Rado x Ash Barty Foundation

Ash Barty and Rado mark the launch of the Ash Barty Foundation with surprise donation to Toowomba community.
Rado was proud to be part of a special event dedicated to the official launch of the Ash Barty Foundation (AB Foundation) on the 15th of January at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club in Australia.

In one of the AB Foundation’s first initiatives, Ash and Rado paired up to surprise children in the Toowoomba region with a generous donation of tennis equipment. The young students from Toowoomba East State School and Toowoomba Anglican School were delighted when the Australian superstar personally presented them with Ash Barty HEAD Junior racquets at the Toowoomba Tennis Club, before helping them test their new gear on court in a special clinic. In addition to the two schools present on the day, new tennis nets were installed at a further six tennis clubs and Ash Barty Junior racquets were sent to all 29 of the primary schools in the region.

Toowoomba is a place that holds fond memories for Ash Barty. As a junior, she won the Easter tournament there, and frequently played in the local Pro Tour events, usually travelling with her family to compete. Rado’s support of the AB Foundation made it possible to surprise the budding young tennis stars in Toowoomba with a day they will never forget.

In a partnership spanning more than six years, Ash and Rado have collaborated frequently on philanthropic and watchmaking projects. Ash comments,

“Helping young people discover and pursue their own passions is something I feel very strongly about. I fell in love with tennis by chance. With help from the Rado family, we have been able to provide the children of Toowoomba with the opportunity to discover a passion that they can take with them through their life.”

“It’s our ability to work with partners such as Rado that make projects like the Toowoomba Surprise possible. Through our ongoing work through the AB foundation, we hope to provide many more opportunities to similar Aussie communities in the future.”

Rado CEO, Adrian Bosshard echoes the sentiment commenting, “Supporting growth and development opportunities for young people in the game of tennis is a legacy for both Ash, through her Foundation, and Rado, through our YoungStars program. We have already witnessed first-hand the effect that Ash has on the lives of young people in Australia and it’s our privilege to work with her to amplify the reach of the foundation’s activities.”

The Foundation launch featured guest speakers, entertainment, and an auction whose proceeds will go toward supporting the AB Foundation. One lucky bidder took home a specially engraved Rado x Ash Barty Centrix watch, which was presented by Rado CEO Adrian Bosshard who added, “Rado and Ash are a dream team. We are proud to have partnered with her long before she became the world’s top player and we’re thrilled to be able to support an initiative so close to her heart.”

Rado is committed to the next generation

The watch brand Rado is strengthening its partnership with Swiss Tennis by increasingly supporting the young talents of the Swiss tennis federation. To highlight this new collaboration, Adrian Bosshard, CEO of Rado, presented a symbolic check for 50,000 Swiss francs to four young players, who came to represent the Rado Talents Team.

'Tis the season for holiday magic

‘Tis the season for holiday magic and the perfect time to . . . feel the moment!
There is a bit of magic in every holiday season. Think about it. Each one offers a special kind of time travel (and we think a lot about time at Rado). From early December, wherever we go and whatever we do, we are surrounded by sights and sounds that take us back through the years. We remember how, as children, we waited eagerly for the chance to tear open our presents. Regardless of how we celebrated these annual traditions in our own homes, there were  experiences we shared: each minute we waited felt like a day and every hour seemed like a lifetime. It was magical for the grownups as well: somehow, the hustle and bustle and the panic of last-minute planning were finally rewarded by the warmth of time spent with family and friends, the sharing of holiday memories, and some rare and welcome moments of peace.

Rado wants to offer its own bit of seasonal magic to you and to that certain someone in your life. No one can give back the time that’s passed, but two exquisite wristwatches will keep track of it beautifully. Who should think of you – with love – not only when these gifts are opened but with each glance at the time, now and for many years to come? And what could make this gift of time even more memorable? Rado will be happy – at no additional cost – to add a personalized engraving to the case back. And in keeping with the holiday spirit, we’ll also giftwrap the watch and add a card with your own message.

Rado Centrix
The Centrix was warmly embraced when Rado introduced it in 2010 and it has remained a favourite among the brand’s aficionados. It has evolved since that first launch and the new models continue to highlight the materials, the production technology, and the aesthetics that have always defined the brand. This 30.5 mm interpretation features a polished rose-gold-coloured PVD-coated stainless steel case along with highlights in a dark brown that recalls the rich Swiss chocolate we often savour as we celebrate the holidays. The view through the pleasingly rounded sapphire crystal is mesmerizing: a brown facetted lacquer dial delivers a striking 3D effect whose opulence is enhanced by the 12 contrasting Top Wesselton diamonds that mark each hour. The rose-gold-coloured central hour, minute, and seconds hands complete a picture of elegance and warmth. A pair of details sure to appeal to Rado fans: the rose-gold-coloured moving anchor symbol and the crown’s anchor marking are more conspicuous thanks to laser-enhanced detailing. This Rado Centrix is presented on a bracelet crafted from polished rose-gold coloured PVD-coated stainless steel and brown high-tech ceramic middle links.
The beating heart of the Rado Centrix is a calibre R582 automatic movement fitted with an antimagnetic Nivarox™ hairspring, which delivers a power reserve of 48 hours. It is water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).

Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton
The Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton is the perfect gift for anyone on your holiday shopping list who is worthy of a muscular watch that delivers drama and character in equal parts. As its name suggests, it has an intriguing skeleton design that shows the innovative calibre R808 to full advantage. The movement, equipped with an antimagnetic and highly reliable Nivachron™ hairspring, has been fully tested in five positions rather than the usual three, and provides 80 hours of power reserve. This new Captain Cook’s plasma high-tech ceramic case – Rado at its best and purest – makes a powerful aesthetic impact with materials that have already proven themselves to be incredibly robust and equal to the most demanding lifestyle. It is presented on a matching plasma high-tech ceramic bracelet with a row of lighter-shade polished plasma high-tech ceramic links down the centre. The matt-finish plasma monobloc case is
framed by a circular-brushed plasma high-tech ceramic bezel insert that matches the tones of the case and the outer bracelet links. Inside the rotating bezel, a rose-gold-coloured index ring adds contrast, next to the familiar Captain Cook box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces. The glass, with its lightly smoked tint, adds to the intrigue of the watch. The titanium case back is also fitted with a sapphire crystal, for a clear and unobstructed view of the movement and core watch components. The screw-down crown sports the usual Rado brand anchor symbol and, of course, there is also a rose-gold-coloured Rado moving-anchor symbol presented on the dial against a synthetic ruby backplate.

The gift-giving season will be the perfect opportunity to surprise someone with this flagship watch that demonstrates, convincingly, that the Master of Materials is working – now more than ever – at the very peak of its powers.

Rado wishes you and those close to you a happy and magical holiday season and a new year filled with joy, health, love and peace! .

Katrina Kaif’s timeless beauty and international appeal make her the perfect choice to represent Rado's enduring commitment to precision, innovation, and craftsmanship. Known for her versatile talent and charisma, Katrina Kaif embodies the values that Rado holds dear.

Adrian Bosshard, Rado CEO, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Katrina Kaif into the Rado family. Her timeless beauty and global recognition align seamlessly with Rado's core principles. We look forward to this journey of redefining luxury together."

Katrina Kaif also shared her excitement about the partnership, saying, "I am honoured and excited to be associated with Rado, a brand known for its excellence in watchmaking. Rado watches have always fascinated me with their innovative designs and commitment to quality. I look forward to representing this iconic Swiss brand on a global platform."

Ash Barty is the Master of her own Material!

From three grand slams to the joys of motherhood: Ash Barty reflects on her remarkable life in Rado’s Master of My Own Material campaign
When Ash Barty became a Rado Brand Ambassador, she was a talented young tennis player with a focus and determination that brought edge-of-the-seat excitement to every match. In time, she was ranked number one in the world, a position she held for 114 consecutive weeks before announcing her retirement from the game in March of 2022. Ash’s extraordinary natural attributes – her skill, her quiet confidence, and her authenticity – underpinned a history-making career for the Australian superstar. And they resonated with Rado, whose timepieces are defined by complementary characteristics: reliability, accuracy, and a relentless commitment to innovation.

Thanks to her personal passion, her drive, and her flair, Ash remains an inspiration around the world, and Rado is proud that she remains a Brand Ambassador and an important part of the family.

Ash Barty has recently been featured in Rado’s “Master of my own material” campaign, a video series that includes some of the Swiss watch brand’s most celebrated ambassadors and tennis stars. In her video, Ash talks about her life after tennis, including the thrill of helping young tennis players through the Ash Barty Foundation, as well as what she describes as “absolutely the best and the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done”: motherhood.

She also recalls her long-time partnership with the Rado family and remembers the first time she owned one of the brand’s watches. “I fell in love with Rado timepieces when I was quite young and bought myself my first Centrix as a reward after winning a tournament. It felt elegant and precise, and I still love to wear it now. It brings back happy memories of all my hard work leading up to winning a tournament and being able to reward myself with something I’d always wanted. From there, our relationship has just grown.” It’s fitting that Ash Barty’s Rado journey started with a Centrix. Almost as eye-catching as the Australian superstar is the Rado Centrix Automatic wristwatch she wears in the video. It has a polished rose gold-coloured PVD-coated stainless steel case and a lacquered silver facetted dial with an opulent 3D effect. Adding to the sparkle are 12 Top Wesselton full-cut diamond hour markers.

The dial is also highlighted by Rado’s rose gold-coloured laser-enhanced moving anchor logo along with the words “Rado Automatic” printed in grey. The rose gold-coloured central hour, minute, and seconds hands create a brilliant contrast to the dial. The watch is presented on a polished rose gold-coloured PVD-coated stainless steel bracelet with white high-tech ceramic middle links – a touch that is pure Rado.

The beating heart inside the case is a Rado calibre R763 fitted with an antimagnetic NivachronTM balance spring. It is displayed proudly through the sapphire crystal in the polished stainless steel case back. This outstanding automatic movement has been adjusted for accuracy in five different positions. It offers an 80-hour power reserve, and the watch is water resistant to 5 bar / 50 metres.

Rado is excited about Ash Barty’s contribution to its new campaign. She may no longer be playing in the world’s top tennis events that she dominated so convincingly, but she is – as she has always been – an inspiration and a role model who has done things on her terms. She is clearly a master of her own material.

True Square Open Heart

Your heart know what it wants…..
When the Rado True Square Open Heart watch in white high-tech ceramic and featuring diamond hour markers was introduced, it enjoyed a wildly enthusiastic market reception and it has remained a popular favourite ever since. With its open-worked dial and sparkling diamonds, it’s no wonder that it took the watch world by storm.

The True Square Open Heart line has now been extended with two new models that also feature the eye-catching open-worked dial and diamond hour markers that made their white high-tech ceramic sibling such a hit.

One of the new interpretations wows with a polished black monobloc high-tech ceramic case and crown and a black PVD sandblasted titanium case back fitted with a sapphire crystal. It has a vertically-brushed dial with yellow gold-toned bevels and is delivered on a polished black high-tech ceramic bracelet with a titanium clasp.

The other new watch dazzles with a polished plasma monobloc high-tech ceramic case and a sandblasted titanium case back with a sapphire crystal. This watch has a grey vertically-brushed dial with rose gold-coloured bevels. It is presented on a polished plasma high-tech ceramic bracelet with a titanium clasp.

Like the Rado True Square Open Heart watch in white, the new models have particularly riveting hour markers, which are made of 12 125/130 Top Wesselton diamonds with a combined weight of 0.096 carat. And each of the models – whether in bold black, pure white, or pioneering plasma – is highlighted by Rado’s distinctive moving anchor symbol.

Let’s take in a few more details. A first glance at their dials reveals the watches’ breathtaking aesthetics. The Rado True Square Open Heart offers an unobstructed display through the exquisitely open-worked dial of the Rado calibre R734 with an impressive 80-hour power reserve. The movement itself is a thing of beauty, whose intricate components interact in a way that is as fascinating as it is stunning. Equipped with a Nivachron™ balance spring, it resists the influence of the magnetic fields that have become so prevalent in our daily lives. The movement features circular grain decoration and is secured with a holder enhanced with a Côte de Genève pattern.

Thanks to their light weight and the pleasing feel of ceramic, all the models in the True Square Open Heart collection offer incredible wearer comfort and exquisitely reinforce Rado’s status as Master of Materials. These models with their striking diamond hour markers are water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres) and delivered with a precious stones certificate.

Rado made the True Square Open Heart with you in mind. Whichever model you choose, we know that it will speak to you. And it will say, “Discover, enjoy, and feel the Rado difference!”

True Square Thinline Les Couleurs le Corbusier

The Evocative, Emotional, Eternal Power of Colour
Rado’s True Square Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corbusier collection is a festival of timeless colours, extraordinary design, and remarkable materials. Watchmaking’s undisputed Master of Materials, Rado has compellingly blended features from its popular True Square and True Thinline families and the results are striking. Three new references, limited to 999 pieces each, celebrate the ability of colour to raise spirits and evoke emotions. Of course, the square cases reflect an essential part of Rado’s design history. And the materials? Pure Rado! High-tech ceramic and sapphire crystal. We hope you’ll forgive us just a bit of namedropping. Le Corbusier was one of the most inspiring of all modern architects and designers. His work is considered groundbreaking, innovative, and highly influential in the fields of architecture, design, and urban planning. Born in the heart of Swiss watchmaking country in 1887, he was a visionary architect who played a crucial role in shaping the modernist movement in the 20th century. But he is also fondly remembered for his transcendent theory of colour which, in time, led to the development of an enduring Architectural Polychromy. Le Corbusier created a palette of 63 shades introduced in 1931 and extended in 1959. The great designer identified them as “architectural, naturally harmonious and able to be combined in any way.” And nearly 90 years after he first introduced the colours, they are as relevant as they have ever been. Today, Les Couleurs Suisse SA has the exclusive responsibility, under the auspices of the Fondation Le Corbusier, to license the colours.

But what does all of this have to do with Rado and its watches? First of all, it means that Les Couleurs Suisse SA has assigned the license to the Lengnau-based watch brand to introduce the colours in its ceramics, a challenging process that the Master of Materials took on enthusiastically.

After all, colour is at the heart of what we’re talking about here. Think about it: what’s the first thing that catches your eye when you look at a watch? Most people, regardless of their own connections to watches, will start with “the colour”. It makes sense. Le Corbusier himself said, “Colour is an incredibly effective triggering tool. It is a factor of our existence.”

And it is these colours, along with future-forward design, cutting-edge materials, and world-class watchmaking finesse, that define the watches in the Rado True Square Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corbusier line. It also marks the first time Rado has combined colourful ceramic elements in a single timepiece. Let’s meet your next watch.

There are three eye-catching interpretations in the new line. Each one offers the quality and performance that defines every Rado watch. And as you would expect, the brand lives up to its reputation as Master of Materials. What sets these watches apart from all others is their bold but subtle combination of seductive, understated colours.

One is presented with an iron grey matt high-tech ceramic monobloc case and crown. On display through its sapphire crystal is an iron grey sun-brushed dial with slightly greyed English green printed indexes and hands, along with the Rado logo. It is presented on an iron grey matt high-tech ceramic bracelet with mid-links in slightly greyed English green ceramic and a PVD-coated titanium threefold clasp.

With a grey brown natural umber matt high-tech monobloc ceramic case, the second reference makes a calm but compelling colour statement. The grey brown natural umber sun-brushed dial perfectly complements the case, as does the grey brown natural umber and cream white matt high-tech ceramic bracelet with a PVD-coated titanium threefold clasp.

The third member of the True Square Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corbusier line is a bold expression of watchmaking’s classic colour. It has an ivory black matt high-tech monobloc ceramic case and crown and a tone-on-tone sun-brushed black dial. Its ivory black high-tech ceramic bracelet perfectly matches the case, and ivory black printed indexes and the Rado logo round out the presentation.

The cases for each of the models measure a discreet 37 x 43.3 mm and are only 5.0 mm thick. These dimensions, along with the full high-tech ceramic construction, offer remarkable wearer comfort. The casebacks also deserve special mention: digitally printed on the sapphire crystal are the iconic Le Corbusier colours strips along with the words LE CORBUSIER signature POLYCHROMIE ARCHITECTURALE and LIMITED EDITION ONE OF 999, a confirmation of the series size.

And for true aficionados, Rado has created something very special indeed: a striking Collector’s Box featuring a new True Square Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corbusier timepiece in classic black, presented in the joyful company of eight round Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corbusier models from the current collection. This explosive blend of colour, extraordinary design and high-tech materials is limited to 99 pieces. If you’re just starting your collection, you’ll be happy to know that each of these watches is available individually.

Inspired by the uniquely chromatic vision of one of the world’s great designers, the new Rado True Square Thinline Les Couleurs™ Le Corbusier watches are sublime expressions of the prowess of a watch brand – truly, the Master of Materials – that never stops pushing its own boundaries. But Rado is looking forward to passing the ultimate test: your reaction when you experience one on your own wrist.

Captain Cook x Cameron Norrie Limited Edition

A celebration of tennis and one of its brightest stars
Cameron Norrie has been thrilling tennis fans in the United Kingdom and around the world with his competitive, aggressive style of play and with his perseverance, determination, and self-belief. He joined the Rado YoungStars team in 2021, but quickly eclipsed that status, breaking into the top ten in the ATP rankings in 2022. He consistently numbers among the world’s 15 best. Now, Rado has announced the launch of its Captain Cook x Cameron Norrie Limited Edition watch, created in partnership with one of tennis’s most compelling stars.

Cameron worked with the Rado team on the creation of the new watch and says, “I’m honoured to release my first limited edition watch with Rado. It’s been exciting collaborating on the design, and announcing the timepiece during the grass court season in the United Kingdom brings it all together. It’s certainly perfect timing.”

Perfect timing indeed! The Captain Cook x Cameron Norrie Limited Edition offers fans a chance to wear a special model of a Rado icon designed in close collaboration with one of tennis’s most dynamic players.

The Captain Cook x Cameron Norrie Limited Edition features a 42mm polished stainless steel case and crown and a polished stainless steel rotating bezel with a polished green high-tech ceramic bezel insert with engraved numbers and markers in matt white Super-LumiNova®.

The colour of the bezel insert is perfectly complemented by the green to white gradient dial on display through the box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. Rado’s familiar moving anchor symbol is tastefully located on a purple backplate between the 12 o’clock position and the centre of the dial. The grey central hour and minute hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova® and the tip of the central seconds hand is coated in yellow Super-LumiNova®, a playful nod to the colour of tennis balls. The sport is also subtly referenced by a green flange with yellow Super-LumiNova® dots at the 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, 8 o’clock and 12 o’clock positions, corresponding neatly to tennis’s unique “15/30/40/game” scoring convention.

It is presented on a polished and brushed stainless steel bracelet with a titanium three-fold clasp and Rado’s innovative EasyClip system. A pair of strap options is available including a classic black leather strap with a stainless steel extendable folding clasp or a green and white NATO-style textile strap. The polished screw down stainless steel caseback has a tinted sapphire crystal that features Cameron Norrie’s silver-coloured signature. Engraved on the caseback are the words LIMITED EDITION, ONE OUT OF 823, a reference to the limited-edition series size, which was chosen to reflect the tennis star’s birthday, August 23rd.

Powering the Rado Captain Cook x Cameron Norrie Limited Edition is a Rado calibre R763, an automatic movement that has been adjusted in five positions. It is equipped with a Nivachron™ balance spring, which makes the watch particularly resistant to the magnetic fields that are increasingly a part of our daily lives. This striking timepiece, which has an impressive 80-hour power reserve, is water resistant to 30 bar (300 metres). The watch is delivered with a green leather pouch highlighted by Cameron’s signature, along with a Limited Edition Certificate.

Advantage, Rado: A passion for a game that reflects our values
Rado has been actively involved in the world of tennis since 1985. It installed its first corner clocks at the Swiss Open in Gstaad and has been one of the sport’s leading timekeepers ever since. To this day, partnerships with tennis tournaments around the world remain an important part of Rado’s brand identity.

And with its YoungStar programme, Rado has partnered with promising tennis talents, accompanying them in their pursuit of perfection and their demonstration of endurance, strength of character, and dynamism – the values that define Rado. The Swiss watch brand’s CEO, Adrian Bosshard, himself a passionate tennis fan and former professional athlete, says, "Tennis is the sporting expression of the very things that define Rado: relentless determination and our unbreakable will to test our limits again and again. And Cameron perfectly represents this attitude. He is driven to deliver an inspired performance in every match, on every surface, against every competitor.”

The Power of Green

The power of green
Calm and refreshing at once, green is the colour of growth, joie de vivre and harmony. Renowned Swiss watchmaker Rado explores this enchanting hue across a range of alluring shades and tones. Its green-dial watches capture the essence of nature and carry it to the wrist. Synonymous with material innovation and design excellence, Rado invites watch lovers everywhere to discover the surprising emotional power of green.

The iconic Rado Captain Cook Bronze appears in this adventurous version with a deep green dial encased in the world’s oldest man-made alloy, bronze, and framed by a bezel with a polished green high-tech ceramic insert. Fitted with a Swiss made automatic movement with 80-hour power reserve and worn with a rugged NATO strap, it’s an elegant combination of vintage looks and modern materials.

For contemporary explorers of a sustainable lifestyle, this 42 mm Captain Cook presents a striking gradient dial shading from green at the centre into black at the edges. Highly versatile, sporty and elegant at once, it’s powered by a state-of-the-art Swiss automatic movement with a Nivachron hairspring for enhanced resistance and long-term precision. Worn with a bicolour stainless steel bracelet, it’s perfect for a casual outing or a night on the town.

The DiaStar Original has the features and functions all Rado connoisseurs know and love, enhanced in this version by a dial in subtly different shades of green brushed in two directions. While the original DiaStar saw uniquely scratch-
resistant “hardmetal” combined for the first time in a watch with sapphire crystal, today’s Original uses contemporary materials to pay tribute to an icon of modern design.

True Secret’s evergreen dial plays with light, shading from dark to light green around an openwork window – a charming invitation to explore the secrets at its heart. Featuring a Swiss Made automatic calibre and a power reserve up to 80 hours, this enchanting green beauty is worn with a plasma high-tech ceramic link bracelet.

A classic soft-cornered square case frames the luxurious green dial, perfectly complemented by the refined greys of the plasma high-tech ceramic case and bracelet. Elegance at first glance captures the eye and makes wearing the Rado True Square Automatic a true pleasure.

Rado's selection of green dial watches tells an engaging story of discovery. Each model explores the colour, sparking different emotions in different ways. From the deep greens of the Captain Cook and refined shadings of the Original to the rich hues of the True Square and True Round Secret dials, these high-quality timepieces underscore Rado's commitment to excellence in every aspect of the watchmaker’s craft.

DiaStar Original Skeleton

WE COULD MAKE IT, SO WE DID.
In contrast with other designs of the era, the 1962 DiaStar was a stunning piece of work, breaking new ground. Its unusual and very distinctive shape, its extremely resistant tungsten-carbide case, became signature elements and built the watch a strong following through the decades. The timepiece expressed in the most unequivocal way, the motto of Rado's founders "If we can imagine it, we can make it. And if we can make it, we will." To mark the 60th anniversary of this extraordinary watch, the case saw a change from hardmetal to Rado CeramosTM in 2022, and one might say that the revolutionary watch became an evolutionary icon. The design continued its unrelenting journey and progress in the true spirit of Rado's quest as Master of Materials.

The latest edition continues this pioneering work, alongside other product lines, extending Rado's creative concept "The Art of Skeletonisation" and featuring yet another variant of the high-quality R808 automatic calibre, anthracite-grey coated in this version and complemented by various elements in its workings, for a lovely visual dance of contrasts. Thanks to sapphire crystal windows on both front and back, the gorgeous automatic movement can be appreciated in full technical elegance, with no need whatsoever to rush, as the new DiaStar Original Skeleton provides 80 hours of power reserve. An antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring ensures that everything stays extremely precise and reliable, in a movement that has been tested in a full five positions.

The new model echoes the overall character of its forebears, but the current shape is far more refined, its contours a clear reflection of a precise design ambition. The original DiaStar was unquestionably virile, but the latest model reflects a true coming of age; it remains masculine but is also very original and comfortably stylish. Its open structure, and the impressive R808 skeleton movement give a lighter, airier note to the new DiaStar Original, a perfect design counterpoint inside the visual frame created by the CeramosTM bezel. The darker tone is further set off by select coloured elements inside the movement, or bicolour components such as the hands and indices, to add tremendous richness of contrast throughout, in an interesting composition that every watch-lover will appreciate. The floating indices, which add to the open nature of the design, and the hour and minute hands are treated with white Super-LumiNova®, for great readability even in low-light conditions.

No detail was left untouched in the design phase, from smaller ones such as the clever shape of the seconds sweeper to the gorgeous front sapphire crystal, facetted on the external face with a totally eyecatching square motif reminiscent of an earlier model and treated with anti-reflective coating on the inside face. The bracelet is a very comfortable triple-row type in polished stainless steel, with an H-link design and attractive, alternating polished/brushed elements. It is fastened by a triple-fold stainless-steel buckle for reliable safety.

True Thinline x Great Gardens of the World

THREE MORE CHAPTERS IN A CAPTIVATING STORY
Spontaneous and ever-changing, Nature has been sparking human creativity and talent in every field since the beginning of time. When Rado and the Great Gardens of the World organisation started their collaboration, as an opponunity to unite their appreciation of outstanding design and beauty, a whole new range of textures and shapes found their way into Rado's watchmaking work. Elements from the organic world enhanced the creativity of talented watch designers.

The latest series of timepieces from this inspired collaboration pulls exquisite natural motifs from three quite-different plants into stunningly original dial designs. Each was chosen for the individual timepiece to match the mood and shade of its True Thinline monobloc high-tech ceramic case, in black, white or plasma grey. The plants selected — the Hawaiian Loulu Lelo, the Chilean Araucaria and the Yemeni Draaon Blood Tree —all presently on the endangered species list, bring sensuality and a lovely visual rhythm to the individual designs.

Chapter 8, the first in the new series, unites a polished black case with a matching dial that exudes pure mystery and whose pleasing, orderly structure imitates the pleated leaves of the Loulu Lelo. The model uses the same premium Rado R766 movement as the other two chapters, providing a generous power reserve of 64 hours. All models in the new series are equipped with a Nivachron’" antimagnetic hairspring, for highly reliable precision. The mood of the dial, guarded by a box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti- reflective coating on both faces, strikes perfect harmony next to the dark case. A metallised gold-coloured Rado logo adds a tasteful touch on the inside of the watch glass.

The next model in the series, Chapter 9, is a brilliant reflection of the designer's visual inspiration in connection with the Araucaria tree. The white high-tech ceramic case offers a different mood — airy, peaceful and unique, enhanced by a white mother-of-pearl dial engraved to recall the fresh, almost playful leaf outlines of the rare Chilean tree. The smooth contours of high-tech ceramic — panicularly sensuous and palpable in white, are a clever contrast to the pointed extremities of the tree leaves, especially against the cool, radiant mother-of-pearl, a sman look that watch-lovers will appreciate. As do the other chapters, the watch carries a titanium case back with a sapphire crystal window digitally printed with the mention "GREAT GARDENS OF THE WORLD" and the timepiece's chapter number. A subtle motif showing the growth rings of a large, noble tree trunk in cross-section, is used as a background on the case-back, and repeated on the display boxes of the collector's trio sets and the special edition card included with the timepieces.

Last but not least in the lineup, Chapter 10 features a plasma high-tech ceramic monobloc case, in those mysterious grey tones typical of plasma treatment. The process, launched in an extreme environment nearing 20,000°C — many times the temperature found at the Sun's surface — is then maintained at around 1000°C for the full duration of the treatment. In Chapter 10, the dial is a splendid creation in two layers where a rose-gold-coloured backplate shows through a skeletonised top layer, smartly cut out in organic shapes reminiscent of the mesmerising, intricately entangled branches of the Yemeni Dragon Blood Tree. The hour/minute hands carry a pink-gold colour, for a beautiful touch that truly shows the watchmaker's finest anistry. All three chapters are equipped with their own matching, polished high-tech ceramic bracelet, fastened by a reliable, triple-fold titanium clasp. The watches are all water-resistant up to 3 bar (30 m) and the outstanding precision of their automatic calibre is confirmed by testing in a full five positions, rather than the usual three. Nature at its best, most beautiful and unwaveringly precise.

Chapters 8, 9 and 10 of this new Rado "Great Gardens of the World" product line are available individually or as a trio in a special collemor's display-box edition, limited to 99 units.

Master of Materials

Wonderful things can be said, quite justifiably, about the special, unmistakable feel of Rado High-Tech Ceramic, under human touch.

Wonderful things can be said, quite justifiably, about the special, unmistakable feel of Rado High-Tech Ceramic, under human touch. Yet, this highly innovative product is just one of many iconic markers along the fascinating journey travelled by the "Master of Materials", turning Rado's timeless motto from dream to reality: "If we can imagine it, we can make it. And if we can make it, we will." Featuring the iconic Captain Cook Limited Edition model, the brand has produced a new video that details with brilliant visual poetry and atmosphere, the symbolic coming together of materials and inspiration, to bring that timepiece to life. The film highlights why watch lovers everywhere say, about high-tech ceramic, that it "feels like nothing else". Absolutely. Created from the timeless minerals of earliest stars and shaped by human innovation, high-tech ceramic is totally unique.

Since its founding over a century ago, Rado has continuously widened the search for new alloys and materials to add to its watch designs and production. Bringing together the best of engineering, chemistry and physics has allowed the brand to create landmark alloys or introduce existing ones into their designs, such as the use of tungsten carbide "Hardmetal" in their 1962 DiaStar 1 model, the first watch ever to bring together a scratch-proof case and a sapphire crystal glass. Those were truly exceptional materials in the early Sixties, and production itself required tremendous innovation, partly responsible for the remarkable and quite unique shape of the first DiaStar. Innovation in materials was breeding synergies and bringing about new technics, improving every facet of production at Rado.

While such exceptional, noble materials were finding their way into product lines, research was ongoing, into further materials and innovation. Some of the most creative of these processes involved clever technical improvements such as the addition of polymer binding agents to allow injection-moulding, or the use of a titanium-nitride-based CVD treatment to create extremely resistant finishes that brilliantly emulated gold or other similar alloys. Simultaneously, Rado continued to raise the standards in extremely resistant sapphire crystal production, milling and shaping. Among the most iconic timepieces to feature such exquisite work were the Captain Cook series with their distinctive box-shaped glass, at once a perfect match for the rugged character of the watch and the gorgeous geometrics that compose the design.

While the Nineties saw strong exploration in technics and materials aiming to achieve permanent, intrinsic colour for Rado's "High-Tech Ceramic" introduced in 1986, it was really the turn into the current millennium that asserted the brand's expertise in the field of coloured ceramics. Out of the darker, simpler colours of the early years suddenly emerged beautiful pastel shades and delightful, brilliant colours that complemented the material's sensuous feel. What had begun as a mostly monochromatic material began to speak and sing in a variety of colours, counting more than 20 at present, much to the market's predictable delight. Early conversation had focused largely on an interesting grey material with impressive properties, as was the case with "Hardmetal" but suddenly new ones came downstream, with CeramosTM and then High-Tech Ceramic and its broad range of colours. Not only were the latest watches incredibly lightweight and sensuous to touch, but they were showing up in fabulous colours, including all those radiant, polychromatic shades in the Le Corbusier product line. Somehow, thanks to the magic of the human senses, the colours appeared to enhance yet further the perception and feel of that exquisite high-tech ceramic texture. Gold colour and rose-gold and many other durable and credible metallic-looking finishes arrived, along with ingenious production technics such as injection-moulding and plasma and a mysterious sapphire-crystal breeding process, to make entire lines of breathtaking timepieces possible, from the "Master of Materials".

Discover a world of blue with Rado

Discover a world of blue with Rado
When it comes to blue watches, Rado brings the colour to life. Dials in captivating shades of blue are at the heart of the models presented below. Each takes a different approach to the colour, calling up a world of enchanting emotions.

The brand’s iconic DiaStar Original features a dial in a scintillating incarnation of blue. Its charm is due in no small part to an exquisitely textured surface finished with alternating vertical and horizontal brushwork stretching across the dial – a sublime enhancement of the DiaStar Original’s inimitable design.

The True Square Open Heart Automatic is distinguished by its distinctive skeleton design, with the face of the watch radically cut back to reveal the intricate
automatic movement inside. In a fine example of the Art of Skeletonisation, the vertically brushed dial in blue plays a vital role in framing fascinating images of the mechanism in motion.

The Captain Cook High Tech Ceramic Diver with navy blue sunray dial evokes the power of the world’s great oceans. Framed by a matt plasma high-tech ceramic case and bracelet in complementary tones, the dial mirrors the ever-changing light at sea, the skies above and the mysteries below.

The indomitable Captain Cook Chronograph explores the nature of time in this superb variant in stainless steel. The silver-to-blue gradient dial and recessed chrono counters in a rich dark blue hue stand in satisfying contrast to rhodium-coloured hands and indexes and red details. The stainless steel bracelet with satin-brushed middle links is easily exchanged for a dark blue leather or rugged NATO fabric strap.

The Rado True Secret presents an intriguing variation on a blue theme: the sunray dial presents a subtle colour gradient leading the eye from the dark blue rim to the diamond indexes and the lighter blues surrounding the open window at 12 o’clock. The window reveals the balance spring at the heart of the watch, peeking out from behind the movement jewels and finely finished components.

The splendid Rado HyperChrome 1314 holds nothing back, flaunting top-class diamonds at all hours and a sunray-finish dial in a rich cobalt blue. Distinctive and elegant, this diamond-starred blue timepiece speaks of an assured sense of style and exquisite taste. Framed by a polished plasma high-tech ceramic case and bracelet, the blue dial makes all the difference.

For Rado, blue dials are the face of a fascinating mechanical world beneath the surface. Elegant elements of harmonious design, there is always more: blue is a world of heartfelt emotions.

Rado & Tennis - Advantage, Rado

Whether played on grass, clay or hard court, in tennis even the smallest advantage can be decisive. Swiss watchmaker Rado takes a similar approach to its timepieces, all of which offer advantages in terms of material, design and features that make them unique. Endurance, strength of character, dynamism and the consistent pursuit of perfection – these are the core values that Rado shares with tennis, making the two partners an unbeatable team. This strong connection has continued for almost four decades and is evident in Rado's active involvement as Official Timekeeper and Partner at many leading tournaments around the world, as well as in the brand’s support for talented young players. For Adrian Bosshard, Rado and tennis make a perfect match. A passionate tennis fan and former professional athlete himself, the Swiss watchmaker’s CEO says: "This sport is an ideal symbol of our key values, because what makes the difference in tennis is relentless determination – the unbreakable will to test one’s limits again and again. The founders of Rado were already certain: If we can imagine it, we can make it. And if we can make it, we will! And this watchword continues to inspire us today. What other sport could represent this attitude better than tennis? On the court, the greatest challenge isn’t your competitor on the other side of the net, but you yourself – and your drive to improve your performance with every match.”

Tournaments and all-around presence on the courts
Rado's involvement in tennis began in 1985 with its first appearance as Title Sponsor at the Swiss Open Gstaad, Switzerland's oldest tennis tournament. Recalling its partnership in the eighties and nineties, in 2022 Rado returned to the legendary courts in the Bernese Oberland. Rado has also taken up its role as Official Timekeeper at a number of ATP Tour tennis tournaments, including Abierto Mexicano Acapulco (Mexican Open), Erste Bank Open in Vienna, Swiss Indoors in Basel, Open Parc Auvergne-RhôneAlpes in Lyon und Mubadala Citi Open in Washington.

As Official Timekeeper, Rado is at the heart of the action with every serve, volley and baseline duel. The precision timing systems leave nothing to chance and ensure that every moment counts. Installed in highprofile positions on the court, the brand’s distinctive corner clocks record every moment of every match. Rado is also present off-court with a range of services, including the Rado Wall and Tower Clocks that allow spectators to keep an eye on the time until the next match, and the Rado Smash Corner, where fans can measure the speed of their serve.

Rado and Tennis
Rado can trace its close association with tennis back to 1985, when it installed its first corner clocks at the Swiss Open in Gstaad. It has remained one of the sport’s leading timekeepers ever since. To this day, Rado’s partnerships with leading tennis events around the world remain an important part of its brand identity. In fact, Rado’s commitment to tennis goes far beyond timekeeping. Through its YoungStar program, the brand has partnered with some of the most promising talents in the game, accompanying them every step of the way in their pursuit of perfection and their demonstration of endurance, strength of character, and dynamism – the very values that define Rado itself. Some of these inspiring players have gone on to be superstars and tennis luminaries.

The Rado Captain Cook High Tech Ceramic Skeleton watch
Along with its timekeeping and sponsorship activities, Rado will highlight one of the year’s most talked-about watches at the Mubadala Citi DC Open, the Captain Cook High Tech Ceramic Skeleton watch. Its plasma high-tech ceramic matt monobloc case offers the surface resistance watch aficionados expect from Rado, and a glance at the dial offers an unobstructed view of the innovative skeletonized R808 movement, which has been fully tested in five positions and which offers a power reserve of some 80 hours.

Inside the rotatable bezel, a warm and bright rose-gold-colored index ring adds contrast, next to the familiar Captain Cook box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces. The sapphire crystal’s lightly smoked tint enhances the watch’s almost otherworldly feel and adds to the legibility of the dial, complementing the plasma grey and rose-gold-color touches throughout. A look at the titanium caseback is every bit as rewarding: it also has a sapphire crystal that offers a clear and unobstructed view of the movement and the core watch components. The screw-in crown sports the familiar Rado brand anchor symbol.

The understated dial features simple geometric indices and hour, minute and second hands, treated with Super-LumiNova®, which enhances readability in all lighting conditions. The trademark Rado moving-anchor symbol features a smart, tasteful deep-red background color along with the logo, name and water-resistance indications. Presented on a plasma high-tech ceramic bracelet with a triple-fold clasp and Ceramos™ pushbuttons, the Rado Captain Cook HTC Skeleton is water resistant to 30 bar (300 meters).

Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton

The Fiery New Shades of Exploration
Bonn in fiery places of eternal drama and power, the latest Captain Cook extends the product line with a dashing new skeleton design that showcases its innovative R808 movement, a marvel of contrasts, know- how and clever geometry. First introduced in a variety of finishes and Captain Cook models, the R808 now headlines the "Art of Skeletonisation" series at Rado, with tasteful variants in finishing that give the different product lines where it is featured, a distincdy collectible feel.

With uncompromising character, the new watch brings together the virile, primal forces of the mineral world, into a plasma high-tech ceramic creation of utmost reliability, precision and originality. The new Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton is a natural for the wrists of uncompromising explorers, in the wild or in urban settings, wishing to celebrate their own uniqueness in a world of intense action, passion and challenge.

The new Captain Cook's plasma high-tech ceramic case brings its usual extreme surface resistance and mysterious, deep anthracite shades to the new skeleton variant of the timepiece, alongside a matching plasma high-tech ceramic bracelet with a row of lighter-shade links down the centre. The superb matt- finish monobloc case is fram ed by a circular-brushed plasma high-tech ceramic bezel insert that m atches the tones of the case and the outer bracelet links. Inside the rather sport-chic rotatable bezel, a warm and bright rose-gold-coloured index ring adds contrast, next to the fam iliar Captain Cook box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces. In this latest model, the glass presents a lightly smoked tint in harmony with the somewhat mysterious feel of the watch. It also complements the delightful plasma grey and rose-gold-colour touches throughout. On the flip side, the titanium case-back also carries a sapphire crystal, for a clear and unobstructed view of the movement and core watch components. The screw-in crown sports the usual Rado brand anchor symbol.

Rado reaffirms its position as definitive Master of Materials with this new case, sublimated in a fiery environment where plasma temperatures reach roughly four times those found on the sun's surface. Inside is a Rado automatic calibre R808 skeleton movement with smart new geometry and components shaded in different tones, to allow a distinct view of the various parts, in details well-known to fans of complex architecture or intricate mechanisms. Special finishing touches include a new, horizontally-brushed platine and a rose-gold-coloured minute-wheel bridge, boldly visible inside that wider dial window that watch- lovers will appreciate, alongside the many chromatic contrasts. The movement, equipped with an anti- magnetic and highly reliable NivachronTM hairspring, has been fully tested in five positions rather than the usual three, and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve.

The dial itself is intentionally spartan, with simple geometric indices and hour, minute and second hands, treated where applicable with Super-LumiNova^ to enhance readability in low-light conditions. Keeping visual obstructions to a minimum allows the eye to savour the beauty of the skeleton movement in operation. The trademark Rado moving-anchor symbol features a smart, tasteful deep-red background colour along with the customary logo, name and water-resistance depth indications.

The watch is equipped with a titanium triple-fold buckle and CeramosTM push-buttons, and comes in standard Rado packaging.

Centrix

It is no coincidence that the Rado Centrix, with its evocative and sensuous contours, brings to mind the breathtaking, windswept beauty of the desert. The potent, mysterious grace of minerals and sand sculpted by time, in shades of gold, ochre and brown. Such imagery is familiar ground for the gifted watchmaker inventing art from high-tech ceramic, sapphire crystal and precision movements. The new Centrix has much evolved since its introduction in 2010, and continues to highlight the Master of Materials' relentless research in new elements, innovative production technics and harmonious aesthetics. Today's Centrix is the most elegant yet, with unmatched precision and reliability thanks to state-of-the-art movements in both the automatic and quartz versions of the product line.

Remarkable aspects of the new Centrix come clear at first glance. The watch is even more elegant with its gently rounded contours—an absolute delight to human touch. High-tech ceramic wears many different looks but next to skin, it is unmistakable: light, cool, yet incredibly resistant. The latest Centrix brings a softer, more sensuous design that whispers of dunes and desert memories. It comes in different sizes, as did the earlier line, but in slightly larger, more expressive dimensions, with a wider dial opening topped by a glass that runs fully to case edge. The small series is 30.5 mm in diameter while the larger is a proud and irresistible 39.5 mm, full of luxurious gusto. Everywhere, the new Centrix embodies the essence and meaning of the adage "Simplicity is the soul of elegance."

One gorgeous detail spotted immediately is the new, slightly spherical and rounded-edge sapphire crystal that simply invites touch. The former sharp edge has been replaced by a softer, rounded crystal that is bonded flush with the case, pleasing to both hand and eye. Anti-reflective coating has been applied to both faces of the glass. The treatment allows for a clear view of the dial — a stunning piece of watch-designer craft, with its radial, sunray texture, made level after stamping by a layer of lacquer which renders a perfectly smooth, flat surface. The dial comes either in a dark, elegant finish, or in a silver shade where the sunray surface is particularly enticing to the eye. Both light and dark versions provide a fabulous backdrop to the indices available on the different models.

The Rado logo is larger in the new Centrix than previously, while the "Jubilé" inscription makes a comeback on models that carry precious stones on their indices. Laser-enhanced detailing has been added to the crown's anchor-marking to make it more visible. The vertical sides of the case are no longer plainly cylindrical but beautifully rounded, to flow and match the gentler overall design and smoothly merge into a redesigned case back, with a new geometry and fewer markings, as well as a laser-engraved serial number. The case back includes a sapphire crystal on all automatic models, to allow glances inward at the high-quality NivachronTM-hairspring movement and its self-winder mass. Power reserve is 48 hours and 80 hours, respectively, in the smaller and larger models, with precision tested in a full five positions. The quartz versions of the Centrix include their own compelling state-of-the-art features, with computer-chip technology, for instance, that automatically detects and responds to sudden movement or shock, and makes the necessary corrections, to ensure reliable time. These quartz units also offer tremendous accuracy, unaffected by changes in temperature or moisture.

Visual harmony has been finely revisited at every stage of the design process, with lugs and bracelet elements gracefully adapted to case contours throughout. A triple-fold stainless-steel buckle has reliably replaced the former closure, for added security on the new Centrix, your upcoming favourite

True Square Skeleton

Fascinating Views of Intricate Beauty
Swiss watchmaker Rado is renowned for its mastery of materials and innovative designs. A perfect example is the True Square collection, which premiered under the motto: “The shape of things to come.” First up were the True Square and True Square Open Heart, featuring soft-cornered square cases framing elegant and intriguing dials. Today Rado premieres the True Square Skeleton, compelling new proof of the brand’s proud statement: “We don’t just know square watches, we invented them!”

Cast in the brand’s signature black, plasma and white monobloc high-tech ceramic, three new references present a split-level dial with a cut-away top plate offering fascinating views of the precisely skeletonized R808 automatic movement. In the black and plasma versions, the anthracite coating of the minute wheel bridge and main platine complements the nickel colour of the bottom dial plate and its Côtes de Genève decoration. Similarly, the gold-coloured centre wheel bridge in the white version captures attention and invites the viewer to explore the intricate beauty of the mechanism inside.

Hands and indexes are coated in rose gold colour on the black, silver on the plasma, and yellow gold colour on the white model. All three versions protect the dial with a flat sapphire crystal, anti-reflective on both faces, and a sapphire crystal set within the sandblasted titanium case back offers additional views of Rado’s new R808 automatic calibre. The R808 is fitted with an antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring for enhanced resistance to shock, temperature fluctuations and magnetic fields, and features an 80-hour power reserve. Testing in five different positions confirms the built-in accuracy of the watch.

The True Square Skeleton takes up the iconic square look that has long been closely associated with Rado, enhanced by a splendid example of the “Art of Skeletonisation”. All references present the collection’s clear, spare design. Parallel horizontal lines divide the dial into three sections, highlighting geometric harmonies and key parts of the movement. The upper section leads the eye to the heart of the watch – the balance and its NivachronTM hairspring, while the central section presents the hands, minute wheel bridge and movement jewels, and the bottom section reveals the barrel linked with the power reserve. The black, plasma and white monobloc high-tech ceramic cases are worn with high-tech ceramic link bracelets in the same shades, for exceptional comfort, lightness and beauty.

signature. Delightful.

The new Rado Captain Cook x Marina Hoermanseder Heartbeat is a clear invitation to celebrate all that everyone loves about Berlin's Kreuzberg district and uniqueness in all things. Highlighting that fascinating
rhythm that keeps us all alive and its distant cousin, the ultra-precise modern automatic movement, the new watch features a colourful rainbow of eight precious stones and applied indices, to decorate a bright and expressive dial whose surface echoes the white high-tech ceramic insert in its rotating bezel. The latter's laser-engraved, gold-coloured metallised markers and numerals add the perfect accompaniment to the polished yellow-gold-coloured PVD coating of the stainless steel case and bezel. The dial and gold-coloured moving-anchor symbol with silver-coloured backplate, dark grey Rado and Captain Cook logos are guarded behind that exquisite box-shaped sapphire crystal well-known to Captain Cook product lovers. The crystal is treated with antireflective coating on both faces and the hour/minute hands with white Super-LumiNova®, to maximise readability.

Inside, as to enhance all that originality with a touch of serious watchmaking precision, a Rado R763 automatic movement with 25 jewels, three hands and date window at 3 o'clock keeps things in order. Its NivachronTM anti-magnetic hairspring gives the timepiece 80 hours of power reserve, adjusted for five positions. An additional sapphire crystal glass on the screw-down case back allows curious watch lovers to marvel at the heartbeat workings of this deeply original Marina Hoermanseder X version of the Captain Cook, also water-resistant to 10 bar (100m). The watch is supplied with three different bracelet/strap possibilities. The first is a rice-grain type, polished/brushed yellow-gold-colour PVD-coated stainless steel bracelet with a polished stainless steel triple-fold clasp. An additional black double-length leather (with embossed alligator motif) NATO strap equipped with Marina's trademark buckle in yellow-gold-colour PVD-coated stainless steel. True Square x Ash Barty Limited Edition

Embrace the Journey: Ash Barty and Rado Collaborate on the new True Square Limited Edition

This December, former WTA #1 and 2022 Australian Open Women’s Singles Champion Ash Barty and her long-standing partner, Rado, launch their collaborative Limited-Edition III timepiece. Ash’s skill, patience, quiet confidence, and authentic nature have underpinned a history-making career for the Australian tennis superstar. In the watchmaking world, similar characteristics resonate with the Rado brand, whose timepieces are marked by their reliability, accuracy and ground-breaking use of scratch- resistant high-tech ceramic materials.

An adaptation of the classic True Square in Rado’s signature high-tech ceramic, the Ash Barty Limited Edition III design collaboration signifies new, exciting times for both Ash and the Rado Brand. With the intent to create a feminine, unique watch that will take the wearer from day to night, the timepiece is housed in a light rose high-tech ceramic square case. A white mother-of-pearl dial with rose gold coloured applied indexes gives the piece a luxurious feel, and a cut-out offers an intriguing view of the watch mechanics, a reminder of the hard work behind an illustrious exterior.

A flat sapphire crystal face with anti-reflective coating protects Rado’s premium calibre R734 automatic movement with 80-hour power reserve. The antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring improves reliability by protecting the movement from magnetic fields. While industry standards require testing in 3 positions, Rado tests in 5 different positions, further enhancing its reliable accuracy.

A passionate watch lover, Ash worked collaboratively with the Rado design team through the creative process to bring the timepiece to life. Ash comments:

“Rado’s True Square watches have always been a favourite style for me and feature heavily in my collection, so we decided to use this shape as the basis for the limited edition piece.

We selected a feminine powder pink leather and matching high-tech ceramic case as the foundation for the piece. Adding a white mother of pearl dial with an open-heart keyhole made the unique square setting luxurious, but versatile enough to wear from day to night.

The dial also features a tiny rose gold coloured tennis ball with a jeu, set, match engraving. A beautiful touch and nod to the involvement of both myself and Rado in the world of tennis.

I have loved the experience of co-designing this piece with Rado. It’s allowed me to combine creativity with my love of watches and for me, particularly at this stage in my life, is a reminder to take the time to enjoy every moment of your journey. I hope that everyone will get as much enjoyment out of the piece as I do.” said Ash.

Square watches form an integral part of Rado’s design history. Launching the first timepiece in 1976, Rado’s experimentation with square ceramic watches saw the launch of Ceramica in 1990. Thirty years later, the scratch-resistant material was used to create a square monobloc case using pioneering injection moulding technology, which forms the foundation of this new True Square Limited Edition release in partnership with Ash Barty.

Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Limited Edition

For the first time in full ceramic, apart from the case back, the latest and most innovative Captain Cook yet makes a remarkable entry, with space-age materials throughout and, of course, tasteful stylistic reminders of its proud tradition. Inside, a brand-new automatic movement is sure to tease the heart of true watch lovers, with its finely sculpted, skeletonized platine and exquisite geometry, visual features absolutely matched by the movement's exceptional precision and 80 hours of power reserve. These workings were specially crafted for this Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Limited Edition, with a production run of only 1962 units.

From its inception, the Captain Cook line was associated with strong character and uncompromising innovation in both design and materials. The latest in the series again breaks new ground, with a full- ceramic rotating bezel sporting a black, laser-etched ceramic insert with bright, bold numbers and markers in stylish relief. Next to the matt-black high-tech ceramic case and its slightly smoky sapphire dial surface, the design shows that uncompromising character so much in keeping with well-known, recognizable Captain Cook tradition.

The watch lover's eye is immediately captured. The visual composition is rhythmic and strong, between the bezel markers, numerals, and the dial's large indices behind the box-shaped sapphire crystal so typical of the Captain Cook. The hour and minute hands, visible even in low-light conditions thanks to the Super- LumiNova® treatment and their broad, almost playful shapes, carry the theme onward, for this exquisite timepiece with zero compromise, anywhere. The original Captain Cook has come of age, with the best of its strong visual tradition enhanced by Rado's Art of Ceramic and truly cutting-edge 2022 technology.

Rado's ingenious use of a monobloc design allows for a thinner case than one would have predicted, in such a virile timepiece. Inside, a three-hand, 25-jewel, state-of-the-art R808 movement exceeds standard accuracy test requirements from 3 to 5 positions, thanks to its antimagnetic NivachronTM hairspring and uncompromising Rado production technics. The smoky crystal atmosphere carries over into the PVD- treated titanium case back and its black-tinted sapphire crystal window, allowing a treasured glimpse into the exquisite movement's airy, open, horizontal platine design and its Côtes-de-Genève engraving, as well as the yellow-finished train bridge. Everywhere in the visual design of the new Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Limited Edition, one finds subtle, tasteful contrasts and accents, signs of a product line that has now fully matured. Rarely does a timepiece bring together to such an extent, modern materials technology and the finest in the timepiece designer's art, visible down into the smallest detail. Here, even the automatic movement's oscillating weight echoes the shape of the famous Rado anchor, something that real connoisseurs are sure to notice. Beautifully rounding out the design is a matt-black bracelet in high-tech ceramic, with a titanium triple-fold clasp equipped with ceramic push-buttons. Maturity in the watchmaker's art, from the Master of Materials.

Together in the Season of Light

It’s just around the corner now – a magical season of light, love, and sparkling joy. A time to celebrate the people and moments we care about most. On this precious occasion Rado presents two enchanting versions of its well-loved “True Square Open Heart” timepieces. For men and women in black and white, they are a perfect expression of love and light, and a celebration of life together.

For a man and a woman
With its injection-molded monobloc case and bracelet in glossy black high-tech ceramic, the model for men presents a compelling version of the brand’s iconic square designs, with gently curved corners, sleek dial visuals and fascinating views of the automatic movement in motion within. The gleaming black surfaces appear in powerful contrast to the lightweight, hypoallergenic model for women, executed in immaculate white high-tech ceramic. With golden hands and gilt-edged cut-outs, the dials on both models add an exclusive touch of class. Designed for women with a taste for elegance, the glittering white version features 12 top-class diamonds set to mark the hours.

Motions of the heart
At the heart of these iconic square watches is Rado’s calibre R734 automatic movement, easily admired through the intricate pattern of windows in the dial. The movement and movement holder also feature a number of Swiss watchmaking’s splendid decorative finishes, with the finely crafted balance, gears and polished components at centre stage. In addition to its charm and alluring good looks, the 80-hour power reserve also makes the True Square Open Heart a watch with staying power for everyday life.

A dance of light
In the most fortunate of times, we find happiness in each other’s eyes. In giving and receiving gifts, celebrating the story of our lives together. The holiday season brings a special light, from the diamonds on the dial, from precious memories and present moments. With the True Square Open Heart in black and white, we celebrate our time together.

HRITHIK ROSHAN SPECIAL EDITION

Embrace the volcanic spirit of adventure with Rado and Bollywood megastar Hrithik Roshan for the launch of the Swiss watchmaker’s HRITHIK ROSHAN SPECIAL EDITION.
The new timepiece is a fresh iteration of the iconic Captain Cook in Rado’s signature high-tech ceramic. Paying homage to vintage Captain Cook look and feel, it features a box-shaped sapphire crystal with a unique ‘bubble’ look, designed for men who want to stand out in style. The tinted black crystal protects a cut-away dial offering fascinating views of Rado’s premium calibre 734 automatic movement with 80-hour power reserve. The antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring improves reliability by protecting the movement from magnetic fields, and while industry standards require testing in 3 positions, Rado tests each watch in 5 different positions, further enhancing its reliable accuracy.

A closer look at the new Hrithik Roshan Special Edition shows the case to be a monobloc construction in matt plasma high-tech ceramic. Framing the dial is a rose gold coloured stainless steel turning bezel with plasma high-tech ceramic inlay and rose gold coloured lacquered numbers, markers and triangle. SuperLumiNova® highlights on the rose gold coloured hands and applied indexes stand out in strong contrast against the black dial. The case back in brushed titanium presents a tinted black sapphire crystal embellished with the metallised rose gold coloured script: HRITHIK ROSHAN SPECIAL EDITION. The 43- mm diameter timepiece is held securely on the wrist by a high-tech ceramic 3-row bracelet with matt plasma outer links and polished plasma high-tech ceramic middle links. The rugged new Captain Cook is presented in special packaging and accompanied by a Special Edition certificate.

Hrithik Roshan and Rado have worked together for over a decade, and the Bollywood megastar and Rado ambassador is proud of his enduring relationship with the noted Swiss watchmaker. Speaking of the new Captain Cook High Tech Ceramic Special Edition, Hrithik Roshan said, “Rado has become an inseparable part of my personal style and it gives me a great sense of pride to launch a timepiece with the brand that holds a special place in my heart.”

The renowned Bollywood actor and international celebrity also stars as a fearless adventurer in the Swiss watchmaker’s new campaign video. Hrithik Roshan is first seen at the wheel of an off-road vehicle, with the new Special Edition in full view on his wrist. The landscape is wild and forbidding, a challenge to the adventurer. His journey begins with Hrithik at his desk, writing, making plans for the adventure. We next see him advancing through a stark landscape scarred by the remains of volcanic eruptions. He looks down from a great height on a river of molten lava flowing into the sea. Undeterred, Hrithik the adventurer climbs an icy slope to finally reach his destination. At the top of the world, he is at one with nature. In this immersive journey he embodies the ethos and curiosity of the contemporary voyager, eager to discover and feel with abandon.

The new Rado Hrithik Roshan Special Edition is designed for the adventurer who wears his watch as an attitude: proud, strong, ready for everything life can bring. Hrithik Roshan and the Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic are natural partners, true explorers connecting with nature in vintage style.

Captain Cook Chronograph

Revisiting a former yet still-notable success story, is one of watchmaking's great creative moments. The new timepiece must bring the best and most iconic elements of its predecessor, together with all that is exciting and innovative today—at the forefront of the very latest design, technology and style. It's a tall order, and the new Captain Cook Chronograph meets the challenge with panache. For the first time as a chronograph, the explorer favourite makes a brilliant return, in updated, exquisite proportions thanks to a unique, slimmer automatic movement, quite a rarity in the field. In this modern era of broad choices, the "Master of Materials" Rado also brings not one but three variants of their new chronograph, in distinct shades and strap/bracelet configurations sure to please even the most demanding enthusiasts. The timepiece and extra straps, which use the convenient EasyClip system for quick, effortless changes to suit the wearer's mood or particular occasion, come in a handsome special case, to keep everything safe between outings.

On the outside, the new Captain Cook Chronograph wears that charming, characteristic box-shaped glass, in scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both faces. The thinner, more comfortable and stylish 43mm case, in either polished stainless steel or circular-brushed bronze, features a polished high-tech-ceramic inlay on the bezel, in blue or black, as a perfect complement to the flange and the dial colour of the particular model. The latter presents a silver-to-blue gradient, another silver-to-black and another a blue sunray finish, all of them exquisite next to the appliquéd indices, markers and numerals, with key elements treated with Super-LumiNova® for excellent readability even in low-light conditions. In particular, the hour hand, with its bold and characteristic arrowhead tip, and the minute hand, strong and unmistakeable, as well as the red-tipped chronograph seconds sweeper, allow easy timekeeping in any exploration or journey, in the city or the great outdoors. The anchor symbol remains a delightful touch, in rhodium colour against a red backplate on this rugged and reliable timepiece, whose features now include a chronograph dial at 9 and standard seconds at 3 o'clock, in perfect visual equilibrium with the lower date window at 6 o'clock. The date itself is displayed in red against silver, in keeping with former models. Inside, the new, thinner R801 automatic movement, with 37 jewels, five hands and 59 hours of power reserve thanks to a NivachronTM anti-magnetic hairspring, exceeds standard accuracy test requirements by as much as five positions. Water resistance to 30 bar is assured by a screw-down case back, screw-in crown and pushbuttons, and Rado's predictably unwavering high-quality production technics.

Virile as ever and full of character, the new Captain Cook Chronograph is delivered with two additional straps in different materials and shades, according to the specific model. The two stainless steel models come with a matching three-row stainless steel bracelet with brushed central links and extensible folding clasp, and an additional coffee-brown or blue leather strap with contrasting stitching, as well as a sporty NATO-style, woven nylon strap, in blue or black, with steel pin-buckle closure. The bronze-coloured model comes with a NATO-style strap with a gold-coloured stripe down the centre, as well as a blue leather strap with accent stitching, and an additional NATO-style strap in deep blue, all with bronze pin-buckle closure. To keep everything together, the new Captain Cook Chronograph comes in a special case inspired by the built-to-last, two-strapped treasure chests of ancient explorers and navigators. Protected by a tough, black diver-nylon outer covering, the wooden (FSC) box is equipped with metal hardware, around a soft ivory-coloured interior where your spare straps can be safely stored, along with your favourite Rado, when not in use. All done with irresistible good taste and uncompromising precision.

HIGH-TECH CERAMIC, ETERNAL AND BREATHTAKING

The wild spontaneity of Nature—its organic, sometimes dramatic forms and colours, have forever kindled human creativity. Rado's partnership with Grandi Giardini Italiani, begun in 2017, brought their shared interests neatly together, and provided an excellent opportunity to extend Rado's True Thinline product into the True Thinline Nature collection. Showcasing Rado's mastery of materials, the new line highlighted their superb skill in high-tech ceramics in a variety of shades and colours, to celebrate the Earth and Nature. The slim, extremely comfortable, thinner timepieces became obvious choices for watch wearers. The collection was extended in 2021, with three models aptly-named Rado True x Great Gardens of the World, which joined the supreme technical execution of the early series, with breathtaking new design accents—oak leaves, jasmine flowers, mother-of-pearl and gorgeous high-tech ceramic case colours.

The latest in the series arrive under the evocative name "The Four Seasons". The four new models restate Rado's expertise in coloured high-tech ceramics, alongside innovative sapphire-crystal production technics. Each of the four models wears a different colour, from subtle to vivid, next to a unique, facetted watch glass to match the season. True to the eternal cycles of nature, the new models keep precise and reliable time, thanks to a Rado R420 quartz movement, with a two-hand display and 13 jewels.

The first timepiece is the herald of springtime. With its polished rose-coloured high-tech ceramic case, it speaks of blossoms returning, with a magnificent flower-facetted sapphire crystal. It prolongs the theme with a subtle gradient from silver to light pink on its dial, a rose-coloured flange and the Rado logo printed in dark grey. Like the others in the Four Seasons series, it is water-resistant to 3 bar (30 m). The bracelet is a polished, matching creation in rose-coloured high-tech ceramic, always a delight to touch.

The next model is an unabashed celebration of summer, in jubilant spirit. The monobloc high-tech ceramic case wears yellow, complemented by a dial with a silver-to-yellow sunshine gradient behind a sun-facetted sapphire crystal. Its crown and bracelet are also high-tech ceramic, this time in sunshine yellow to match the case and the dial flange. A titanium triple-fold clasp and a case back with a sapphire crystal digitally printed with "GREAT GARDENS OF THE WORLD" and the timepiece's chapter number, complete the feature set, as also found on the other models.

Autumn brings a pensive, deep-olive-green shade to the smooth monobloc high-tech ceramic case, crown and bracelet. It speaks of a forthcoming rest beneath the swirling leaves and blustery wind. Its leaf-facetted sapphire crystal protects a dial with a silver-to-olive-green gradient, an olive-green flange and a dark-grey Rado logo. Inside, the same reliable R420 quartz movement that equips the others in the series.

Winter peacefully concludes the Four Seasons, with its promise of rebirth after a time of rest. Serene and regal in white high-tech ceramic, the polished monobloc case, crown and bracelet carry the same peaceful mood enveloping the timepiece, behind its snowflake-facetted sapphire crystal. A cool white flange surrounds the silver-coloured dial and its dark-grey logo, while the R420 quartz movement keeps time, reliably and precisely, awaiting the return of spring. High-tech ceramic is lightweight and smooth but in white, it produces an even more sensuous feel—totally unforgettable.

For a full appreciation of the entire cycle, the Four Seasons series is also available in a handsome, limitededition (150 pieces) collector's box, home and shelter to all four timepieces, to be selected according to the season or the wearer's mood. Each timepiece is a true celebration of Nature and its seasons—that sacred, eternal rhythm to our human lives.

LOFTY SIXTIES ADVENTURE FOR THE MODERN WORLD

Time never stands still, for true explorers. The same can be said for the watch designers at Rado, who have taken an iconic model from the Sixties and equipped it with a high-quality Swiss hand-wound mechanical movement with 80 hours of power reserve. Characteristic design aspects from the original "Over-Pole Worldtimer" have been modernized, with a high-tech ceramic insert added to the bezel, laser engraving and a box-shaped sapphire crystal, while true vintage essentials have been kept, such as the iconic 37mm diameter and overall style. The watch will catch glances from all modern adventurers and vintage timepiece enthusiasts.

In that exciting era, not so long ago, international travel was a new thing, and it inspired rock songs, books, as well as watchmakers, the world over. People dreamed of exotic places and mysterious frontiers where timelines converged. At Rado, sparked by the promise of that new world, gifted watchmakers were busy creating the Rado Over-Pole timepiece, as a clever variant of the early Captain Cook series. The new “Worldtimer” sported a turning bezel with the key cities of the world, for quick estimation of the time in those locations — a smart, open invitation for all would-be globetrotters.

The first Over-Pole was a huge success, as it hinted at reliable timekeeping at the planet's polar limits, under an evocative name. To mark the anniversary of that exploration-inspired timepiece, Rado is launching a new Captain Cook Over-Pole Limited Edition, updated with the brand's latest technological features, while preserving the "vintage" look. The totally-modern workings are housed in a polished stainless-steel case, around which the key elements of the original design are clearly recognizable, such as the inward-sloping bezel with city names, the classic red date-numeral at 3 o'clock and the box-shaped glass, always a conversation piece. In the reissue, the bezel carries a black, polished high-tech-ceramic insert with laser engraving, for the city names, and the new glass is sapphire crystal, treated on both faces with anti-reflective coating. Real watch-lovers will marvel at the tactile, hands-on quality of the new model, thanks to its action-ready, explorer-centred, manually-wound movement. The screw-down case back now also includes its own sapphire crystal, showing the mention "Limited Edition" and the timepiece's edition unit number, so one can behold the heart that makes it all happen.

Successful reissues of any iconic object typically retain key features, while updating those which technology has found smart ways of improving. As the "Master of Materials", Rado has solid experience in evolving its product line in keeping with innovations in materials, design and production techniques. The new Over-Pole model is a perfect example. The edition will be produced as an exclusive series of 1962 units, with a manual-winding movement that provides an impressive 80 hours of power reserve. The movement, equipped with a NivachronTM antimagnetic hairspring, was chosen for its distinctive reliability and accuracy, and allows the new Over-Pole to exceed test requirements by five full points.

The new Captain Cook Over-Pole Limited Edition is delivered in a stylish brown pouch with a second bracelet, in rice-grain-style stainless steel, quickly interchangeable for a different look, thanks to the EasyClip system.
