural colours, the Polychromy Architectural (www.lescouleurs.ch/en/thecolours/le-corbusier). This dynamic colour system with a total of 63 colours, developed by the father of modernism and international design and style in 1931 and 1959, is to this day considered the ultimate system for colouring architecture and interiors. As both Rado and Corbusier are considered masters of materials, it makes sense that Rado has introduced Corbusier’s colours in high-tech ceramic.

Modern Romance

RADO EMBRACES MODERN ROMANCE WITH STYLE AND INDIVIDUALITY

A sublime Rado watch created in collaboration with an avant-garde designer; the ability to customize it with different straps; and the chance to style it with a specially commissioned accessory. Rado’s Valentine’s Day gifts for 2026 offer an unprecedented opportunity to celebrate the individuality and uniqueness of a soul mate or special someone.

Bold, unconventional and uber-stylish: Rado’s collaborations with French-Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder simply exude high fashion. Her daring design language brings a playful dimension to the flagship Captain Cook range of retro-inspired classic diver’s watches, with two iconic timepieces that invite wearers to indulge their sense of creativity.

That’s because they come with a choice of bracelets and straps – including extra-long options that wrap twice around the wrist – providing wearers with numerous options to channel their aura. The ability to complement or contrast their outfit, hair, make-up or mood so effortlessly – using the EasyClip system – transforms these watches into inspired symbols of self-expression. And what’s more romantic than showcasing a loved one’s true character?

The beating heart of passion

The Captain Cook x Marina Hoermanseder Heartbeat’s mix of yellow gold tones with rainbow detailing exudes extravagance, unrestrained passion and loved-up energy. Sapphires, tsavorite, aquamarine and spinel gemstone indexes elevate the white dial, while its yellow gold-coloured second hand, featuring Marina’s signature heartbeat, unleashes extra dynamism.

On a yellow gold-coloured bracelet, featuring a clasp with a Marina Hoermanseder buckle motif, it revels in its excess. Swapped out for a double-length, black, calf leather strap, fastened by Marina’s trademark oversized buckle, it becomes a dramatic style statement. The Rado calibre R763 automatic movement – the timepiece’s beating heart – can be glimpsed through a sapphire crystal case back.

Subtle but sensual

The Captain Cook Marina Hoermanseder cuts a different vibe. It’s rose gold-coloured, and the dial contains 0.064 carat white diamond indexes. Here, subtle meets sophisticated: it’s serving sensual.

The piece comes with calf leather straps in black and two sizes of blush pink – one of which is double length, with that oversized buckle. The straps’ flat surface, matt finish and soft feel look elegantly unembellished and temptingly tactile. There’s one more key difference: its case back is made of stainless steel and features a special engraving of the designer’s trademark buckle design.

A new level of accessories

Now add a Marina Hoermanseder Silky into the mix. This silk scarf, in a white and muted colour palette, features Rado’s renowned anchor symbol and Marina’s trademark strap-and-buckle design screen-printed alongside other hand-sketched motifs. With it, Rado introduces the world of watchmaking to a new level of accessorising: the Silky can be worn on the wrist, to pair with a Rado watch, or around the neck, as a hair tie, attached to a belt or bag, and myriad other ways.

This adaptable adornment will be given as a free gift with either of the two watches (and other selected smallercase Rado watches) in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day. In addition to the choice of bracelets and straps, the Silky makes these watches the ideal gift for anyone that loves a little variety in their lives. Because fashion – like love and romance – is never static.

This year, choose an evocative and meaningful gift for your Valentine, with a watch that says how much you treasure their authenticity. Let Rado bring the romance.

Anatom Skeleton

BEAUTY IS MORE THAN SKIN DEEP

The Rado Anatom might be named for the way its sculpted form sinuously follows the outer contours of the wrist, and, after more than 40 years, it’s undoubtedly become a watchword for comfort. But, for 2026, the new Anatom Skeleton takes the range in a dramatic new direction, moving beyond surface beauty with a skeletonised interpretation that showcases its inner workings.

To put it another way, Anatom goes fully anatomical. The unrestricted view of the Rado R808 calibre automatic movement’s miniature components transforms the watch from an ergonomic style icon into a mechanical metaphor for the full complexity of the human body.

If the watch’s shape has always subtly reflected skin and musculature, now its newly visible cogs and springs, plates and bridges become a metaphor for the organs and blood vessels, bones and ligaments that make the body function.

Its beating heart on display

And it certainly feels alive. With a single glance, its beating heart is on show. And a longer look at its perfect balance of mechanical components, all moving in unison, elevates it from being a beautifully shaped accessory into a living, breathing partner for life.

This new approach to transparency retains the range’s iconic appeal while introducing astonishing new depths and layers of discoverable details. No longer hidden away, its technical finesse is confidently celebrated, and the result feels imbued with personality and emotion, with the wearer intimately connected to the intricacy of their timepiece like never before.

With this spirit of openness, the Anatom Skeleton brings the range squarely into the 21st century, a world where transparency and authenticity are considered among the most revered personality traits. It epitomises an attitude to life that says, instead of masking the features that make you who you are, own them. This is Swiss watchmaking in the era of self-worth.

Good looks and inner beauty

Despite this powerful transition, the piece has not forgotten either its roots or design credentials. This example is presented in a futuristic matt plasma aesthetic – a gorgeous grey that rocks a luxurious, almost pearlescent appearance. Its high-tech ceramic bezel matches the crown and the clasp cover, and these elements all complement a velvety grey strap in a special rubber that’s flexible, odourless and resistant to wear and tear, UV light and a range of acids and solvents. Touches of yellow gold feature judiciously across the design, adding subtle luxury.

Through a cylindrical sapphire crystal, with grey metallisation around the edges, the view of the movement is framed by a suspended white minute track featuring cast Super-Luminova® blocks as indices. But in truth, all eyes are immediately drawn to the skeletonised movement, where the colour and finish of each individual component have been carefully considered: good looks are matched by inner beauty.

A movement like a 3D maze

Anthracite-coated and yellow gold-coloured cogs and wheels, nickel- and ruthenium-coloured plates and specially designed, yellow gold-coloured skeletonised and faceted hands, filled with Super-Luminova®, create a layered effect, like a three-dimensional maze.

Extra detailing – like vertical-brushed finishing on the dial, horizontal-brushed plates and bevelled edges on the crystal – contributes to the perception of depth. In this elaborate domain, telling the time becomes a captivating, animated adventure, yet somehow the watch retains a cool elegance that’s beautifully understated.

The Anatom Skeleton represents Rado’s latest foray into the ‘Art of Skeletonisation’, following other watches throughout the entire range that have introduced skeletonised movements. As a symbol of everything that Rado, the Master of Materials, stands for today, the timepiece effortlessly encapsulates the brand’s watchmaking heritage, innovative spirit and modern mindset. And that all spells a beautifully bright future.

The Art of Connecting Worlds

RADO CELEBRATES TOGETHERNESS WITH KATRINA KAIF AND HRITHIK ROSHAN

For its new campaign, Rado brings together its two renowned global ambassadors – Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan – in a visual creation where two worlds, opposite in every way, are drawn to each other and ultimately connect. Following the success of Rado’s first collaboration with the celebrated actors, the Swiss watchmaker unveils a powerful new narrative – that of two singular paths, two contrasting energies, united by a unique and essential force: the Rado anchor, a symbol of consistency, precision, and connection.

Two Worlds Apart

The campaign explores the personal universes of Katrina and Hrithik, each shaped by their sensibilities and artistic identity. Katrina appears in an architectural landscape of curves and light: a labyrinth of airy arches draped in white and beige veils. This suspended space, a symbol of purity, elegance, and lightness, mirrors her distinctive aura. On her wrist, the shimmering Centrix Diamonds reflects both the refinement of the actress and the softness of her immaculate surroundings.

In contrast, Hrithik evolves within a raw, organic, and intense setting. Volcanic rock formations, sculpted by time, surround him and echo the depth, strength, and spirit of exploration that define his journey. He wears the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph, a timepiece crafted for adventure, its robust lines resonating with this world of energy and character.

When Opposites Meet

These two worlds seem at first to move in parallel, never touching. And yet, a subtle force irresistibly draws them toward one another. That force is the Rado anchor – more than a symbol, it is a signature. Present today on all Rado automatic watches, the anchor embodies precision, reliability, and consistency. It is the immutable point of balance that transcends time and connects worlds. In the campaign, it becomes the central element, the magnetic heart guiding Katrina and Hrithik toward a new universe: a place where differences unite, where energies complement each other, where paths align. The encounter between Katrina and Hrithik is not merely physical – it symbolizes the creation of a harmonious new environment shaped by movement, connection, and Rado’s timeless elegance.

The Art of Connecting Worlds

Through this new campaign, Rado expresses its philosophy: every watch is an invitation to explore, to feel, to forge bonds. Whether in softness or strength, lightness or robustness, delicacy or boldness, a Rado timepiece accompanies individuals on their own journeys and represents what brings them together.

About Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan

Katrina Kaif, a British-Indian actress and international icon, embodies cosmopolitan charm and modern elegance. With standout roles in Tiger 3 and Merry Christmas, she has established herself as one of the most influential figures in film and fashion.

Hrithik Roshan, one of India’s most emblematic actors, is celebrated for his intensity, versatility, and performances in films such as War and Fighter.

Through their presence and unique identities, Katrina and Hrithik embody Rado’s core values: innovation, design, and the power to bring people together across differences.

Captain Cook Hong Kong Limited Edition

Rado Captain Cook Hong Kong Limited Edition
URBAN EXHILARATION, PENTHOUSE VIBES

Created in celebration of the ultimate modern metropolis, the Captain Cook Hong Kong Limited Editon instantly captures the allure of the city’s iconic skyline. With a shadowy aesthetic, punctuated with colour, it feels like a skyscraper reflected in the jet-black waters of Hong Kong harbour at night.

And just like a skyscraper, this dramatic showpiece in matt black makes a clear declaration of confidence, charisma and success. Its monochromatic aesthetic marks a new direction for the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton, already a range that exudes rugged, sporty ambition, but now bringing a new interpretation of power and understated excess to the table.

Skyscraper credentials

One of the piece’s key features has distinct high-rise energy: the skeletonised watch’s intricate mechanics are on display, yet are subtly disguised by a black-tinted sapphire crystal. Unless you’re the wearer, with the luxury of examining its workings in detail whenever you like, glimpsing them is like getting a peek into a penthouse from a neighbouring building during golden hour, just before the light changes.

But it’s on the sapphire case back that the watch’s most overt tribute to the city’s tall buildings is found: a metallised abstraction of Hong Kong Island’s skyline, as seen from Kowloon (again, this is a pleasure reserved for the wearer). Hong Kong boasts the most skyscrapers in the world, and some of its most famous buildings – such as the Bank of China Tower and Two International Finance Centre – are instantly recognisable. Also on the reverse, an engraving reads: ‘HONG KONG EDITION, ONE OUT OF 88’. The number of limited-edition pieces was chosen as it symbolises good luck in Chinese culture.

A shared spirit of innovation

Today, Hong Kong is known for its ever-evolving, innovative spirit – while forever keeping one eye on the past. The daily interplay of modern life and ancient heritage is, in fact, a defining characteristic of the city.  In the busy harbour, traditional junks cross paths with superyachts; on land, ancient temples and colonial buildings rub shoulders with modern architecture; in everyday situations, revered cultural beliefs thrive alongside an embrace of modern science and engineering and an insatiable appetite for the digital age.

Rado’s watches similarly blend old and new with a sense of reinvention. The Captain Cook Hong Kong Limited Editon is a perfect example of this approach – and a metaphor for the pace and progress of Hong Kong itself. This is Swiss watchmaking tradition, refined over centuries, now reimagined for the 21st century, with modern materials and contemporary style.

Dive into the darkness

The timepiece’s case, crown and bracelet are in matt black high-tech ceramic, while a turning bezel – featuring an anti-fingerprint insert and markers in relief – lends tonal texture. Next, black gold indexes and hands stand out in the dial for their polished finish. The hour and minute hands are filled with black SuperLuminova® tips that glow blue, the second hand features a red tip filled with white Super-Luminova® and the Rado moving anchor symbol revolves on a synthetic ruby backplate. Against the blackness, these bursts of colour add to that skyscraper-at-night feel.

Behind, the skeletonised movement – featuring an 80-hour power reserve – is presented on nickel-coloured plates and bridges. Contained beneath that black-tinted sapphire crystal, its mechanical complexity is like a secret hidden in plain sight, with some components in subtly contrasting colours that make for extra discoverable details. On the case back, the metallised Hong Kong skyline is beautifully rendered as a minimalistic black-and-white line drawing.

This Hong Kong Limited Edition is a darkly seductive timepiece that moves the needle on the Captain Cook range, as modern luxury is expressed through the lens of cultural dynamism and architectural bravado.

That's why we say, ‘Feel it!’

High-tech ceramic was first introduced by Rado in 1986 following extensive research and development, and can only be produced under exacting conditions.

True Square Skeleton

Rado True Square Skeleton
DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF AN INTRICATE HEART

Rado is rightly renowned for its mastery of materials, cutting-edge design, and the Art of Skeletonisation. The new True Square Skeleton combines the collection’s iconic square case with 12 baguette-diamond indices framing fascinating views of the skeletonised movement. The discreet elegance of the baguettes directs the eye through cut-away apertures into the heart of the mechanism, allowing the owner to make an intimate, emotional connection with their watch.

Sophisticated, slender, and timeless, 4 of the trapezoidal baguette diamonds frame the dial at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, while 8 mark the hours. The clear, spare design enhances their shine beneath the sapphire crystal glass, antireflective on both faces. These elegant baguettes seduce with subtle, dancing reflections, lighting up the dial and drawing the eye into the heart of the movement. The dial side features a horizontal brushed finish and anthracite coating, while the reverse – easily visible through the titanium case back’s sapphire crystal – is the colour of nickel. Parallel lines divide the dial into three sections, highlighting geometric harmonies and key parts of the movement. The monobloc case and bracelet in smooth, polished black high-tech ceramic provide a splendid backdrop for the black lacquered dial, baguette diamonds and skeleton movement, all the while offering incomparable wearer comfort.

This enchanting, soft-cornered square timepiece is powered by the artfully skeletonised Rado calibre R808. This 25-jewel, 3-hand automatic movement is fitted with an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring for enhanced resistance to shock, temperature fluctuations and magnetic fields, and features a remarkable 80-hour power reserve. Testing in five different positions secures and enhances the built-in accuracy and reliability of the watch.

The new Rado True Square Skeleton reaches out to you with an open invitation to enter a world of fascinating movement. Feel the tingling, sparkling emotions rise up within you when you discover the secrets of this intricate and enchanting timekeeper. Look, listen, and feel the rhythms – the beating heart of the watch on your wrist, and with it your own racing pulse.

True Square Open Heart x Ji Chang-wook Limited Edition

A well-known, global brand such as Rado communicates with its clientele through evocative imagery and spontaneous emotion. Our campaigns are carefully crafted to reflect the best of our long-standing innovation in materials, our constant roll-out of breathtaking new watch designs and the latest cutting-edge production technics.

All of that naturally rests upon the crucial, human element provided by our ambassadors. Since becoming a Rado global brand ambassador in 2023, Ji Chang-wook has been exactly that kind of ideal, inspirational figure for us. Megastar now, in nearly the entire world, he is remarkably open, kind and unpretentious in that role and so, he has become part of the Rado family, in the most natural, flowing evolution.

Our relationship with the congenial star has grown in the past two years, through our many meetings and visits, both here in Switzerland and abroad. It was during a visit to Rado Headquarters in March 2024 that Ji Chang-wook learned about the subtleties of high-tech ceramic and that the idea of a special Ji Chang-wook version of the True Square Open Heart model came up. First, we discovered that in Korean culture, red is known for bringing good luck and protection. Then, on a special, more personal note, Ji Chang-wook told us that the ruby was also his birthstone, so we all thought it would be delightful to add twelve bright-red rubies to the timepiece to mark the hours. They are a beautiful visual complement to the Open Heart design.

The timepiece reflects the man himself, bright and radiant, deeply harmonious and with just a hint of mystery, as his large fan-base would most surely agree.

Rado has a long history of collaborating with creative individuals, to inspire a new design or a special reissue of a particular model, sometimes to underline an important anniversary or company milestone.

Every new person who joins our team brings their own special, unique qualities to the relationship chemistry. Rado is extremely proud and grateful for Ji Chang-wook’s ongoing contribution to our brand.

A FANTASY FESTIVE ADVENTURE

Rado True Square Open Heart, Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph, and Centrix Diamonds
A FANTASY FESTIVE ADVENTURE IN A HIDDEN WORLD OF WATCHMAKING

Step into the season of wonder and enchantment as Rado embarks on a magical alpine adventure. The Swiss watchmaker’s festive campaign for 2025 reveals three fantastical worlds secreted in its mountain homeland, with each dreamlike domain representing one of three specially chosen timepieces.

The journey conjures everyone’s favourite aspects of the end-of-year celebrations: the nostalgia for traditions nurtured since childhood; the delightful contradictions of cold weather, cozy meetups and warm hearts; the comforts of home and the joy of celebrating each other through gift-giving.

Rado’s adventure follows the path of a comet of magic dust that transforms everything it encounters. First, it gives life to a fairy-like figure, whose mechanical heart – in the form of a moving anchor, just like in the dial of many Rado timepieces – begins to beat. As the comet continues its journey, its powers unlock three whimsical settings that encapsulate the defining characteristics of the timepiece at its centre. As each watch ticks into life, the same enchanted fairy – guardian of these landscapes – places a Rado moving anchor into each one as a finishing touch.

Collectively, the three timepieces represent the expertise of Rado – its contemporary approach to design, its use of cutting-edge materials and its modern manifestation of Swiss watchmaking. The campaign’s evocative storytelling is also a powerful reminder of how every Rado watch encourages its wearer to ‘feel the moment’.

The dazzle of winter
A world of crystal, snow and ice forms a wintry backdrop for the True Square Open Heart. The pure white of its polished high-tech ceramic case, crown and bracelet, the diamond-like granular finish (born of a bespoke Rado fabrication technique) on its rhodium-coloured dial, and its 12 diamond indexes collectively capture the sparkle of snowflakes and the tingle of cold mountain air.

Its labyrinthine ‘Open Heart’ design – a story told by this fantasy world’s maze-like appearance – gives the wearer a clear view of the Rado calibre R734 automatic movement within. The rapidly oscillating balance wheel lends it an unmistakeable sense of life, while the piece’s rose gold-coloured hands lend it extra festive flavour. Here, the watch’s mechanical artistry and striking design become a metaphor for the warm embrace of loved
ones in a snow-covered landscape.

A cascade of golden stars
In the heart of the mountain, the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph is found within a glittering golden cavern that lights up the darkness. With an elemental feel – like a crucible where stars are forged – it’s a suitable backdrop for this beautiful timepiece that oozes contemporary style. Featuring two-tone black high-tech ceramics, with polished components contrasting against a matt case, and with rose gold-coloured embellishments, its opulent aesthetic elevates it beyond a mere sports watch to an accessory that feels perfect for the celebratory season.

Of course, when you need it to perform, it won’t let you down – its chronograph, driven by a Rado calibre R801 automatic movement and featuring a 59-hour power reserve, provides astonishing accuracy that’s just right for adventures at altitude, while its water resistance, to 30 bar (300m) provides practicality to the greatest depths. Stylish meets purposeful in a look reminiscent of a cascade of golden stars in a clear night’s sky.

The glow of seasonal spirit
Finally, enter the land of the Centrix Diamonds, a doyenne of pure elegance and extravagance. Step through a sparkling circular portal – a clear nod to the watch’s diamond-filled bezel – and enter a glittering desert world that evokes the glow of seasonal spirit.

This setting reflects the watch’s 71 Top Wesselton, VS-SI, full-cut, naturally occurring gemstones and the organic elegance of its brown mother-of-pearl dial. Set on a rose gold-coloured bracelet featuring polished brown high-tech ceramic middle links, its sense of extravagance is balanced by its bijou size. With a case diameter of just 35mm, this is a fine Swiss watch masquerading as jewellery – the ideal gift.

Together, the three timepieces and their captivating settings embody the magic, mystery and meaning of the festive season. Rado invites watch lovers everywhere to ‘Feel the moment’ and sends warm wishes to everyone, everywhere, however they celebrate.

True Square Open Heart

Rado True Square Open Heart
FESTIVE DIAMONDS & GLITTER: TWO SPARKLING TRUE SQUARE SET TO SHINE

There’s a thrill in the clear, crisp air as the season of ice and snow grows near. Rado welcomes this exciting time of year with a scintillating display of diamonds, light, and high-tech ceramic. Two festive new True Square Open Heart models make their glittering debut with sparkling diamonds and polished white or polished plasma high-tech ceramic cases and bracelets. The signature Open Heart cut-away design offers penetrating views into the heart of the watch, turning the new models into a seductive expression of iconic design, innovative tech and high-fashion glamour on the wrist.

The story of light
There’s an intriguing story behind the new watches. It’s all about light in this merry season, the way it falls on diamonds, dials and high-tech ceramic. Icy winter rays illuminate the 12 diamond hour markers and dials featuring a rhodium coloured surface that glitters and glows. Like a luminous, diamond-studded star it draws the eye through cut-away windows into the beating heart of the watch, an open invitation to an emotional connection. The same clear light takes on a soft, gentle shine as it shimmers over the surface of polished white and polished plasma high-tech ceramic cases and bracelets.

Festive glitter and sparkle
The new white True Square Open Heart features a white high-tech ceramic case, crown and bracelet and a white flange surrounding the dial. A low-relief minute track flanks rose gold-coloured hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova® highlighting, and a rose gold-coloured second hand. The yellow gold- coloured hands on the polished plasma version are circled by a grey flange and a minute track in relief. With their twelve diamond hour markers, sparkling dials and high-tech ceramic bracelets and cases, the new Open Heart models have the glittering look and feel of a festive occasion.

Swiss-made elegance
Both models are powered by the Rado calibre R734, a 25-jewel, 3-hand automatic movement with anti-magnetic NivachronTM hairspring and an 80-hour power reserve. Swiss-made precision timekeeping and exquisite high-tech ceramic comfort combine with iconic Rado design to create pure elegance on the wrist.

True to Rado’s sterling reputation for innovation, the new dials were developed with a unique electro- forming process that produces a uniform diamond-powder effect. This process also permits the Rado logo, markings and minute tracks to be raised in sharp relief from the base of the dial, the end result of galvanic growth.

As the festive season nears and excitement grows stronger, all eyes turn to the two new watches set to shine. Decked out in glittering diamonds and dials, waiting in the wings for their sparkling debut: Rado True Square Open Heart.

Centrix Diamonds

SPARKLE TO THE MAX
Sometimes, less is more – that’s when subtlety conveys sophistication. But other occasions call for something altogether more decadent, for a look that exudes pure, unapologetic confidence. And that’s exactly where the two new Centrix Diamonds timepieces come in: for those who live life like the star of their own movie; for situations where more is more.

That sensation is driven by their radiance, which comes from 60 diamonds set around the bezel – one for each minute – accompanied by an additional 11 diamond indexes in the dial itself. All 71 are Top Wesselton, VS-SI, full-cut, naturally occurring gemstones. In plain English, that means they’re in the top percentile of clarity and brilliance, with no discernible imperfections. In practical terms, it means they sparkle to the max.

Mother-of-pearl finesse
In addition, these new watches pair diamonds with mother-of-pearl dials – choose from a rich, evocative brown or a light silver finish that seems to shimmer. The careful selection of diamonds and the finesse of the mother-of-pearl – both examples of exquisite, organic perfection – speaks to the craftsmanship and refinement epitomised by Rado as Master of Materials.

Both timepieces feature rose gold-coloured cases, crowns, hands and bracelets, in a hue that strikes a decidedly contemporary tone. The bracelets are further designed to complement the dials, with middle links in high-tech ceramic in polished brown (to accompany the brown mother-of-pearl dial) or Rado’s famous plasma finish (for the light silver version).

Either option represents an elevated choice, expressing sophisticated, elegant colourways that feel in vogue and materials that offer a sense of real depth and luxury. Their high-tech ceramic components are unbelievably light, amazingly durable and scratch-resistant, and because these elements adapt so quickly to match the temperature of the wearer, the watches feel wonderfully comfortable.

Diamond extravagance, bijou size
Created for smaller wrists, with a case diameter of 35mm, the Centrix Diamonds is a beautifully crafted symbol of extravagance – the finishing touch to an outfit for more celebratory occasions or whenever th wearer feels special and just wants the world to know. Yet despite the unmistakeable presence of the gemstones, the timepiece’s bijou size means it manages to avoid looking ostentatious. Like the finest jewellery, good things come in small packages: opulence is balanced by elegance.

That careful harmony continues with the watch’s functionality. Featuring three rose gold-coloured hands, a date window at 6 o’clock, and Rado’s moving anchor symbol, positioned just below 12 o’clock, the overall impression of its timekeeping is one of focus and simplicity. The word ‘Jubilé’, which appears above the date window, is similarly understated, but confirms to anyone in the know that the precious stones are genuine diamonds.

The dial is contained beneath a curved sapphire crystal that offers exceptional clarity to its very edge, where it bonds flush with the case. The word ‘Automatic’, which appears below the Rado logo, refers to the Rado calibre R763 movement. It features an 80-hour power reserve and antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring, and has been tested in five positions, making it an ultra-dependable, accurate partner. The wearer alone gets the privilege of glimpsing the movement through the sapphire case back.

This latest member of the Centrix family will appeal to all those who have total confidence in their look, their style, their voice. But its unique conceit is that it only ever reflects back the energy of the wearer, enhancing their vibe through the craftsmanship expressed by diamond and mother-of-pearl, without ever becoming dominant. That’s why, these days, diamonds are everyone’s best friend...

With The Time Is Now, Rado invites you to mark the present with something that lives on. Because true luxury isn’t about keeping time — it’s about making it matter.

Captain Cook 39mm - Ocean Ready

Rado Captain Cook
OCEAN READY

Discover two new Rado Captain Cook models designed to channel the ocean’s most evocative colours – the perfect partners for a day at the beach club, a rooftop pool party in the city or cocktail hour on a yacht. The first gives summer holiday vibes, with a light blue-to-white dial and light blue ceramic bezel insert – a spectrum that’s a first for Rado – that will transport you back to St Barts, to that boat trip you took to the Barrier Reef or your honeymoon bungalow in the Seychelles. It’s pure cloudless skies reflecting on warm, shallow waters – a care-free escape from real life.

Its partner tells a different, though equally powerful, story. A black-to-turquoise dial and black high-tech ceramic bezel insert suggests a more adrenaline-fuelled style of oceanic adventure – of sailing in Costa Rica, deep-sea fishing in Egypt, or cold-water swimming in the Norwegian fjords. Just the sort of enigmatic colours that you might associate with life’s more profound moments.

A smaller case diameter
These intriguing colours are paired with the signature ruggedness of the Captain Cook range. Set on stainless steel cases and bracelets, both watches feel innately sporty. And with water-resistance rated to 300 metres/1000 feet, they’re also practical partners for any water-based activity, so feel free to jump right into the pool after lunch, and say yes to that jet ski trip, without a second thought.

Adding to that practicality – and another first for Rado – is the case diameter of these two timepieces, which introduce a 39mm size to the Captain Cook range, which already includes stainless steel cases at 37mm and 42mm. The new size, along with a case height of just 12mm, widens the appeal of the range to accommodate wrists of all sizes. An extra easter egg: the bracelets’ polished ‘rice grain’ stainless steel components look a little like water droplets, lending a wonderful sense of fluidity.

Accessories with meaning
Inspired by the vintage Rado Captain Cook, introduced in 1962, the functionality of the timepiece is deliberately single-minded, with the automatic movement telling the time and date only. It displays three bold hands and equally sturdy indexes, all inlaid with Super-LumiNova® for unmistakeable visibility in all conditions – highly reflective in white in sunlight, they appear blue when you’re in deeper, darker waters.

Accuracy is essential for any kind of watery exploits, and that’s assured with the Rado calibre R763 movement, which features an 80-hour power reserve and an antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring for enhanced reliability. The turning bezel, which measures elapsed time, is also super useful in everyday life: in the black/turquoise model bezel markings are also in white/blue Super-LumiNova®, whereas in the light blue timepiece they appear in metallised silver. Those ceramic bezel inserts are a sophisticated detail that showcases one of the Master of Materials’ trademark touches.

Wearing either of these timepieces means a mere glance at your wrist at the beach club or on board a yacht will spark conversations with fellow ocean aficionados about your past experiences on the water, or perhaps inspire tomorrow’s aqua-based adventures. But – just as important – you can also simply admire them for colourways that bring to mind the natural beauty of the ocean.

Erik Hayser - Newest Friend of the Brand

Rado introduces Mexican actor Erik Hayser as Friend of the Brand
Rado, the Swiss watch brand known around the world for its design innovation and its mastery of materials, has announced that Erik Hayser is its newest Friend of the Brand. The celebrated Mexican actor has become a cultural icon in his home country and is recognised for his talent, depth, and commitment to meaningful storytelling. His own values – authenticity, elegance, and creative character – align perfectly with Rado’s and the brand knows that he will contribute to its growing presence in the Mexican market.

Erik Hayser is not only an actor of transcendent depth but also a producer and screenwriter who has established himself as a prominent figure in the Latin American entertainment industry. Renowned for his ability to portray complex and diverse roles, Erik Hayser has appeared in numerous national and international productions. His breakout role in Netflix’s original series Ingobernable, in which he played President Diego Nava, proved to be a turning point in his career, bringing him global recognition and reaffirming the strength of Mexican talent on major streaming platforms. His international acclaim was further enhanced by the series, Accidente, which remained in the global Top 10 list for eight consecutive weeks. His current project, Ahora que no estás, has distinguished itself as one of the most-watched projects on Amazon Prime Video in Mexico and the reaction to Erik’s starring role as young widower, Javi, not only confirms his popularity but also underscores his impact on the national entertainment industry.

Erik Hayser, who has earned a reputation as one of the most versatile and respected voices among Mexico’s new generation of creative talent, is excited by his collaboration with Rado. A serious watch aficionado, he says, “The brand has always stood out for its willingness to take risks and innovate, and I strongly relate to that. They’re betting not only on what’s in style today, but also on what will be worn in the future. In many ways, Rado and I mirror each other.”

Rado’s CEO Adrian Bosshard echoes his sentiment, saying, “With Erik, we have found a true kindred spirit. He is fully committed to professional excellence and always embraces new challenges. His creative vision and refined sense of style make him a natural ally for our brand, and we are thrilled to collaborate with someone who shares our passion for excellence and innovation.”

Erik Hayser is known for his compelling screen presence and his nuanced performances, but he also has a lifelong passion for tennis and says, “Rado’s watches alone make this a fantastic partnership but the fact that they have sponsored the sport that I love for 40 years makes it even better!”

The entire Rado team is thrilled to be associated with this dynamic actor and proud to see the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph on his wrist.

PLASMA HIGH-TECH CERAMIC

Plasma high-tech ceramic: it’s a kind of magic
Rado first introduced high-tech ceramic in 1986 and it soon established itself as the brand’s signature material. It’s not surprising. Its durability, hardness, scratch resistance, and light weight were irresistible to watch aficionados, who were dazzled by its sensuous feel and its unmatched comfort and wearability.

Rado takes the finished white ceramic components and subjects them to plasma treatment, during which the molecular composition of the ceramic is changed by gases activated by a plasma discharge of 20,000o C – three times the temperature of the surface of the sun – in a specially-designed oven. This plasma carburising process changes the chemical composition of the material but it does not alter the structure. Accordingly it has no effect on the properties of the ceramic, which maintains the same hardness, scratch-resistance, lightness and hypoallergenic benefits as Rado’s other high-tech ceramic colours.

When you first come into contact with a Rado plasma high-tech ceramic watch, you’ll think your senses are playing tricks on you: in spite of its resolutely metallic appearance and texture, the material has no metal content whatsoever. And it will not fade over time, which means that when you pass it on to future generations, it will have exactly the same allure as it did the day you first saw it on your own wrist. It really is a kind of magic.

Rado CEO Adrian Bosshard is passionate about high-tech ceramic plasma’s important role in the brand’s product portfolio. He says, “None of us at Rado ever get tired of talking about plasma high-tech ceramic. Scientists are fascinated by the process. Watch enthusiasts love the look and the comfort of this noble material. And everyone is amazed to learn that it contains no metal. It really is a perfect expression of our material innovation, our pioneering spirit and our commitment to extraordinary design.

Clearly, Rado is thrilled with its high-tech ceramic plasma story and as Adrian Bosshard says, the brand is passionate about sharing more in-depth information with watch enthusiasts around the world. Here’s a link that will take you straight to a booklet about our most compelling materials. Appropriately, it’s called “It Feels Like Nothing Else.”

The importance of plasma high-tech ceramic to Rado is underscored beautifully by a range of watches that feature the material. They represent the brand’s most popular watch families and have their own distinct personalities, but they share another important bit of Rado DNA: a case or key components crafted from the plasma high-tech ceramic you’ve just met.

The Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph, with its 43 mm monobloc plasma high tech ceramic case, is at once sporty and sophisticated. The watch, which is truly a perfect companion in any environment, is powered by the calibre R801, an automatic chronograph movement developed for uncompromising reliability. Engineered with 37 jewels and regulated in five positions, it ensures precise timekeeping under the most demanding conditions.

Since its debut in 1983, the Anatom has proven that radical design and ultimate comfort can coexist perfectly. Its signature feature is the cylindrical metallised sapphire crystal with bevelled edges on both faces, which in this version, extends seamlessly into the plasma high-tech ceramic bracelet, creating a smooth, continuous form that merges the case and bracelet into a unified, cohesive shape. Beating at its heart, and on bold display through the sapphire crystal case back, is the automatic R766 calibre.

The True Square Skeleton unites complex high-tech materials and ultra fine craftsmanship. The matt plasma high-tech ceramic case, crown and bracelet, combined with an R808 skeleton movement, which offers an 80-hour power reserve, makes its aesthetic appeal nearly as alluring as its performance. Crowned by a flat sapphire crystal, the dial is an eye-catching symphony of layered craftsmanship.

Rado’s legacy is defined by the inextricable link between two pillars, design excellence and material mastery. The True Round Open Heart is a perfect blend of both. This remarkable timepiece showcases a captivating open heart design, allowing you to admire the detailed, intricate movements of the automatic Rado calibre R734, a pure expression of the art of watchmaking. Fitted with an antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring, it delivers a power reserve of 80 hours.

The Centrix Diamonds is a classic Rado watch that combines stunning design and technical sophistication. Its rounded sapphire crystal extends all the way to the edge, and its curved case blends seamlessly with the curved edge of the crystal. The aesthetic allure of this iconic timepiece is further complemented with adjusted case lugs and a bracelet made of polished rose-gold-coloured PVD-coated stainless steel with plasma high-tech ceramic middle links.

Plasma high-tech ceramic has earned an important place in Rado’s impressive pantheon of cutting-edge materials. Like each brand’s innovative ceramic, it is smooth to the touch and kind to the skin. It’s durable and scratch-resistant. Thanks to its light weight, it offers wonderful wearer comfort. But it also has an impish sense of humour: it likes playing tricks on your senses. And that is, indeed, a special kind of magic.

Rado Celebrates 40 Years of Tennis

Rado celebrates 40 Years of Tennis
A special jubilee honoured with style and stars in Gstaad
Amidst the majestic Swiss Alps, the watch brand Rado celebrated its 40th anniversary as a partner of international tennis in the very location where this success story started in 1985: Gstaad.

A weekend between mountain panoramas and VIP icons
From 18th to 20th of July, prominent guests from the worlds of sport, fashion, film and society gathered in the traditional Swiss Open Gstaad for an immersive and unforgettable Rado experience. Swiss tennis legend Martina Hingis, Czech tennis player, Olympic champion, Grand Slam winner and Rado Brand Ambassador Barbora Krejčíková, Austrian fashion designer Marina Hoermanseder, Mexican actor couple Erik Hayser & Fernanda Castillo, Canadian Olympian pole vault star Alysha Newman, international journalists and numerous influencers from Europe and North America were part of the journey.

The guests had the opportunity to dive into the behind the scenes of the Swiss Open Gstaad and watch tennis matches from the Rado VIP Lounge. A special highlight was the exclusive Vintage Tennis Dinner on Saturday evening, up in the Swiss mountains on the Wasserngrat – 1,920 meters above sea level – a destination only accessible by chairlift. The dinner was hosted by former tennis professional Marco Chiudinelli and reserved a lot of surprises to the guests: the unveil of the new Rado Captain Cook x Tennis Limited Edition, a tennis exhibition between Martina Hingis and Barbora Krejčíková – a charming duel that celebrated four decades of tennis passion. German e-violinist Laura Zimmermann and DJ Lyam Cruz provided goosebump-inducing musical moments, transforming the alpine setting into an atmospheric open-air stage.

As a former professional athlete and self-confessed tennis fan, Rado CEO Adrian Bosshard knows only too well how much discipline and passion are behind every top performance and every watch. “Rado and professional tennis share the same values – each timepiece and every game tells a story of strategy, precision and emotion. This 40-year relationship between Rado and tennis is without a doubt something to celebrate, but we’re not finished. We can’t wait to help write the next chapter of this incredible collaboration. As both tennis and watchmaking continue to evolve, I’m convinced the best is yet to come.”

From Gstaad to the world
The partnership between Rado and tennis began in 1985 with the sponsorship of the Swiss Open championship in Gstaad - and quickly developed into an international success story. Over the past four decades, Rado has remained a dedicated partner to the sport, serving as Official Timekeeper at several major ATP and WTA tournaments including the Abierto Mexicano in Acapulco, Los Cabos Open, BMW Open in Munich, Erste Bank Open Vienna, Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, Swiss Indoors Basel, and EFG Swiss Open Gstaad.

With distinctive "Corner Clocks", support for world-class competitions and partnerships with top players such as Barbora Krejčíková, Ash Barty and Cameron Norrie, as well as the YoungStars program to promote young tennis talent, Rado has shaped the sport of tennis over forty years - with a spirit of innovation, consistency and genuine passion.

With this anniversary celebration, Rado is once again underlining its close connection to the sport of tennis, which is characterised by precision, innovation and timeless style - just like the Rado watches.

Anatom - Living Colours

LIVING COLOURS WELCOME THE SUMMER IN STYLE
What is it about the Rado Anatom? First of all, there’s that design. When the first one was launched in 1983, it was well ahead of its time but loyal to Rado’s historical aesthetic appeal. Forty years later, the updated, upgraded Anatom also delivered a striking contemporary flair that sparked an enthusiastic global response. A quick look will tell you why. Like the watch that inspired them, those models are immediately recognizable across a crowded room. They have Rado’s legendary visual allure to be sure, but there has always been so much more to the Anatom story than first meets the eye. And now, just in time for summer, Rado has created three stunningly colourful interpretations of one of its most storied timepieces.

Like every Rado Anatom watch, these new models deliver unparalleled wearer comfort, thanks to their ergonomic design that delivers effortless harmony with the human wrist. These appealing contours also mean that along with wearability, the Anatoms have a visual flow that distinguishes them from every other wristwatch in the world. Design, of course, shares centre stage with material technology at Rado and the Anatom watches are delivered in a case crafted from the brand’s latest high-tech ceramic. This is complemented by an edge-to-edge sapphire crystal that is perfectly shaped to follow the anatomical lines that earned the watch’s unusual name.

The new Rado Anatom models have been created in vivid colours perfectly suited to the summer sun. Of course, they’ll also brighten every wearer’s mood throughout the rest of the year. The colours take their inspiration from some of our favourite fruits: lemon yellow, grapefruit red or lime green. Let’s meet the watches.

Each of the new Rado Anatom models features a polished black high-tech ceramic bezel, along with a cylindrical sapphire crystal with bevels. It is metallized in black and has anti-reflective coating on the inside. The case middle is made of sandblasted black PVD coated stainless steel. The stainless steel case back is fitted with a sapphire crystal.

At the heart of these Rado Anatom watches is a Rado calibre R766 mechanical movement with an antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring. The movement is adjusted in five positions and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours. The much-loved moving Rado anchor symbol on a black background is placed below the 12 o’clock hour marker. Each model has a date window at the 6 o’clock position and rhodium coloured hands coated with white Super-Lumi-Nova®. They are water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).

Dazzling in the colour of a bright midday sun, the lemon-yellow model has a black to yellow gradient dial. It is presented on a yellow strap made of fluorine rubber (FKM). This summery fashion statement will add a certain solar flare wherever it is worn, whether in the office, a restaurant, or a sandy beach.

Green is associated with well-kept summer lawns and the trees, whose renewed foliage each spring and summer is a perfect expression of our optimism and a reason for hope. The lime-green Anatom stands out with its black to lime green gradient dial and its matching rubber strap.

What a pleasure it is to enjoy an outdoor breakfast in the morning summer sun. A highlight is always cutting a grapefruit in half to expose the unique red of the juicy fruit inside. Rado has captured that colour in the Anatom that features a black to grapefruit red gradient dial and the comfortable, durable rubber strap in a perfectly matching red hue.

Each of the straps – whether in yellow, green, or red – is flexible, odourless and remarkably resistant to wear and tear, UV radiation and a wide range of acids and solvents. Thanks to this brilliant bold strap combined with the high-tech ceramic bezel and sapphire crystal, the watch is as durable as it is beautiful and comfortable.

The three colourful new members of the growing Anatom family exemplify at once Rado’s mastery of materials and its ergonomic expertise. In bright, living colours, they are set to attract a whole new generation of watch lovers to one of the world’s most distinctive timepieces.

Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph

Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph
RUGGED, ATHLETIC AND DEVASTATINGLY GOOD LOOKING

Outdoorsy and metropolitan? Sporty yet sophisticated? The new Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph attains the unattainable...

For one, that’s because it might just be the most dynamic example of the entire Captain Cook family of timepieces, already well known for its rugged good looks and utilitarian functionality, thanks to its chronograph. For anyone that needs precision timing on or under the water, on the slopes or at the
racetrack, we got you.

But it’s also undeniably stylish, presented here in two contemporary colourways that help it flex from the great outdoors to life in the big city. For 2025, choose from black and rose gold, like the urban skyline at night, or plasma and dark green – a first for the Captain Cook series – that captures the look and feel of the concrete jungle.

Perfect balance
And that’s the point of the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph – a performance watch that can be relied upon in the wildest of locations, yet which also looks great with workwear, in social situations and even during more fashion-oriented occasions, because it doesn’t look overly sporty. Almost impossibly, it effortlessly bridges different worlds.

Its athletic credentials emerge through the choice of materials. Both watches represent the first time a high-tech ceramic monobloc case has been deployed for Captain Cook chronographs. And with high-tech ceramic across bezel insert and bracelet, it’s unbelievably lightweight – wearing it feels like second nature – as well as being incredibly scratch resistant. Its box-shaped sapphire crystal is similarly impervious to scratches and the case is water resistant to 30 bar, featuring a screw-down crown and two screw-down chronograph pushers to prevent water ingress. So it’s great in the field, capable in almost any scenario.

Contemporary opulence
Beyond its sporting kudos, discover fashionable aesthetics. The black and rose gold-coloured Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph boasts ‘two-tone’ black ceramics: a polished high-tech ceramic bezel insert and polished middle bracelet links contrast with a matt high-tech ceramic case and
matt outer bracelet links. Along with a black dial, it’s all beautifully shadowy. Rose gold-coloured embellishments – across bezel, hands, indexes, pushers and crown – bring contemporary style.

Its plasma high-tech ceramic sibling also features dual finishes on the bracelet, with polished plasma middle links flanked by matt components. Add in the stainless steel bezel, crown and pushers and the rhodium-coloured hands and indices, and it offers up an intriguing mix of metallic finishes. But it’s the
bezel’s ceramic insert, in a dark, sumptuous green, with a polished finish, and a dial in a matching shade, that signals pure opulence.

Less is more
In outdoor pursuits, at-a-glance accuracy is essential, and that comes easy with substantial hour and minute hands that point to equally purposeful indexes – all of which are finished with white Super-LumiNova®. The second, minute and hour chronograph hands all sport a painted red tip for easy identification.

Overall, the dial feels supremely well balanced, with its three subdials lending an unmistakeable sense of energy – a chrono hour counter is a new addition to Captain Cook chronographs. Rado’s moving anchor symbol is at 12 o’clock, rotating on a synthetic ruby backplate, and there’s a trapezoidal date window at 6 o’clock shaped to match the indexes. Around the edge runs a subtle minute track, surrounded by a turning bezel with deliberately spartan engraved markings.

Collectively, it’s all a brilliant demonstration of ‘less is more’ – which helps explain why the piece never feels too energetic. This approach also applies to the Rado calibre R801 automatic movement, featuring a 59-hour power reserve, whose svelte dimensions mean the height of the case, including the crystal, measures just 16.2mm – making it easy to accessorise an outfit.

Balancing sporty with stylish is a claim made frequently in watchmaking, but the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Chronograph irrefutably owns both characteristics – without compromising on either.

Why High-Tech Ceramic? – Because it feels like nothing else...
This is exactly what Rado high-tech ceramic is all about. It's why we say, "Feel it." The ancient origins of its base material render its durability almost inevitable, but it is indeed a great testimonial to the know-how and experience of the "Master of Materials" that it has proven to be true. High-tech ceramic is a beautifully light substance, and one that is also magnificently scratch-resistant.

In itself, all that might be enough qualities to love, in one exceptional material, but surprisingly, it doesn't stop there. Not only is ceramic durable and impervious to almost everything, it has a rare silkiness to the touch that makes for exquisite comfort against the skin. Place it over a human wrist — fine, large, gentle or rugged, and it feels like it was made to be there — since forever. This is of course particularly true for timepieces making use of ceramic elements also in their bracelet, where the sensory experience becomes total and absolutely unforgettable.

About High-Tech Ceramic
Chronologically-speaking, high-tech ceramic was first introduced by Rado in 1986. Its sensuous feel, durability, scratch resistance and surprising light weight quickly conquered the hearts of watch enthusiasts the world over. Though related in some respects to more common forms of ceramics we all know, high-tech ceramic is truly a product of advanced science. Under highly exacting conditions, extremely pure and finely calibrated powders of zirconium oxide with perfectly uniform grain sizes, are shaped into a particular form then baked at high temperature to create an object or a watch case of the desired dimensions and properties. New methods developed by Rado involve the use of a plastic carrier medium mixed with the mineral powders, to allow injection into precision moulds at pressures around 1000 bar. Once cooled, the pieces are removed from their parent mould and the carrier agent dissolved in a standard chemical solvent process, prior to a final sintering phase at 1,450°C. This precisely controlled sintering is what makes possible the extraordinary level of full density and hardness of high-tech ceramic, over regular ceramic. The procedure is true rocket-science territory, as the dimensions of the first moulded elements shrink during sintering; the particles tighten up as porosity disappears and precise calculations must take into account this important change of around 25% in the dimensions. The reward is a case that now stands at 1,250 on the Vickers scale and is ready for final diamond-tool machining and finishing, into an impressive Rado timepiece.

It’s a view into our world, where progress and design go hand in hand. This year Rado celebrates forty years of shared values with tennis, reflecting the strategy, complexity and precision in every move. Our contemporary designs, crafted in high-tech ceramic, embody the resilience, individuality, and excellence seen in the game’s top athletes.

Alysha Newman - Friend of the Brand

Rado introduces Canadian Olympian Alysha Newman as Friend of the Brand
Rado, the Swiss watch brand known worldwide for its design excellence and mastery of materials, has announced that Alysha Newman is its newest Friend of the Brand. The Canadian pole vault star, whose accomplishments include an Olympic medal and a Commonwealth Games Championship, will be the face of a new campaign in her home country.

The multi-media campaign is being rolled out across print, digital, out-of-home (OOH), and in-store touchpoints, including Rado’s retail network throughout Canada. At the heart of the campaign is a striking Rado Centrix Open Heart watch in white high-tech ceramic and diamonds.

Rado’s CEO Adrian Bosshard is excited about the new partnership. He says, “What Alysha has already achieved, both in and out of sport, is incredible and her successes are a testament to her passion, perseverance and pursuit of perfection. These qualities align seamlessly with our own core values of innovation, strength and precision. We are looking forward to sharing her continuing journey as she pushes herself to – literally – even greater heights.”

Alysha Newman shares the CEO’s enthusiasm and had a chance to visit the brand’s headquarters in Switzerland in 2024 where she met the team and made a motivational presentation. She says, "Partnering with Rado has been such an incredible experience. I’ve always admired its commitment to innovation and timeless style, and to now be part of the Rado family feels truly special. Their belief in me — both on and off the field — means so much, and I’m proud to represent a brand that shares my passion for pushing boundaries and striving for excellence."

Alysha is more than a celebrated Canadian pole vaulter. She is an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, a model, and an actress who embodies the precision, resilience, and timeless spirit that define Rado.

Her journey mirrors the Swiss brand’s commitment to innovation, performance, and timeless design and as she prepares for a monumental season ahead, Rado is committed to standing beside her every step of the way. Alysha’s year will be focused not only on excelling at the sport she loves but also on expanding her presence in the worlds of business, fashion and film.

Alysha Newman serves as the Chief Talent Officer and a founding partner of Hyper Talent, an AI-powered talent management platform that supports athletes and creators in building sustainable, forward-thinking careers. She has also been spearheading the development of the Bolton High Performance Athletics Centre, a world-class facility dedicated to training the next generation of elite athletes. Through her forthcoming nonprofit, The Newman Foundation, Alysha is committed to providing mentorship, scholarships, and access to high-performance training for underserved youth across Canada and beyond.

Rado is proud of its association with this brilliant woman and is thrilled to see its striking Rado Centrix Open Heart on the wrist of a role model who inspires so many people throughout Canada and around the world.

LaCoupole - Sculpted Poise

Rado LaCoupole
SCULPTED POISE

With a name inspired by the curvaceous domes of Renaissance architecture, the new Rado LaCoupole is the epitome of design elegance, with a distinctive, flowing aesthetic that positions it not just as a watch, but a piece of jewellery.

This latest update to the iconic LaCoupole family of timepieces, first launched in 1987, has been reimagined to truly exemplify the Italianate cupolas referenced by its name, thanks to an impressive edge-to-edge spherical-form sapphire crystal that is undoubtedly its standout feature. Like a section cut from a glass ball, the crystal curves in two orientations, as well as inside and out. In addition to being technically difficult to make, the way it covers the full face of the watch lends the piece a distinctly sculptural quality, elevating a functional component to a dramatic design statement.

Sinuous, seamless beauty
That’s all the more apparent with the metallised finish around the edge of the crystal. It is accomplished thanks to a complicated process involving vaporised metal and photolithography, but what you need to know is that it results in a particularly alluring look, guaranteed to stir curiosity.

The case of the new Rado LaCoupole has been upgraded, from stainless steel to high-tech ceramic, and the bracelet is now also constructed from high-tech ceramic components, paired with decorative steel elements. The way the case seems to float within the bracelet adds to the structural feel of the piece, like the columns that support the domes and arches of Italy’s greatest buildings.

In the dial, lacquer-filled wave markings radiate out from the centre, drawing the eye to 11 diamond indexes (a date window at 6 o’clock takes up the twelfth position). The precious status of these gemstones is confirmed by the word ‘jubilé’, printed above the date window, while a faceted crown mimics the dial markings. With a case diameter of 31mm, this is a watch for smaller wrists and all those who appreciate watchmaking as jewellery.

Dress-it-up opulence
There are four expressions of this work of art. First, a classic combination of black and silver, with polished black high-tech ceramic complemented by metallised bands of black and silver, polished stainless steel decorative elements and rhodium-coloured hands. Next, the sleek grey of Rado’s polished plasma hightech ceramic is paired with metallised plasma and rose gold, with further matching embellishments.

Then there’s a polished brown variant, with rich brown and rose gold metallisation, and a gleaming white option featuring a standout rose gold metallised band. Both have additional rose gold decorative elements.

Each variant is opulent in its own way – it all depends on how you like to complement or contrast your skin tone, your hair, your outfit... But its beauty is more than skin-deep. The Rado LaCoupole is also unbelievably lightweight and comfortable, courtesy of its high-tech ceramic construction. It’s also a remarkably scratch-resistant material – as is its sapphire crystal. Inside, it is powered by a Rado calibre R218 quartz PreciDrive movement, offering astounding accuracy, precise to +/- 10 seconds in every year.

This beautiful collection blends Rado heritage with modern innovations that symbolise the art of 21st-century Swiss watchmaking, just as you should expect from the Master of Materials.

Captain Cook Over-Pole

Rado Captain Cook Over-Pole
MAKE YOUR MARK -- AT EVERY DESTINATION

For the true explorer, restlessness is just a way of life. The quest for discovery is a reflex, as natural and energising as plain breathing. Highly creative people share that drive, watch designers not least among that adventurous type. When Rado decided to reinvent its iconic and highly successful 1962 Over-Pole version of the Captain Cook model in 2022, they placed their R862 Worldtimer manual-winding movement in that new model, a top-shelf calibre with an impressive 80 hours of power reserve, three hands, a date window at three o’clock, and 17 jewels. It was a winning decision, one of those key choices made when a popular model is revisited with the latest features. The well-known “Master of Materials” Rado has regularly updated earlier iconic models with the latest technology, materials and production technics, to great success.

The Over-Pole now makes another triumphant return, in a stunning, new 2025 version that retains all the previous favourite features, like the R862 calibre, housed inside a bolder, larger 39-mm case, for this repeat limited edition, again of just 1962 units. The manual movement has all the charm and exceptional precision of an automatic, but thanks to the absence of a counterweight winder, it can be placed inside a much thinner case. The new Captain Cook Over-Pole is a trim 10.9 mm in height, as sleek as it is handsome, thanks to the movement’s Côtes-de-Genève surface finishing, annealed blue screws and goldcoloured markings, visible through a second sapphire glass in the case back, specially engraved with the sequence number in the edition.

The watch face is as breathtaking as ever. The bidirectional rotatable bezel, in black high-tech ceramic, stands in beautiful contrast to the yellow gold-coloured PVD-finished case and matching crown. Major city names are permanently laser-engraved and lacquered into the high-tech ceramic to mark the various time zones, selected by rotating the bezel. Inside this ring, the signature Captain Cook box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces, protects the silver sunray-motif dial, hands and the curved, yellow gold-coloured indexes. Vintage-white Super-LumiNova® with light-green luminescent dots mark the 24-hour time scale, next to contrasting black world time information and matching Rado and Over-Pole logos. The hour and minute hands are unmistakably clear, thanks to additional vintage-white SuperLumiNova® treatment, and the customary Rado moving anchor symbol is beautifully finished in a yellow gold colour, against a ruby background.

To allow for greatest versatility in every explorer’s adventure and multi-faceted lifestyle, the new Over-Pole comes with both a stylish, polished and brushed rice-grain-type yellow gold-coloured PVD-coated stainless-steel bracelet with a triple-fold clasp, and a rugged, sporty, brown vintage-style leather strap with a polished yellow gold-coloured pin buckle. A practical leather pouch is included to store the watch and spare bracelet, along with an official limited edition certificate.

Travel wide, dream big, coordinate your international team of explorers to new summits. The new Captain Cook Over-Pole is your reliable ally. The latest iteration of the model is the natural evolution of this true explorer’s essential, a stepping stone to undeniable present-day excellence.

Rado Austria Signs Para-tennis Pro Nico Langmann

Rado and Tennis
