DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan

The Time Is Now
It is with particular pride that we introduce the Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan. With this watch, we gave Tej a special challenge. We asked him to interpret a globally iconic Rado timepiece which, since causing a sensation when it was released more than 60 years ago, has remained a favourite among brand enthusiasts and fans of incredible design. The DiaStar Original has always been appreciated for its strong personality and we were fascinated by the idea of having Tej Chauhan putting his own unique stamp on the watch while retaining its essence. The result is truly amazing.

The first thing you’ll notice with the Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan is the unmistakable DiaStar Original bezel shape in Ceramos™. Coated in yellow-gold coloured PVD, it boldly announces the presence of the watch and stands in pleasing contrast to the light grey pillow-shaped rubber strap. Just as appealing is the matt black dial with its distinctive silver and blue printed minute track. The combination of all the individual elements together with Tej’s own font for the day/date make for a stunning timepiece that stands out : a result that only could have come from a designer with a boundless imagination and a love for the Rado brand.

In short, Tej Chauhan has designed a wristwatch with a design that perfectly respects the Rado DiaStar Original legacy, while expanding its aesthetic codes and introducing an extraordinary watch to existing and new customers. The Rado DiaStar Original x Tej Chauhan reflects a futuristic vision but is also an affectionate nod to Rado’s past and its own legacy of design innovation.

True Square Skeleton

SUPERHERO SWAGGER
The new Rado True Square Skeleton is rocking a rugged masculinity with its matt finish, sandblasted detailing and completely exposed movement. In its single-minded respect for materials and the intricate mechanics of timekeeping, it is almost completely without pretence. No cosmetic touches or unnecessary embellishments here, thank you.

This update to the True Square family is showcased in a trio of new timepieces. At its centre, a watch with a matt plasma high-tech ceramic case, crown and bracelet. This is the first time Rado has deployed a matt plasma finish on the True Square line. Its gun-metal vibes convey a self-conscious, confident simplicity. And that pared-back, elemental look is complemented by the movement’s horizontal brushed decoration and anthracite coating, along with sandblasting across the hands, dial background and case back. This new generation also features bolder, blunter hands than before – a subtle but sturdy update.

It is partnered by a matt-black sibling, similarly constructed from high-tech ceramic – across case, crown and bracelet – plus the same anthracite and sandblasted detailing. This one feels like it’s straight out of Gotham City, exuding a sense of raw, brooding power in the sheer darkness of its appearance.

Pure, unadulterated forms
The third in the line-up is also a matt black variant in high-tech ceramic, but with a few differences. The most obvious is its black rubber strap, which gives it an athletic edge. Up close, it has a few more considered aesthetic details, like a horizontal Côtes de Genève finish to the movement, and polished, rather than sandblasted, hands, but it’s hardly a delicate wallflower: we’re still talking superhero swagger.

Take a minute to remind yourself what is so special about high-tech ceramic. Created from the purest, most finely calibrated substances, then fired at remarkably high temperatures, it becomes an unbelievably hard-wearing, scratch-resistant material. It will never fade, because colour is evenly distributed within the material itself. And to make plasma high-tech ceramic, the ceramic elements are enriched with carbon, which during firing gives the finished product a natural metallic sheen.

In short, Rado high-tech ceramic watches are astonishingly pure celebrations of the material they are crafted from – which fits right into this story of unadulterated form. The Rado True Square Skeleton’s indexes tell a similar tale – hewn from single blocks of Super-LumiNova®, rather than mere layers or strips, they glorify in its innate luminosity, offering exceptional clarity after dark. All as you’d expect from the Master of Materials.

Rado unleashed
From form, to function: and there’s plenty to hold the attention with this skeletonised movement. With nothing hidden from view, the mechanics of the Rado calibre R808 automatic movement are there to be revered for the intricate harmony of its springs, cogs, wheels and balances. With an 80-hour power reserve, it’s also a lesson in endurance. Framed by the three windows of the jet-black dial background, this is less a movement than an engine.

Let’s make no bones about it. The Rado True Square Skeleton in a matt finish brings an unusually dynamic presence to the brand’s signature squareness. With these attributes, and a case diameter of 38mm, you’d be forgiven for thinking these timepieces are clearly targeted at men. In fact, Rado True Square watches are routinely worn by anyone, and these are no different, destined to be admired by all those who appreciate their magnetic charisma. (And after all, not all superheroes are men.) This is the raw power of Rado: deconstructed and unleashed.

BMW Open - Second Set

Second Set: Rado named Official Timekeeper and Partner of the BMW Open
Following its successful debut last year, the Swiss watch brand Rado is once again the Official Timekeeper of the BMW Open. The men’s tennis tournament, ranked in 2025 for the first time as an ATP 500 event, takes place 12 - 20 April at the renowned Munich Tennis Club, MTTC Iphitos, which has a new Center Court. Rado has been actively involved in tennis for 40 years, and is an experienced partner to this clay court tournament, which offers visitors exceptional tennis at close range.
Rado CEO Adrian Bosshard, himself a dedicated tennis fan, considers the partnership with the BMW Open a perfect fit: “Tennis and Rado share a passion for precision, innovation and a relentless ambition to redefine the limits of what is possible. As the Official Timekeeper last year, we experienced the professionalism and dedication of our partners in Munich as they organized a world-class tournament. We’re excited to be a part of this wonderful event again this year, and can’t wait for the first match serves.” Rado is famous for watches made with robust materials and supports prestigious tournaments and talented young players worldwide.

The perfect watch for fans of sports and tennis
In a fitting expression of its passion for the game, Rado presents an automatic timepiece from the Captain Cook collection, complete with a striking detail recalling the sport: the tip of the second hand features a luminous highlight in the same bright yellow colour as tennis balls. This new interpretation of the Rado Captain Cook from 1962 makes a strong impression with sporty design elements like the blue and white colour-gradient dial, which is framed by a rotating bezel in polished blue high-tech ceramic, and with three interchangeable straps: a blue and white striped NATO fabric strap, a blue leather strap with decorative stitching, and a distinctive stainless steel bracelet – all are perfect complements to a sporty style, and easily exchanged thanks to the Rado EasyClip system.

Action on and off court
Tournament visitors can discover this and other watches at the Rado stand. The Swiss watchmaker also plays an active role on and off the court. Rado’s striking corner clocks deliver precision time-keeping during the matches, while fans can check the speed of their serves at the Rado Smash Corner. In addition, Rado has plans for several exciting activities involving fans: if they don’t yet have a ticket they can try their luck in the lottery on the Rado website. Anyone who already owns a Rado watch can have it engraved free of charge, and tennis fans will also have a chance to win a VIP ticket to next year’s tournament in the Rado lottery at the venue. Once again, Rado’s strong presence demonstrates its passion and commitment to tennis as a dedicated partner of the tournament.

Rado and Tennis
Rado has been actively involved in tennis since 1985, initially as the title sponsor of the Swiss Open Gstaad. During the past four decades the brand has served as the official timekeeper at prestigious tournaments including the Mexican Open, Open Parc Lyon, Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, Erste Bank Open in Vienna, and the Swiss Indoors in Basel. Rado’s commitment, however, goes beyond timekeeping: the brand’s YoungStar Program supports promising young players on their way to the top of the tennis world – some have even become superstars.

Whether on grass, clay, or hard courts, precision is essential. Rado demands the same of its watches – with innovative materials, exceptional design, and technical perfection.

Romance, Roses, Rado

Rado True Round Open Heart
ROMANCE, ROSES, RADO

Roses are red... Rado’s 2025 Valentine’s Day campaign revolves around the powerful symbolism of the rose – a universal metaphor for love.

Evocative, contemporary styled imagery portrays two variants of the Rado True Round Open Heart against a dreamlike, rose-filled background, with close-up compositions styled around flowers delicately held by the hands of a couple. The lovers’ wrists sport the watch in its black and white variants – opposites attract, after all.

The rose – its shape, colour and aroma – are, of course, imbued with centuries of romance, and the unfurling of a rosebud into full bloom is a familiar metaphor for the path of true love. But the rose may also be said to be the floral embodiment of a Rado watch. Its slow, exquisite growth brings to mind the steady passage of time. The delicacy of its petals, and their elaborate arrangement on each stem, perhaps a reference to the intricacy of the automatic watch movement. And the petals’ organic shape and innate softness an analogy for the feel of high-tech ceramic against the skin.

The beating heart of passion
The very name of the Rado True Round Open Heart – referencing the cutout dial that reveals the movement’s inner workings – suggests it’s time for romance. An open heart might be said to be a prerequisite for love: only by opening your heart to someone else will they reciprocate… Through the dial cutout, the eye is naturally drawn to the top of the dial and the watch’s pulsing balance spring. Could this represent the beating heart of passion?

In Rado’s campaign, love is clearly in the air as roses, then fingertips, are delicately caressed, before the couple’s hands are finally intertwined – the final view is of their wrists, both wearing Rado True Round Open Heart timepieces, conjoined in silhouette.

A story of devotion
As well as the symbolism of the Rado True Round Open Heart, the construction of the watch tells a story of devotion. Devotion to materials, through the organic curves of the high-tech ceramic monobloc case and bracelet – a material that’s not only unbelievably durable and scratch-resistant, but which feels like an extension of your body. And devotion to the exquisite function of the Rado calibre R734 automatic movement that you glimpsed through the cutout.

That balance spring, by the way, is constructed from antimagnetic Nivachron™ for ultimate precision, the sunray guilloche finish on the plate offers extra tantalising detail, and an 80-hour power reserve means the timepiece remains accurate even when you set it down to focus elsewhere. Both watches feature rose-gold-coloured hands and indexes, alongside the iconic Rado moving anchor, against a sunray dial and beneath a curved sapphire crystal.

All in all, the Rado True Round Open Heart is a stunning, contemporary expression of the watchmaker’s expertise and channels just the right message to convey love and desire. Which is why such a beautiful timepiece from the Master of Materials makes a delightful gift on Valentine’s Day.

Why High-Tech Ceramic? – Because it feels like nothing else…
This is exactly what Rado high-tech ceramic is all about. It's why we say, "Feel it." The ancient origins of its base material render its durability almost inevitable, but it is indeed a great testimonial to the know-how and experience of the "Master of Materials" that it has proven to be true. High-tech ceramic is a beautifully light substance, and one that is also magnificently scratch-resistant.

In itself, all that might be enough qualities to love, in one exceptional material, but surprisingly, it doesn't stop there. Not only is ceramic durable and impervious to almost everything, it has a rare silkiness to the touch that makes for exquisite comfort against the skin. Place it over a human wrist — fine, large, gentle or rugged, and it feels like it was made to be there — since forever. This is of course particularly true for timepieces making use of ceramic elements also in their bracelet, where the sensory experience becomes total and absolutely unforgettable.

About High-Tech Ceramic
Chronologically-speaking, high-tech ceramic was first introduced by Rado in 1986. Its sensuous feel, durability, scratch resistance and surprising light weight quickly conquered the hearts of watch enthusiasts the world over. Though related in some respects to more common forms of ceramics we all know, high-tech ceramic is truly a product of advanced science. Under highly exacting conditions, extremely pure and finely calibrated powders of zirconium oxide with perfectly uniform grain sizes, are shaped into a particular form then baked at high temperature to create an object or a watch case of the desired dimensions and properties. New methods developed by Rado involve the use of a plastic carrier medium mixed with the mineral powders, to allow injection into precision moulds at pressures around 1000 bar. Once cooled, the pieces are removed from their parent mould and the carrier agent dissolved in a standard chemical solvent process, prior to a final sintering phase at 1450°C. This precisely controlled sintering is what makes possible the extraordinary level of full density and hardness of High-Tech Ceramic, over regular ceramic. The procedure is true rocket science territory, as the dimensions of the first moulded elements shrink during sintering; the particles tighten up as porosity disappears and precise calculations must take into account this important change of around 25% in the dimensions. The reward is a case that now stands a 1,250 on the Vickers scale and is ready for final diamond-tool machining and finishing, into an impressive Rado timepiece.

New Brand Ambassador - Barbora Krejčíková

Anatom
NEW BRAND AMBASSADOR – BARBORA KREJČÍKOVÁ

Rado is delighted to have signed Barbora Krejčíková as a brand ambassador, perpetuating its support for the most exhilarating players in tennis.

Czech player Barbora is something of a rare talent that defies categorisation, dominating singles, doubles and mixed doubles alike. With 12 Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold medal, she joins a roster of maccomplished players representing Rado that personify the athleticism, determination and modern mindset required to succeed in tennis today.

Barbora made her name in doubles, accumulating ten Grand Slam titles and numerous other tournament wins. More recently, she has attracted attention for her incredible singles performance, notching up two further Grand Slam wins: she is the reigning Wimbledon Ladies’ champion and triumphed at the 2021 French Open. With the ability to win points from any position, her tenacious, tactical playing style has become something of a trademark.

Aggressive play, humble personality
On court, Barbora combines baseline power with the capacity to surprise opponents – and thrill spectators – with aggressive counterpunches, delicate drop shots, rare forehand slices and perfectly weighted lobs. Her experience in doubles also gives her exceptional skills at the net. She is the latest in a line of worldleading Czech players, frequently partnering compatriot Kateřina Siniaková and having been coached by the late Jana Novotná. Yet, for all her success, Barbora remains wonderfully humble.

As a Rado brand ambassador, she joins a family of players, former professionals and Rado YoungStar talents who showcase the precision, design expertise and vision of Rado watches and the brand’s role as Official Timekeeper for international tennis tournaments.

Barbora said: “Perfect timing is everything in tennis, so it’s a huge compliment to have been invited to become a brand ambassador for Rado, which has such a long connection with the sport. With its reputation for innovation and mastery of materials, a Rado watch also epitomises the evolution of tennis. I’m super excited about where this partnership will take us.”

Style, athletic kudos
The collaboration begins with Barbora wearing an iconic Rado timepiece. The Rado Anatom Automatic is renowned for its astonishing comfort, inspired by the anatomical contours of the wrist. Its Rado calibre R766 movement, which features a 72-hour power reserve, is contained in a stunning matt-black case, with a high-tech ceramic bezel and cylindrical sapphire crystal, while the dial showcases a captivating greento-black gradient. Its contemporary styling is amplified by a rubber strap that blends all-day comfort with a touch of athletic kudos.

The partnership with Barbora highlights Rado’s commitment to professional tennis, celebrating the best players’ achievements and cultivating the next generation of tennis stars.

Tan Jianci - Rado Newest Global Brand Ambassador

Rado introduces Chinese actor/singer Tan Jianci as its newest Global Brand Ambassador
Tan Jianci and Rado have something in common: they tend to turn heads wherever they go. It’s fitting that the Swiss watch brand has announced that the Chinese superstar is its newest global brand ambassador.

Since starting his acting career in 2007, Tan Jianci has established his credentials in films, on television, and on the live stage, but there is much more to this multifaceted performer. He has also enjoyed great success as a pop singer and he moves effortlessly between the disciplines. With starring roles in such popular television series as Under the Skin and Lost You Forever, he has confirmed himself to be one of China’s most compelling acting stars.

Tan Jianci’s singing and dancing carry his passion for performance to even greater levels of success and his popularity continues to grow with each new project.

Rado CEO Adrian Bosshard is excited about Tan Jianci’s latest starring role, Global Brand Ambassador for Rado: “It’s obvious to say that Tan Jianci and Rado share a number of core values. Like us, he brings incredible commitment to everything he does. He also pushes himself constantly, and always strives to explore new aspects of his art and his craft. We look forward to a close and long partnership with this brilliant actor and singer and are proud to see our Rado timepieces on his wrist.”

Tan Jianci was a fan of Rado, known for its innovative design and cutting-edge materials, long before he joined the brand. Highly-regarded for his own keen insight into fashion, he says, “Rado has created so many watches that can truly be described as iconic. This word, which tends to be used too often these days, really does define Rado.” He admires the Captain Cook watches for their robustness and durability and the Rado Anatom timepieces, with their immediately recognizable shape and their exquisite details.

But his current favourite is The Rado True Square Open Heart in white. “This watch,” he says, “has a refined design and it pairs well with any wardrobe.” The stunning True Square Open Heart seems to symbolize Tan Jianci’s multifaceted identity as an actor and singer, as well as the contrasting ease and
spontaneity he demonstrates off-stage and the intensity in his performances for which he is so well known.

True Square Open Heart
The Rado True Square Open Heart features a square, soft-cornered case, round edges and shimmering hightech ceramic bracelets that wrap the wrist in a gentle grip, light and warm. Pure comfort. It’s clear that this timepiece has nothing to hide. The True Square Open Heart offers glimpses of the Rado calibre R734 movement, which offers an 80-hour power reserve. Yet its exterior also has plenty to offer: a case made from white high-tech ceramic and an intricately cut dial with golden accents and 12 diamond indexes that will attract everyone’s attention. We understand Tan Jianci’s enthusiasm.

The watch’s resolute focus on the future doesn’t mean Rado has forgotten tradition and emotion. Its movement and movement holder feature some of the best-loved traditional watchmakers’ decorations and the jewels that reduce friction are there for all to see.

Being able to see the movement is a unique experience for watch enthusiasts, who can lose hours fascinated by the precise movement, the coiling and uncoiling of the balance spring, the gentle click of the cogs and wheels all turning in microscale. It’s a great reminder that time is truly precious.
This Rado True Square Open Heart will bring you closer: Closer to time, closer to precision, closer to iconic design and the latest in watchmaking technology and high-tech materials. It’s not unlike a riveting performance from Rado’s newest global brand ambassador, Tan Jianci: All you have to do is sit back and enjoy it.

DiaStar Original - A Design Icon Vividly Reborn

Rado DiaStar Original
A DESIGN ICON, VIVIDLY REBORN

And just like that… a watchmaking superstar is reinvented for a new generation.

For more than 60 years a design icon – the epitome of Rado’s pioneering approach to materials and disruptive take on design – the Rado DiaStar Original now enters a bold new era. For 2025, it’s ready to wear with your favourite outfit, your bag, your shoes...

It’s true that this spectacular timepiece has enjoyed some wide-ranging makeovers during its lifetime, offering various colours and finishes, plus skeletonised variants, date window options or the choice of a chronograph. And sure, there have been plenty of dial designs in the mix too. But these three new dials are something else.

Discover pure, clean colours that bring to mind the clear blue of a glacial lake, vibrant Art Deco-style turquoise and vivid purple, like an exotic flower in full bloom. These hues pop like cute fashion accessories, or irresistible candy treats, and lend the pieces youthfulness, energy and joy. And, in the age of self-expression, where you can be whoever you want to be – no need to explain, excuse or apologise – they signal to Gen Z that there’s fun to be had in the world of watches. Couple those aesthetic updates with a new case diameter of 30mm, more compact than the 38mm size of its older sibling. At a stroke this new addition to the Rado DiaStar Original range widens its appeal to women – or anyone with smaller wrists.

Groundbreaking style
It’s worth a quick trip down memory lane to put this all in context. First launched in 1962, in the midst of the space-age, the other-worldly style of the original timepiece shook up the world of watchmaking. But it was more than just a striking visual oddity: its revolutionary ‘hardmetal’ composition also represented a new era of unimaginably durable, scratchproof materials, and reversed the long-standing trend of watches that featured lots of glass and small amounts of case material. The Rado DiaStar Original was the definition of a trendsetter, one that enjoyed astounding success, selling millions of units, inspiring countless imitations and helping establish Rado as the Master of Materials.

That unmistakeable case design is still on display today, but in a more evolved expression. Now, its platinum-coloured bezel, mounted on a stainless steel case, is constructed from Ceremos™. Comprised of around 90% titanium carbide, this astonishing material, first introduced to the DiaStar Original range with the 60th Anniversary Edition in 2022, combines the hardness of ceramics with the toughness and lustre of a metal alloy, for improved scratch-resistance and a significantly lower specific weight than hardmetal. Add in a facetted sapphire crystal and the entire top face of the watch is covered by Rado high-tech materials.

Minimalism meets maximalism
But let’s talk more about those dial colours, because let’s face it, they practically scream out for attention. They mean the conversation is no longer centred on technical accomplishments – those are a given. Instead, they bring out a new, playful side of the Rado DiaStar Original, enabling wearers to shout their story from the rooftops. And these new dials don’t just pop. Up close, they also mesmerize, thanks to the detailing of four zones, satin-brushed in different directions. Somehow, minimalism meets maximalism.

Against those three colours, the rhodium-coloured hands really stand out, as does the Rado branding, moving anchor symbol and date window. The piece is powered by the Rado R586 calibre automatic movement, featuring a 48-hour power reserve, and it’s water resistant to 100 metres. Set on a stainless steel bracelet, it’s the perfect combination of design credentials, contemporary style, practicality and comfort. That’s already a killer combination, but most of all, the colours of the Rado DiaStar Original represent the pride of uber-confident personal style.

For Rado, this is a new milestone, for a watch that’s already enjoyed a few. 60 years old? 60 years young, more like. Rado has reset the clock on the DiaStar Original, and there’s a whole new world to grasp.

Anatom High-Tech Ceramic Bracelet

Rado Anatom with High-Tech Ceramic Bracelet
PURE ERGONOMIC HARMONY

The march of progress never rests: continual refinements, tweaks and modifications represent the journey of Rado’s visionary watch designers. For the Rado Anatom, five new editions symbolize their attainment of pure, ergonomic harmony – a progressive symbiosis where design and materials come together to perfectly complement the natural contours of the wrist.

The new releases follow the hugely successful relaunch of the Rado Anatom in 2023, which saw the watch reborn with a black matt high-tech ceramic bezel and paired with a textured rubber strap. Coming 40 years after the original watch was introduced, the update captured the imagination of watch lovers everywhere as a definitive new chapter in styling history. And the latest editions push the concept even further: they each feature a bracelet formed from links of polished high-tech ceramic to match the bezel.

Light, smooth and sensuous
This mindful enhancement lends an already sensuous design additional sensoriality. The lightness and smoothness of high-tech ceramic, coupled with its ability to rapidly adapt to the wearer’s body temperature, maximizes comfort and makes the Rado Anatom feel like a natural extension of their body. That was always the ultimate goal of this watch, as the name suggests.

A symbol of free-thinking futurism when it originally launched in 1983, the Rado Anatom was undoubtedly a revolutionary watch back then. Today’s editions are recognizably heirs to the original – they follow a similar overall form and minimalist aesthetic, and share design details like the horizontal line motif on the dial and bracelet. Don’t forget Rado developed the technique to shape sapphire crystal for the original Anatom – an approach still in widespread use throughout the watchmaking industry.

But, like the timepiece’s 2023 relaunch, these new editions are larger than the original, with a case width of 32.5 mm. A more sculpted form features bevelled edges to the cylindrical sapphire crystal, bezel and bracelet links. The case also tapers in to meet the bracelet, which then continues to taper to a width of 20 mm. These considered touches bring a wonderfully sinuous feel – a major part of what makes the Rado Anatom such a pleasure to wear.

Inside, it has an automatic mechanical movement – the Rado R766 calibre, with a 72-hour power reserve, an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring and a date window at 6 o’clock – in place of the original’s quartz.

Delightful contradictions
Collectively, the new editions represent a series of delightful contradictions: unbelievable comfort that moulds to the body, yet packaged in a bold, stylish aesthetic that stands out from the crowd. Organically curvaceous, no harsh inflections, yet somehow square. The supreme lightness of high-tech ceramic components, juxtaposed against the material’s astonishing durability. Mechanical precision in a digital age.

All elements that seal the Rado Anatom’s status as a 21st century icon of modernity, an expression of the elegance that can be achieved through relentless refinement – perhaps a metaphor for a wearer’s path through life or their quest for self-improvement.

Let’s take a closer look at the five watches. The first two feature polished black high-tech ceramic across the bezel and bracelet, a black ceramic crown and black lacquered dial decorated with an irregularly spaced horizontal line motif. Then it’s your choice between steel- or yellow gold-coloured finishes, across hands, indexes, Rado’s signature rotating anchor symbol and the bracelet’s connecting links. Next, a sleek sibling with a bezel, bracelet and crown in polished plasma high-tech ceramic, paired with a grey lacquered dial and complemented by stunning rose gold-coloured finishes. All three watches exude a sense of confident, contemporary style.

An unmistakeable shimmer
Diamonds bring extra design panache to two Rado Jubilé variants – both feature a polished black hightech ceramic bezel and bracelet, a black ceramic crown, plus a black lacquered dial. The first features arguably the new range’s most minimalistic dial with three diamond indexes, at the 12, 3 and 9 positions. They are complemented by rhodium-coloured hands, on an otherwise all-black timepiece – a design that brings to mind glittering stars on the clearest of nights.

With the second, the dial similarly features three diamond indexes – though in this case they are accompanied by black matt printed indexes around the rest of the clock face. Then on the case, polished stainless-steel end pieces sparkle with a further 38 diamonds, and the bracelet’s first four connecting links are embellished with an additional 124 diamonds. These gemstones lend the piece an intriguing, unmistakeable shimmer.

A clear design evolution
All five new editions are singular examples of Rado’s mastery of materials and ergonomic expertise. Yet they also showcase a clear design evolution as a set. The progression between models means there’s a Rado Anatom for a wide range of watch lovers, whatever their taste preferences – a sure sign of a modern design icon. And with decades of heritage under its belt already, the Rado Anatom no doubt has a tantalising future ahead of it too.

Everything stands still for an instant, before everyone rides that friendly cable-car again, on to the next segment of the journey. As that bright little bubble travels on, gently swaying in the sky above those sleepy worlds down below, special dreams are whispered, grand plans are shared, ideas come alive upon incredible ladders up into the stars and beyond. It is RADO Time. A moment to celebrate and feel.

This year, three special timepieces come into precise focus for those festive celebrations, in virtual, real or maybe as-yet-unimagined stores everywhere. Those timepieces tick precise rhythms with parts or elements cast or carved from chosen minerals beneath our feet and, sometimes, even sprinkled down from the stars, as in the case of Rado high-tech ceramic, forgotten cosmic dust shaped by fire, intelligence and creativity.

The first exquisite Rado model from the Master of Materials’ star-studded festive catalogue, is the latest incarnation of the much-loved Captain Cook, with case and bracelet in matt-black high-tech ceramic and a stainless-steel bezel and crown finished in warm PVD rose-gold shade. Rugged and sporty, this release also wears the iconic box-shaped sapphire crystal, this time over a softly smoke-tinted skeletonised dial. The breathtaking, open design provides an unobstructed view of the R808 movement and its superb contrasts, Côtes-de-Genève decoration and 25 jewels. Just imagine! Those marvellous workings can sing their special holiday song with absolute reliability and accuracy, for up to 80 hours, unattended.

On a gentle festive note of its own, the True Square Open Heart joins the celebrations with a bright white model in sensuous high-tech ceramic, precisely cast in a now-familiar shape that has captivated Rado watch lovers for years. The unique feel of Rado ceramic beautifully complements the softly rounded square format, sublime on the eyes and skin. Inside, this innovative, joyful timepiece carries the well-known and trusted R734 Open Heart movement, perfectly showcased inside the bright and open design. The effect is airy and fresh, and the calibre can be peacefully observed, in all holiday seasons, from the underside of the timepiece as well, thanks to a second sapphire crystal in the titanium case-back. The movement holder is beautifully finished with Côtes-de-Genève and the calibre itself carries a gorgeous pearled surface, in perfect harmony with the other components such as the oscillating weight, jewelled pivot points and other fine workings. Holding all that holiday magic together is a light and ultra-comfortable bracelet in matching white, with that extraordinary, silky feel that made Rado high-tech ceramic famous.

The happy festive trio concludes, like an inspiring winter sunset, with the sophisticated and elegant Centrix Open Heart Super Jubilé. Full of its own love stories perfect for the holidays, this Super Jubilé model brings evocative and poetic elements to the celebration, rounded shapes of bridges across worlds and sparkling precious stones. Sure to catch every glance, a splash of 86 full-cut Top Wesselton diamonds for brightness and joy over the bridge, and twelve additional stones to mark the hours so lovers won’t lose their way. Every harmony is tastefully composed, every colour contrast chosen, from the warm rose-gold-coloured PVD treatment on selected stainless-steel components, to the brown high-tech ceramic elements on the case or the central row of the bracelet. Inside that splendid case, a state-of-the-art R734 automatic movement with NivachronTM hairspring and elegant pearled components, provides 80 hours of power reserve, long enough for a bit of a holiday rest while you gently gaze through the rounded sapphire crystal at your sparkling timepiece, its mystical workings and endless charm. Truly a work of art, full of passion and creativity, for the holidays and forever onward.

The festive season is a time of gratitude, celebration and love, where gentle hearts rejoice in places of unlimited dreams. A simple wish is enough, sometimes, for a whole new world to appear, full of shimmering brilliance, joy and peace, along your own little cable-car journey to an unknown place. Feel it…

Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton

THE WARM, VIRILE SHADE OF GREAT ADVENTURE
The ongoing success story of the Captain Cook Skeleton series takes another creative turn, with the introduction of a new model trimmed in warm, soulful rose-gold PVD on crown and bezel, and signature stylistic features well-known and loved. The iconic box-shaped sapphire crystal, for instance, treated with antireflective coating on both faces, opens onto a stylish, smoke-tinted dial that adds undeniable character next to the superb skeleton movement and its finely detailed, see-through plate and exquisite geometry. The proven and reliable 25-jewel R808 automatic calibre, tested in a full five positions and equipped with an antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring, provides exceptional precision and an impressive 80 hours of power reserve. Thanks to a second sapphire crystal in the black PVD-coated titanium case back, the movement and its components, intricate layers and details can be observed in operation from the top, or the underside of the watch.

Leading a rugged existence full of adventure never meant that it should be done without style. The new Captain Cook wears a rotatable bezel and crown in stainless steel with a warm rose-gold colour thanks to PVD treatment, the stainless-steel base allowing for crisp and well-defined bezel teeth, a lovely touch that adds to the timepiece’s sporty, strong character. The bezel is enhanced by a laser-etched anti-fingerprint high-tech ceramic insert in the same masculine matt black as the case and bracelet. The special insert carries markers and numerals also in rose-gold colour, for a lovely contrast against the darker ceramic elements.

As in all Captain Cook models, the visual composition is rhythmic and virile, underscored by bold and large bezel markers, numerals, hands and indices. For perfect visibility in low light conditions, these latter components are treated with a special black Super-LumiNova® that emits an eye-catching, rather spaceage blue colour. The unique comfort of high-tech ceramic is a notable factor in the success of this line in which the monobloc assembly allows for a surprisingly streamlined case. The undeniable feel of high-tech ceramic speaks for itself, and here, the comfort extends from the case into a gorgeous three-row bracelet in matching matt-black high-tech ceramic, and its titanium three-fold clasp with opposing ceramic pushbuttons for secure, easy-to-handle fastening. Typical high-quality components such as a screw-down crown and precise Rado assembly allow for water resistance up to 30 bar (300m).

The design of the entire line has matured into a comprehensive selection of tremendous character, under Rado’s Art of Ceramic production and cutting-edge technology. Tasteful creativity is visible throughout, from the Côtes-de-Genève engraving to the various shades of metal and elements used in the movement, its oscillating weight, or the PVD-coated moving anchor symbol and its synthetic ruby backplate, always a delight to watch. The new model is a clear and heartwarming celebration of maturity in the watchmaker’s art, from the Master of Materials.

Why High-Tech Ceramic? – Because it feels like nothing else….
This is exactly what Rado high-tech ceramic is all about. It's why we say, "Feel it." The ancient origins of its base material render its durability almost inevitable, but it is indeed a great testimonial to the knowhow and experience of the "Master of Materials" that it has proven to be true. High-tech ceramic is a
beautifully light substance, and one that is also magnificently scratch-resistant

Its sensuous feel, durability, scratch resistance and surprising light weight, quickly conquered the hearts of watch enthusiasts the world over. Though related in some respects to more common forms of ceramics we all know, hightech ceramic is truly a product of advanced science. Under highly exacting conditions, extremely pure and finely calibrated powders of aluminium oxide, zirconium oxide and silicon nitride with perfectly uniform grain sizes, are shaped into a particular form then baked at high temperature to create an object or a watch case of the desired dimensions and properties. This precisely controlled sintering is what makes possible the extraordinary level of density and hardness of High-Tech Ceramic, over regular ceramic. The procedure is true rocket-science territory, as the dimensions of the first moulded elements shrink during sintering; the particles tighten up as porosity disappears and precise calculations must take into account this important change of around 23% in the dimensions. The reward is a case that now stands at 1,250 on the Vickers scale and is ready for final diamond-tool machining and finishing, into an impressive Rado timepiece.

True Square Open Heart Limited Edition

A BICOLOUR “CHECKMATE” IN BLACK AND WHITE
Over the years, Rado has dazzled watch aficionados around the world with its high-tech ceramic watches. The brand regularly adds to its already broad palette with new shades in its signature material. But it all started with two classic colours, black and white. Now it’s time to welcome something completely different: the Rado True Square Limited Edition in two provocative bicolour interpretations, for the first time ever, in black and white. With the full high-tech ceramic construction, the distinctive square shape, the Open Heart design, and diamond hour markers (yes, there are white AND black diamonds), these timepieces will never be mistaken for any other and they were designed to catch every eye in the room. Each reference has been produced in a series limited to 888 pieces.

Let’s admit it. There’s something almost mystical about black and white. They are in stark contrast to each other but when they work together, good things happen. Consider the alternating squares on a chess board and the precise interplay of the black and white pieces. The game of kings (and queens) is defined by precision and nearly-indescribable beauty. Which brings us back to the two new bicolour Rado True Square Limited Edition watches.

These alluring models in black and white are the first ever bicolour references in the True Square Open Heart collection, which has already enjoyed great acclaim. They are crafted from high-tech ceramic – Rado’s signature material. The striking visual appeal of each model is rounded out with the hours marked by eight Top Wesselton diamonds and four black diamonds. Let’s meet the new watches.

The first features a black high-tech ceramic monobloc case and crown on a polished black and white hightech ceramic bracelet. It has a black PVD sandblasted titanium case back engraved with the words LIMITED EDITION ONE OUT OF 888. The sapphire crystal offers a view of the circular grain decorated movement powering the watch.

The black and white vertically brushed dial is distinguished with eight Top Wesselton full-cut diamonds and four black diamonds to mark the hours. Also highlighting the Open Heart dial are its rhodium-coloured bevels, a black flange, and Rado’s familiar rhodium-coloured moving anchor symbol against a black background. The presentation is rounded out by the silver printed Rado and black printed Automatic logos. The rhodium-coloured hands have a black veneer and white Super-LumiNova®.

The second watch has a white high-tech ceramic monobloc case and crown, and its bracelet – also in polished high-tech ceramic – is white and black. The sandblasted titanium caseback is fitted with a sapphire crystal and special engraving featuring the words LIMITED EDITION ONE OUT OF 888.

Like its black counterpart, it features a black and white vertically brushed dial highlighted by eight white full-cut diamond hour markers and four black ones. It also shares some of the other aesthetic codes that define the stunning dial: the rhodium-coloured bevels, the black flange, and the distinctive rhodiumcoloured moving anchor symbol on a contrasting black background. And its identity is confirmed by the silver printed Rado and black printed Automatic logos.

Both of these bold new True Square Open Heart models are driven by the Rado calibre R734, an automatic movement that delivers an impressive 80-hour power reserve. They are fitted with an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring, adjusted to 5 positions. Thanks to the open heart dial construction and the transparent case back, the movement is on proud display and is distinguished by circular grain decoration. The movement holder features an appealing Côte de Genève pattern. These watches are delivered with a Limited Edition Certificate and a Precious Stones Certificate. They are water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).

These Rado True Square Open Heart timepieces boldly express the flawless, nearly inevitable partnership of black and white. We mentioned the sublime symmetry of a chess board and the black and white pieces moving purposely across it. It’s fair to say that with the new watches, Rado has maintained its grandmaster status, taking its own game to places no one has been before. Now it’s your move.

True Square Thinline

OWN THE NIGHT WITH RADO
With devilishly deep hues, a polished finish and confident pops of colour, the three new editions of the Rado True Square Thinline evoke the allure and excitement of the city after dark. The sights, sounds and energy of our urban playgrounds at nightfall demand something suitably seductive. The minimalist
aesthetic of these timepieces, combined with their sleek dimensions and square shape – unmistakably Rado – is guaranteed to stir the senses of night owls everywhere.

The world’s best-known Master of Materials channels a dusk-till-dawn vibe with a polished high-tech ceramic monobloc case and crown, presented on a matching ceramic bracelet. This lustrous finish literally reflects the light and movement of the evening, when the city feels most alive. Wrists will shimmer amid the dazzle of passing traffic, beneath the glow of billboards and against the frenzy of flashbulbs on opening night.

Each one of these iconic watches makes a bold visual statement. And they’re multi-faceted too. Depending on the nocturnal environment, they can convey pure glamour, elegance and poise. But they will also look perfectly at home in more hedonistic surroundings, projecting a sense of mischief. After all, on the best nights out, anything can happen.

The way they look is just one side of the story. As the latest additions to a family that unites features from Rado’s popular True Square and Thinline families, they also embody 21st-century watchmaking finesse. Those Thinline credentials mean their cases are only 5.0 mm thick. Inside, they are powered by a Rado calibre R420 quartz movement, with 13 jewels, that measures less than a millimetre thick. This pioneering combination, complemented by case dimensions of just 37 x 43.3 mm, represents a true feat of miniature engineering and materials expertise.

In black, the Rado True Square Thinline is innately stylish. Its sinuous design is beautifully finessed and feels smooth against the skin. Up close, nuanced details come into focus through its flat sapphire crystal, with the tone-on-tone subtlety of a sun-brushed black dial and black printed indexes. Then, that hit of colour: lacquered hands come in a choice of either turquoise or sun orange, with a printed Rado logo to match. That high-contrast appearance – like bright lights in the cityscape – sends a powerful message: the wearer undeniably owns the night.

Also making its debut is a Rado True Square Thinline in an opulent shade of dark green. Its case and crown are again formed from high-tech monobloc ceramic, and similarly complemented by a matching bracelet. The richness of the colour, along with its polished finish, gives the piece an almost iridescent
quality that catches the eye and holds the attention. This time, it is paired with a dial of green mother-ofpearl, lending additional visual depth alongside tone-on-tone green printed indexes. Lacquered hands in yellow and a matching printed Rado logo inject vibrant contrast.

For all three pieces, a titanium case back and three-fold clasp complete the look, and water-resistance to three bar (30m) ensures these pieces are practical companions – no need to worry if you’re caught in a rainstorm.

These new versions of the Rado True Square Thinline exude contemporary style and sophistication, but they also have been created for a world where fashion happily co-exists with comfort. Their chameleonlike styling and practicality ensures they are the perfect partner during nights out in the concrete jungle, ready for wherever the evening leads.

Making Special Moments Truly Timeless

MAKING SPECIAL MOMENTS TRULY TIMELESS
The most cherished occasions call for something unforgettable. From Rado, the pioneering Swiss watchmaker renowned as the Master of Materials, come two exquisite timepieces ideal for gift-giving, presented by the enchanting pairing of Bollywood superstars Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif.

Rekindling their celebrated on-screen chemistry from a decade ago, the idols once again radiate the effortless style, enduring charm and magnetic allure that have helped make them such a captivating presence and exciting cultural phenomenon. Those magical qualities now align perfectly with the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton and Rado Centrix Open Heart Super Jubilé – watches that ooze contemporary style, innovation and luxury. It almost goes without saying that both pieces also represent the iconic design heritage, materials expertise and creative ambition of Rado.

Roshan and Kaif – both Rado brand ambassadors – lend their incredible star quality to showcase the two watches in a campaign that channels the evocative meaning conveyed by gifts of true craftsmanship. The acclaimed performers tell a compelling story of the art of giving, where thoughtful consideration combines with unrivalled sophistication – an approach guaranteed to lift the heart of any gift recipient.

For those with a thirst for adventure…

Roshan unveils the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton, presented for the first time in a matt black monobloc case with rose-gold embellishments. Through its black-tinted box-shaped sapphire crystal and beyond its bold hands and indexes – all brushed rose-gold-coloured, with black Super-Luminova® – its Rado calibre R808 automatic movement can be glimpsed, featuring a rose-gold-coloured centre wheel bridge.

Set on a high-tech ceramic bracelet, it makes an unmistakeably powerful statement. Its intriguing harmony of luxury and soulful sophistication with the robustness of a sports watch makes it the perfect gift for someone with an unquenchable thirst for life and an eye for the details. They’ll discover a movement with Côtes de Genève decoration, an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring and an 80-hour power reserve, contained in a case that is water-resistant to 30 bar (300 metres). Of course, the skeletonised movement can also be seen through the transparent sapphire case back.

Roshan said: “The Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton is a dynamic fusion of watchmaking heritage, innovative materials and modern design, ready to remind the wearer of their proudest achievements and accompany them on adventures to come.”

…and to mark those moments of pure emotion

And Kaif, known for her grace and style, personally exemplifies the Rado Centrix Open Heart Jubilé. Its rose-gold-coloured case and dark brown mother-of-pearl dial – featuring 12 diamond indexes – beautifully frame a view of the Rado calibre R734 automatic movement. This careful composition celebrates two worlds: elegance on the surface meets complexity beneath. When given as a gift, it becomes a metaphor for life and the precious moments that define it, whether telling a story of celebration or following the path of true love.

Elements like the unique organic contrasts within the dial, the circular grain decoration on the movement and the high-tech ceramic links within the rose-gold-coloured bracelet lend additional layers of finesse that will reflect the richness of each recipient’s journey.

Kaif said: “The Rado Centrix Open Heart Jubilé is not just the epitome of luxury, elegance and style but a work of art, making it the ideal gift for joyful moments you want to treasure forever.”

Adrian Bosshard, CEO of Rado, added: “At Rado, we believe in creating timepieces that are more than accessories–they are symbols of life’s most profound moments. Being able to work with two such stellar talents as Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif is a privilege that beautifully demonstrates how the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton and Rado Centrix Open Heart Jubilé resonate with our most emotional occasions.”

Every Second is an Opportunity

Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton
EVERY SECOND IS AN OPPORTUNITY – CAMERON GREEN

Australian cricket prodigy Cameron Green fronts the latest campaign from Rado that encapsulates the psychological and athletic challenges of the game and highlights the importance of perfect timing on the pitch, and in life.

The Master of Materials’ newest brand ambassador – an all-rounder seen as a once-in-a-generation talent – appears in a series of locker-room portraits and a short film that convey the intensity, power and focus required of cricket’s finest players. “Timing is everything,” narrates Cameron. “Every second is an opportunity.”

The imagery captures the poise of a modern athlete in a sport that demands technical, tactical, energetic and mental prowess, and subtly showcases the intriguing contradictions that characterise modern cricket. Cameron’s youth contrasts with centuries of tradition. The stillness of the locker room and the elegance of his white clothing collide with the protective equipment he wears: the caged helmet, batting pads and gloves reveal the game’s ferocity. The bat itself is wielded as a formidable instrument, yet one of utmost precision. His thoughtful gaze hints at the sheer determination brewing within.

Alongside, the film captures the full dramatic arc of the game – from Cameron’s pre-match rituals, through the elation of the duel, to the rewarding post-match feeling of a battle well-fought. Together, the collection offers a tantalising glimpse into his world.

Exquisite intricacy
Having made his International Cricket Debut for Australia in a One Day International (ODI) game against India in December 2020, he has since gained a reputation as one of the world’s best all-rounders – skilled as a batsman and fast bowler alike. Career highlights so far include being signed to Mumbai Indians in 2022 – a deal, at the time, that made him the second most-expensive overseas player in the history of the Indian Premier League and the most expensive Australian player – before moving to Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2024 league. He is a regular in the Australian Test and ODI squads, and was part of the winning Australian team in the World Test Championship and ODI World Cup teams in 2023.

In addition to those accomplishments to date, he is regarded as a player with astonishing potential yet to come. That’s why, on his wrist, he wears the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton, a robust timepiece designed for adventure that perfectly reflects Cameron’s temperament, passion and ambition. This matt black and rose-gold-coloured powerhouse combines Rado’s expertise in materials with the precision of a 25-jewel automatic movement – its exquisite intricacy on full display through the transparent dial and sapphire case back.

Balancing force with finesse
Such a sporty yet stylish watch is the ideal companion for a legend-in-the-making known for balancing force with finesse. Its robust, masculine character comes through in details like well-defined bezel teeth, a screw-down crown and water resistance up to 30 bar (300m), while its rose-gold-coloured embellishments epitomise contemporary style. Both on and off the pitch, the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton feels unbelievable on the skin too. That comes from the streamlined, monobloc case and the sensation of its high-tech ceramic three-row bracelet – which matches its bezel insert.

The cricket star said: “As a sportsman, I’m fully focused on enhancing my performance, on making intricate adjustments that drive relentless improvements. The Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton is the perfect companion to my life as an athlete and helps me make every moment count. And what’s crucial is that it feels good on my wrist – like an extension of my body.”

Classic yet contemporary, the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton is ideally suited to Cameron Green as a sportsman and as an expression of the elegance and rigours of cricket today.

Cameron Green - the new Rado Ambassador

Australian Cricket Prodigy, Cameron Green announced as new Brand Ambassador with Swiss Watchmaker, Rado.
Rado Switzerland, continuing its foray into the world of cricket, has confirmed that talented Australian allrounder, Cameron Green, is its newest brand ambassador.

An impressive young cricketer who excels in all formats of the game, Green made his International Cricket Debut for Australia in a One Day International (ODI) game against India in December 2020. Just a fortnight later, he made his Test debut, also competing against India.

A destructive batsman and quality fast bowler, Green has since become a regular in the Australian Test and ODI squads. In 2022, ahead of the 2023 IPL, Green was signed to the Mumbai Indians for an incredible sum of INR 17.5 crore, making him at the time, the second most expensive overseas player in the history of the IPL. Adding to the already impressive season, Green scored his maiden IPL century, a 100* against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and also achieved his maiden Test century (once again against India), and was a member of the winning Australian World Test Championship and ODI World Cup teams.

Adrian Bosshard, Rado CEO, was excited about welcoming the prestige watch brand’s new ambassador. He said, “We are thrilled to see Cameron Green join the Rado family. His quest for excellence in every aspect of this great sport aligns seamlessly with Rado's pursuits in the world of watchmaking. We look forward to this journey of conquering new territory together, both on and off the cricket pitch."

Green also shared his excitement about the partnership, saying, "I am honoured and excited to be associated with Rado. The brand has a global reputation for the quality of its watches and to its relentless commitment to creating innovative materials. And of course, the designs of the Rado timepieces are
extraordinary. I’m looking forward to a long partnership.”

Ahead of his inclusion in the Australian Team for the T20 World Cup in June, Green will wear the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton watch which, with its distinctive matt olive green high-tech ceramic case, has attracted nearly as much attention as the cricket star.

In his role as Rado ambassador, Cameron Green will assume the leading role in Australian media campaigns, which will highlight the brand’s growing link to the great sport of cricket.

Not only is ceramic durable and impervious to almost everything, it has a rare silkiness to the touch that makes for exquisite comfort against the skin. Place it over a human wrist — fine, large, gentle or rugged, and it feels like it was made to be there — since forever. This is of course particularly true for timepieces making use of ceramic elements also in their bracelet, where the sensory experience becomes
total and absolutely unforgettable.

About High-Tech Ceramic
Chronologically-speaking, high-tech ceramic was first introduced by Rado in 1986. Its sensuous feel, durability, scratch resistance and surprising light weight quickly conquered the hearts of watch enthusiasts the world over. This precisely controlled sintering is what makes possible the extraordinary level of density and hardness of High-Tech Ceramic, over regular ceramic. The procedure is true rocket-science territory, as the dimensions of the first moulded elements shrink during sintering; the particles tighten up as porosity disappears and precise calculations must take into account this important change of around 25% in the dimensions. The reward is a case that now stands at 1,250 on the Vickers scale and is ready for final diamond-tool machining and finishing, into an impressive Rado timepiece.

When The Blues Feels So Good

True Square Skeleton and Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton

WHEN THE BLUES FEELS SO GOOD
In deep, urban shades of late-night blue, the new versions of both the Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton and True Square Skeleton timepieces will stir unforgettable notes in the hearts of watch lovers everywhere. The world’s well-known Master of Materials brings its undeniable expertise in the creation of high-tech ceramic in gorgeous colours, to two Rado favourites. The deep elegance and character of two iconic timepieces, with new, added freshness and versatility in stunning navy blue, along with that same unmistakable, sensuous high-tech ceramic feel that no one can ever forget.

The True Square Skeleton is one of Rado’s best-known models. Its big and bold case with softly rounded corners has pleased watch wearers from the start and the addition of a skeleton see-through movement with contrasting elements and meticulous finishing, refined the product line to a new level of sophistication. The latest model, in deep blue, comes for the first time with a blue rubber strap that matches the case, and a newly designed clasp using a high-tech ceramic cover, also in blue. Inside, protected by a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both faces, a superb R808 calibre with a NivachronTM hairspring, chosen for its resistance to shocks, temperature fluctuations and magnetic fields, ensures absolute precision. The movement was tested for accuracy in a full five positions and also provides up to 80 hours of power reserve. The titanium case back is fitted with an additional sapphire crystal, to allow a full view of the intricately skeletonised movement and its lovely geometrics and fascinating operation. The balance, hands, minute-wheel bridge, barrel and movement jewels are all openly visible for watch enthusiasts to delight over.

The companion Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton, a model appreciated for its adventurous character and rugged good looks, boasts a slightly different application of the new colour. The deep navy- blue wears a matt finish, particularly well-suited to the sportier Captain Cook, and the bezel teeth are polished to a bright shine that beautifully complements the signature box-shaped sapphire crystal. The glass is treated with an anti-reflective coating on both faces, for best readability, and a second sapphire crystal is set into the case back, to allow a full appreciation of the timepiece’s workings and skeletonised calibre. For the first time, the case back is finished in matching deep navy-blue PVD, in a timepiece where clearly, no detail was left to chance. The R808 movement, a marvel of watchmaking engineering and finishing, is equipped with a cutting-edge NivachronTM hairspring, highly resistant to shocks, thermal variations and magnetic fields. Tested in a full five positions for maximum accuracy, the 25-jewel, 3-hand movement is able to provide an impressive 80 hours of power reserve, so even the most passionate explorers will get the rest they need. The new Captain Cook Skeleton comes with a sporty, adventure- ready rubber strap in matching blue colour, for a note of everyday wearability next to that sophisticated high-tech ceramic case, stunning skeleton movement and polished bezel detailing. The rubber strap is light and body friendly, as the material quickly adapts to the wearer’s skin temperature for maximum comfort. Two models in a mysterious new shade, perfect for a lovely night of memorable blues, in a famous place and with a favourite friend.

A Sporty New Captain Cook For This Summer

A SPORTY NEW RADO CAPTAIN COOK DAZZLES WITH THREE DIFFERENT SUMMER LOOKS
When Rado relaunched its celebrated Captain Cook in 2017, it immediately captured the hearts – and found its way to the wrists – of watch aficionados around the world. That classic timepiece took its inspiration from the 37mm original, which was introduced in 1962, and the line has continued to evolve ever since. And now, just in time for summer in the northern hemisphere, the brand has launched a sporty new interpretation of the Captain Cook Automatic with a stunning blue-to-white gradient dial. It features an EasyClip system and is delivered with three different straps so wearers can adapt their watches’ look to their moods.

The newest member of the Rado Captain Cook family has been created to catch every eye in the room. And it will be a sparkling addition to every wrist on the court as the summer tennis season gets off to another rousing start. The watch has a polished stainless steel case and screw-down crown. The case is fitted with a polished stainless steel rotating bezel with a polished blue high-tech ceramic bezel insert with engraved hour markers and numbers in matt white Super-LumiNova®. It has a box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.

The striking blue-to-white gradient dial has silver applied indexes coated with Super-LumiNova®. Rado’s signature moving anchor symbol, in grey, is presented on a playful purple backplate. The timepiece has a blue-coloured flange with a dark yellow minute track. Its dial is rounded out with grey printed Rado and Captain Cook logos and, confirming the watch’s impressive water resistance, “300m / 1000ft”. The grey central hour and minute hands are treated with white Super-Lumi-Nova® and the tip of the central seconds hand features dark yellow Super-LumiNova® for excellent legibility in all lighting conditions.

The polished stainless steel case back has a sapphire crystal that offers a clear view of the Rado R763 automatic calibre at the heart of the watch. The superb mechanical movement, with its antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring adjusted in five positions, offers a power reserve of 80 hours.

This new Rado Captain Cook Automatic is a perfect summer gift for yourself or for someone you love: it is delivered in a blue leather pouch and has its own colourful wardrobe: along with the polished and brushed stainless steel bracelet with a titanium three-fold clasp, it comes with a blue and white textile Nato-style strap as well as a blue leather strap with a stainless steel extendable folding clasp. With three distinctive looks, it partners perfectly with whatever you’re wearing and is the perfect accompaniment to every adventure, whether on the court, by the pool, or in the heart of the city.

True Square Open Heart

WELCOME TO THE SHAPE – AND COLOURS – OF THINGS TO COME
A significant part of Rado’s reputation was built on its square high-tech ceramic watches, and the True Square collection, since its launch, has taken the world by storm with its compelling interpretation of this iconic Rado shape. Thanks to its square injected monobloc high-tech ceramic case, it is light and scratchresistant, and it delivers incredible wearer comfort.

Among the models that have generated the most buzz are the True Square Open Heart watches, featuring skeletonized dials whose crisp lines and clear windows offer evocative glimpses of the R734 automatic calibre at work. Rado is now enhancing the collection with two new True Square Open Heart timepieces, one in eye-catching turquoise with diamond hour markers and another in white, featuring a kaleidoscopic range of coloured gem stones.

These are watches that will catch you checking the time more frequently than usual. And if you decide that one of these striking timepieces is an ideal gift for a special someone, know that you’ll be in her thoughts with each glance at the time. Let’s meet the newest members of the True Square Open Heart family.

The first is particularly alluring with its turquoise high-tech monobloc ceramic case and crown. It has a vertically brushed turquoise dial with silver-coloured bevels, which is highlighted by 12 Top Wesselton, VSSI full cut diamonds with a combined weight of 0.096 carat and a turquoise-coloured flange. The rhodiumcoloured central hour and minute hands are coated with white veneer and white Super-LumiNova®, which makes them legible in all lighting conditions. There is also a rhodium-coloured central seconds hand and the presentation is rounded out with a rhodium-coloured moving anchor symbol on a silver background along with grey printed Rado and Automatic logos. The sandblasted titanium case back is fitted with a sapphire crystal, which allows additional views of the movement at the heart of the watch. Appropriately, this colourful watch is presented on a turquoise polished high-tech ceramic bracelet secured by a titanium 3-fold clasp.

The second watch being debuted is a True Square Open Heart with a polished white monobloc high-tech ceramic case and crown. Its white vertically brushed dial has rhodium-coloured bevels and each hour is marked by a coloured gemstone. The effect is especially impressive as the stones offer dazzling bits of colour in striking contrast to the dial. The rhodium-coloured central hour and minute hands are coated in orange Super-LumiNova®. Along with a central rhodium-coloured central seconds hand, the dial is distinguished by a rhodium-coloured moving anchor symbol on a white background as well as by grey printed Rado and Automatic logos. This study in white is delivered on a white polished high-tech ceramic bracelet with a titanium 3-fold clasp.

Both models are driven by a superb automatic movement, the Rado calibre R734. Thanks to its Nivachron™ hairspring, adjusted in 5 positions, it offers outstanding resistance to the effects of magnetic fields. It is not only a technical marvel, it is also an expression of the design elements for which Rado has long been celebrated: the movement has an appealing circular grain decoration and the Côte de Genèvedecorated movement holder adds another intriguing touch. The R734 offers an impressive power reserve of 80 hours. The watches are water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).

Distinctive and design-led, these new Rado True Square Automatic Open Heart models combine the shape, the colours, and the performance of things to come.

Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton

MAKE THE CITY YOUR WILDERNESS
With so much of humanity now living in cities, great explorers have begun to turn their bold curiosity to predominantly urban environments; the world's cities have become a fair bit greener, quieter, more colourful and human. The latest version of the famous Rado Captain Cook timepiece returns with elegant PVD rose-gold detailing, to tell of metropolitan jungles rather than misty palm forests, shades of an urban dawn on a backdrop of towers and architecture.

Wearing rich and evocative olive tones, the new Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton shows, rather conclusively, that some of the best adventure occurs right where most people live, at the heart of the modern metropolis. At ease in every facet of your explorations, in daytime, midday or through an endless night, this very iconic timepiece brings outstanding Rado precision and reliability to accompany your busy journey.

Though completely comfortable in rubber-strap attire, the new Captain Cook also features a superb triplerow bracelet completely crafted from Rado high-tech ceramic. It is the perfect complement to its monobloc ceramic case, the latter topped by a warm, bright rose-gold-coloured PVD treated stainless-steel rotatable bezel. A further touch of olive colour is tastefully added, with a further high-tech ceramic insert, inside the bezel, next to the signature box-shaped sapphire crystal glass, with antireflective treatment both inside and out, to keep things clear. The great navigators of former times would have appreciated the large, handsome hands and markers, highlighted by white, easy-to-read Super-LumiNova® treatment, perfect for any low-light conditions.

Inside, a state-of-the-art R808 25-jewel, three-hand automatic movement keeps an explorer's discoveries on time with impeccable reliability and precision, thanks to an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring and superlative Rado construction. The movement is tested in a full five positions and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve, so that even worldly explorers can count on a few days of rest before yielding to their next adventure.

The flip side of the new Captain Cook is equipped with a circular-brushed titanium case back with an additional sapphire crystal, for a glance into the finer workings of the timepiece, through its skeleton movement and beyond that lovely, trademark oscillating anchor symbol. The high-tech ceramic case, screw-down crown and typical Rado quality assembly provide water resistance up to 30 bar (300m). In either the sportier and slightly more casual green rubber-strap version, or the exquisitely-finished olivegreen high-tech ceramic triple-row bracelet version, with titanium three-fold clasp and twin-pushbutton closure, your new skeleton automatic will remain with you through the most rugged, demanding explorations, a reliable ally in tropical and urban jungles, as your own unique lifestyle demands.

True Square x Kunihiko Morinaga

MAKING THE INVISIBLE VISIBLE
In 2017, Rado collaborated with the visionary Japanese fashion designer Kunihiko Morinaga to create a limited edition timepiece that blended the brand’s renowned mastery of materials with the colour-changing technology for which the avant-garde designer is so well known. Rado and Morinaga have announced the release of their latest shared masterpiece, the Rado True Square x Kunihiko Morinaga Special Edition watch.

It's no surprise that the new Rado True Square x Kunihiko Special Edition watch is visually breathtaking. It features a squarish polished black monobloc high-tech ceramic case and crown. The black PVD sandblasted titanium case back is fitted with a sapphire crystal with the metalized words: KUNIHIKO MORINAGA SPECIAL EDITION.

The transparent dial is one of the watch’s defining elements. In true Kunihiko Morinaga fashion, it has a photochromic treatment, which means that it changes colour according to the available light. The designer explains, “The intent was to add colour and take it away. I tried to capture the ethereal nature of time in the design by integrating a photochromic lens that changes colour based on ultraviolet light.”

And it works! When it is exposed to sunlight, the True Square’s dial darkens. But as the sun goes down – as it invariably does – the dial shade evolves into grey and finally becomes transparent, revealing the Rado calibre R734 at the heart of the watch. The sight of the automatic mechanical movement is worth waiting for. It is fitted with an antimagnetic Nivachron™ balance spring and, like the movement holder, features circular grain decoration.

In stunning contrast to the eye-catching dial, the rhodium-coloured hour and minute hands have a white veneer and are coated with white Super-LumiNova®, which makes them legible regardless of the position of the sun.

The Rado True Square x Kunihiko Morinaga is presented on a polished black high-tech ceramic bracelet secured by a titanium three-fold clasp. The watch, which is water resistant to 5 bar (50m), is delivered with a Special Edition certificate.

The Rado True Square x Kunihiko Morinaga Special Edition is the result of a natural partnership between an innovative brand and a disruptive fashion visionary who are dedicated to blending the boundaries between technology and design.

Rado x BMW Open 2024

The Swiss watch brand Rado is the official timekeeper and partner of the BMW Open. With its involvement in the ATP 250 men's tournament, the Swiss watch brand, which has been associated with tennis for almost 40 years, is returning to a German tennis court.

Centrix Open Heart

Spark of True Love and Bridge to Eternity
The new Centrix Open Heart tells a Rado love story to match the most evocative moods that the brand has ever created. While most watches are usually about familiar shapes wrapped in grand craftsmanship, in the best cases, the new Centrix establishes a fresh new narrative, with design stylings and elements that speak of eternal love, sparkling memories and places where only the purest hearts may travel.

In recent watchmaking history, everyone has seen interesting, sometimes quite exciting design explorations that have blended colours, textures, shapes or materials, things already quite synonymous with the Rado brand name as we know it. The new Centrix Open Heart strikes an even brighter starlit note, with special design elements that totally spark the imagination and indeed, the human fascination for metaphor. The dial of the new Centrix brings to mind that eternal symbol so dear to lovers everywhere— the bridge between worlds, the now and the beyond, that forever has allowed the spirit to travel safely over life's challenges. A bridge, two gentle curves, with the upper one punctuated for a brief instant by the centre of the timepiece upon which the hands pivot in perfect harmony. The design then neatly flows outward unhindered, free, over to the dial's edge. A large window, reminiscent at once of dawn and dusk, beautifully frames a state-of-the-art R734 automatic movement with 80 hours of power reserve and a NivachronTM hairspring, as well as a deeply elegant rippled-sunlight "ondulé soleil" motif on chosen component surfaces.

The dial's background shade matches that of the bracelet's central links, in Rado high-tech ceramic, while the case and outer bracelet elements chase each other in playful harmony, ever warming lovers' hearts in comforting shades of rose-gold-coloured PVD-finished stainless steel. A gently convex sapphire crystal with a rounded edge, bonded to the case, closes the design and gives perfect readability, thanks to antireflective coating on both faces. Elegant metallised branding and model information is applied directly to the inside of the crystal, in matching rose-gold colour. A second sapphire crystal equips the stainless-steel case back, to allow an insightful glance into the Open Heart's workings, in this latest addition to the Rado “Art of Skeletonization” product series.

To satisfy everyone's own, very personal love story, different models are available, including one in plasma high-tech ceramic. A light, bright and airy-feeling version comes with a white mother-of-pearl dial surface and matching high-tech-ceramic bracelet central links. A more contrasting and intense version comes with a dark-brown mother-of-pearl dial and matching high-tech-ceramic bracelet links, cast against the same rich, rose-gold-coloured PVD-treated stainless-steel case and bracelet outer links. Among the many versions, the Jubilé models feature twelve Top-Wesselton full-cut diamonds as indices to mark the hours, while two Super Jubilé versions add a further sparkling stream of diamonds along the lower arch of the bridge, as an ultimate statement of love-struck sophistication and finesse. As the constellations write their eternal stories above our heads, they build bridges for lovers to meet. Those with a Centrix Open Heart hold their breath and keep very still, with grace, trust and precision, for up to 80 hours...

True Round Open Heart

With cases and bracelets crafted from high-tech ceramic, and a striking new dial with a cutout revealing the watch’s beating heart, four new interpretations of the True Round Open Heart – including a striking limited edition model – proudly distinguish themselves from every other timepiece on the market.

The dial cutout is worthy of special attention. Boldly offset near the centre of the dial is a creatively crafted “8”, a figure considered to be the most fortuitous of all numbers in some parts of the world – a perfect feature for a watch released in a limited edition of 888 pieces. Viewed from another angle, this striking cutout is the symbol for infinity, which wonderfully expresses the endlessness of time and all things eternal.

And breathtaking design isn’t limited to the watch’s exterior. The R734 movement is not only a mechanical wonder but an expression of the art of watchmaking, with its sunray guilloche finish. Fitted with an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring, it delivers a power reserve of 80 hours.

Let’s take a closer look at the four new Rado True Round Open Heart models. All four feature the characteristics that define Rado: high-tech ceramic cases and bracelets as well as cutting-edge design. They also have the bold cutout dial that offers such a compelling look at the impressively finished R734 calibre at the heart of the watch. All the models have rose gold-coloured hour and minute hands and applied indexes with white Super-LumiNova® along with a rose gold-coloured seconds hand. Each one is water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).

The Rado True Round Open Heart Limited Edition is sure to excite collectors and aficionados. Its dial, with its intriguing cutout, is protected by a unique dichroic sapphire crystal, whose colours shift alluringly. That means that every glance at the watch – and there will be a lot of them – offers a different view. It has a polished white high-tech ceramic case and crown with a specially-engraved titanium case back. Confirming its special status with the engraving: LIMITED EDITION ONE OUT OF 888. In pleasing contrast to its white sunray dial are rose gold-coloured bevels and applied indexes with white Super-LumiNova®, a rose goldcoloured moving anchor symbol on a white background and a grey printed minute track. The Rado logo is also positioned distinctively on a part of the dial extending from the outer ring to the base of the figure 8. The watch is presented on a polished white high-tech ceramic titanium bracelet with a 3-fold clasp. This special True Round Open Heart Limited Edition timepiece is delivered with a Limited Edition certificate.

Each of the three other models will attract its own loyal fans and all deserve special attention. The first has a polished black high-tech ceramic monobloc case and crown. Its black PVD-coated titanium case back’s sapphire crystal allows an unobstructed view of the movement. It features a black sunray dial with rose gold-coloured bevels and a grey printed minute track. An iconic rose gold-coloured Rado moving anchor is featured on a black background, and the brand’s logo is printed on the dial. Fittingly, this study in black is delivered on a polished black high-tech ceramic bracelet with a titanium 3-fold clasp.

The second also blends Rado’s mastery of materials with its technical wizardry. It has a polished plasma high-tech ceramic monobloc case and crown and a titanium case back whose sapphire crystal reveals an eye-catching view of the movement. This model features a grey sunray dial with rose gold-coloured bevels and a silver-coloured printed minute track. The Rado logo is printed on the distinctive grey dial and the characteristic rose gold-coloured moving anchor symbol offers a pleasing contrast to a rhodium background. The watch is presented on a polished plasma high-tech ceramic bracelet with a titanium 3- fold clasp.

Rounding out the collection is a True Round Open Heart with a white high-tech ceramic monobloc case and crown. The R734 automatic movement is on proud display through the titanium case back’s sapphire crystal. It features a white sunray dial with rose gold-coloured bevels and a grey printed minute track and Rado logo on a dedicated part of the dial while the rose gold-coloured moving anchor symbol is presented on a white background. Adding to the sense of light and elegance is a polished white high-tech ceramic bracelet with a titanium 3-fold clasp.

Which of these new Rado masterpieces would you choose for her? Or him? Or yourself? You can’t go wrong with any of them because all of these Rado True Round Open Heart watches were designed to men and women who – just like you – are drawn to watches that are relentlessly contemporary but which also have a timelessness and style that make them true keepsakes.

Anatom - Another chapter in styling history

Anatom - Another chapter in styling history
When the Rado Anatom was launched in 1983, impressive in all aspects including its futuristic sapphire-crystal glass, the market had been exploring unusual watch formats for a while already, mostly square and rectangular variants, many of them dainty and feminine and meant to be worn mostly as jewellery. As the Anatom evolved, with the designers’ primary focus being on making the new timepiece as harmonious and “anatomical” as possible, its overall look also pushed boundaries in new directions. In addition to the convex or “rounded” sapphire glass, new flowing forms emerged, at the bracelet and case attachments, for instance. Rado’s watchmaking artists had spotted that the new anatomical forms also improved visual flow between those elements. The Anatom was breaking fresh new ground, and harsh angular inflections disappeared in favour of pure, flowing lines which, next to the rounded glass, made the official term “anatomical” an inescapable one. The concept had reached its mission and the futuristic “Anatom” model had truly arrived. The new paradigm reshaped the brand’s overall public image for decades to come.

DiaStar Original Skeleton - The Journey Continues

WE COULD MAKE IT, SO WE DID.
When Rado launched the first DiaStar in 1962, the watch world certainly took notice, but it’s fair to say that at first, people didn’t know quite what to make of it. In an era of conventional design, the DiaStar stood out. With its design and materials – along with its durability and extreme resistance – it truly marked a step change for the watch industry and in time, its unusual shape generated a committed legion of followers who have remained loyal to the icon – and the brand – ever since.

In 2022, Rado celebrated the DiaStar’s 60th anniversary with new models by changing the case material from tungsten carbide, which had been such a defining part of the watch, to Rado Ceramos™, whose extraordinary qualities –durability, lightness, and scratch resistance – have already wowed aficionados around the world. This exquisite Ceramos™ also delivers unmatched wearer comfort and an absolutely unique feel (you really do have to feel the difference!). A timepiece that had triggered a design revolution so long ago proved itself to be part of the Rado evolution some six decades later. And the Master of Materials is now proudly launching an update of the yellow-gold coloured DiaStar Original, which has remained wildly popular since the first one was launched in 1972. The new interpretation is the first yellow-gold coloured DiaStar Original to be fitted with a Ceramos™ bezel.

The aesthetic “bang” of this new DiaStar Original Skeleton watch goes beyond the yellow-gold coloured case. It also features Rado’s much-celebrated Art of Skeletonization, which means that the innovative anthracite-grey coated version of the R808 automatic calibre is on full display through the sapphire crystal, both on the front and back of the case. The “Rado” and “DiaStar” logos are creatively printed on the inside of the front crystal. The movement, which has been thoroughly tested in five different positions, is equipped with a Nivachron™ balance hairspring, making it particularly resistant to the influence of the magnetic fields that are increasingly a part of our daily lives. The R808 movement offers a power reserve of 80 hours. The watch is water resistant to 10 bar / 100 metres.

The black dial, offered in sharp contrast to the case and the bezel, features a white printed minute track and flying yellow-gold coloured indexes which, like the hour and minute hands, are coated with white Super-LumiNova®, offering great legibility in all reading conditions. The dial is also enhanced with a gold-coloured Rado anchor symbol on a red background. This DiaStar Original Skeleton is presented in a comfortable polished and brushed yellow-gold coloured PVD coated stainless steel bracelet with a triple fold clasp and Rado’s EasyClip system.

Like the other watches in the updated DiaStar Original collection, this yellow-gold coloured model communicates the radical design DNA of its famous ancestor with a refined shape that is at once muscular and elegantly contoured. With its dramatic skeletonised R808 movement, its heritage case, and its Ceramos™ bezel, it is a breath-taking manifestation of the vision that always drove Rado’s founders: “If we can imagine it, we can make it. And if we can make it, we will.” We could. And we did.
